Chapter 143: Isobel Fights

The group talked for some time with the woman, they realized that the town—Spiritstar—was not near as they predicted. They needed to travel for ten days to reach their destination. In the meantime, Noor gave the lady her white dress to wear that looked rather eye-popping on her sexy body. Ayaan looked at her and his heartbeat threatened to come out of his heart. Nonetheless, he controlled himself and looked somewhere else after lots of effort.

After some time later Noor asked her name. Her name was Trista Doyle, and she came from Spiritstar Town. Later everyone realized that this forest was also called Spiritstar Forest and because the town was inside the forest's territory, it was given a name based on the forest.

"So, in which direction do we need to go?" Ayaan asked with a smile to the lady, after conversing for some time.

"To reach Spiritstar Town we have to walk in the west for more than ten days." Replied Trista and Ayaan felt his breathing become hurried—It was like he wanted to pounce at the lady, and ravage her snow-white body. He hurriedly looked away, this was too peculiar.

Leafwhisk frowned at the side who saw his gaze. Though she didn't say anything, disapproval was visible in her eyes. How could he look at a lady like that whom he just met? She shook her head and didn't bother to think about it anymore. It wasn't her place to teach him about manners; he was an adult after all.

Trista led them inside the forest and told them to be careful of poisonous insects and wild beasts. Then she walked straight towards the west with a fast speed. Though it wasn't running it was still faster than normal walking.

From time to time, the beasts or poisonous insects would lunge at them from thickets. Nonetheless, every beast had been killed by them and insects couldn't do anything to them. Ayaan pinched most of them between his fingers.

Trista was shocked when she saw Ayaan pinching those insects in between her fingers. Her face turned weird. However, Ayaan pretended as if he didn't see her face and continued to walk.

There were all kinds of trees and vegetation, which attracted Leafwhisk's attention quite a bit. Though a disappointment appeared on her face whenever she examined those herbs or trees. They weren't up to her standards. There were many big and small trees but nothing could make Leafwhisk smile. She checked them every time and shook her head, disappointment visible.

Every time Leafwhisk went to check the trees of herbs or any other weird plantation, Trista would observe her very keenly, as if trying to learn something new. Nonetheless, Leafwhisk didn't mind her curious eyes that looked at her every time.

However, what frustrated her most was the trees in this forest—they were too low quality—no matter how keen her eyes were, she won't be able to produce plants out of nowhere if they didn't exist in the first place.

Just when she turned her disappointed gaze from a weird plant, her gaze fell on another plant. Most specifically it was a flower. The purple flowers with purple petals adorned the plant. There were three flowers at the top, and green leaves similar to the rose attached on its stem.

"Devil Hunter!" exclaimed Leafwhisk and sprinted towards the flower with a thrilled face. Her face showed unusual excitement. She stood in front of her and checked it once more. "Hehe, it really is Devil Hunter."

"What is this flower?" Ayaan asked and the group also walked to Leafwhisk and saw a flower—not so outstanding—It was a very ordinary flower.

"Hehe, don't worry. You will see the ability of this flower shortly." Chuckled Leafwhisk and hummed a beautiful tone as she transplanted the tree inside her ring. She looked rather pleased with her finding. Everyone was curious about the flower because they knew Leafwhisk's origin—except Trista—nothing ordinary would attract her gaze.

After that, the group resumed their walk. Trista would look at Leafwhisk from time to time, deep in thought. Her eyes filled with curiosity about this weird lady who remained unconcerned most of the time but would become over-excited after looking at vegetation, which she never thought would be of any value.

They moved and many more trees and plants greeted them, but there was nothing that attracted Leafwhisk's gaze. She remained passive all this time. Though she tried to search but to no avail. At last she could only walk with everyone.

"Hisss~"

Suddenly a hissing sounded and a huge black snake blocked their front. It had red eyes while its body was covered in black scales. From time to time the snake flicked the tongue out threateningly toward everyone.

Trista looked at the beast and her face turned pale and her body shivered in horror. She had never thought this beast would be in this area.

"Se-Serpent King!" stammered Trista when she saw the snake.

The snake was about two hundred meters long and had a very huge mouth. It was capable enough to swallow everyone down in a single gulp. Ayaan narrowed his eyes when he saw the beast. It was at the peak of the King Beast, however, it looked rather different from the king beasts he had encountered in the forest, but he didn't know-how.

He turned towards Trista and asked, "do you know anything about this beast?"

"Dead, all of us are going to die." Said the lady with her shivering voice.

Ayaan frowned when he saw her shivering. However, he didn't linger on her and turned towards the beast. No matter how powerful the beast as if it was a king beast, Ayaan and his group would be able to deal with it.

"Isobel," he looked at Isobel. "This beast is all yours."

"Alright," replied Isobel and walked towards the beast that hissed at them.

"I need this snake's fangs. I would be able to use them in my potion-making, later." Leafwhisk reminded her from behind. The lady nodded and stood in front of the beast.

Trista looked at Isobel in shock and then towards everyone's face. There wasn't any worry or fear on their faces. This was too peculiar. Do they really think that she would be able to kill a peak rank, King Beast? Her expression was weird at the moment.

"Hisss~"

The snake hissed at Isobel furiously when it saw her walking daringly. As Isobel arrived in front of the beast, the snake lunged at her with an eye-blinding speed. Isobel had no expression on her face. Two pins appeared in her hand, looking rather ordinary.

When Snake's fang revealed in front of everyone as it neared the lady.

"No! She is going to die!" shouted Trista.

"Shut up!" this time it was Noor who looked at her furiously. She could overlook anything but she would never overlook bad mouthing. She had said the wrong word which infuriated the lady. Not only her, but everyone else also looked irritated by her words.

Trista heard Noor's shout and shut her mouth. She never thought, Noor, the most gentle and carefree of all, would be this furious because of her words. She looked at Noor and apologized hurriedly. However, no one had time to pay her any attention. They turned towards Isobel.

"Swish!"

Just when the snake was about to gulp the beauty inside its mouth, Isobel jumped and arrived above the snake's head. The snake twisted its body and used its body to attack Isobel. She couldn't avoid the attack in the air and was struck by the tail.

"Cough~"

Isobel smashed away and coughed a mouthful of blood.

"Sister! Big sister," Noor, Rebecca, and Akash shouted with concern while Leafwhisk and Ayaan didn't say anything. They didn't want to interfere in the fight because every fight was a kind of opportunity for everyone to sharpen their skills.

Isobel whipped the blood out of her face by her hand and dashed towards the snake. The beast had a huge body that would block almost every way to retreat and Isobel's attacks weren't powerful enough to do much damage.

Her face covered with blood and her clothes tattered after fighting for more than half an hour. However, there was no fatigue on her face. On the other hand, the Snake King started to worn-out. Its speed had lessened quite a bit in this time.

"Don't play anymore. It has already lost its edge, finish it." Suddenly Ayaan spoke. Everyone else looked relaxed after hearing his word. Everyone knew Isobel was holding all this time, only to sharpen her skills a little bit more and she really did. The snake was already on the verge of defeat, if she continued like this it would take her at least half an hour more, but there wouldn't be any benefits. That's why Ayaan asked her to finish the beast.

Isobel nodded and turned toward the snake. Powerful energy discharged from her that was far stronger than the Core Formation Realm—Embryonic Realm—and she disappeared. When she looked she was already on the snake's head. She used her pins that were connected by a threat and strangled the beast. It was so smooth that it looked unnatural.

The beast struggled for at least a minute. Then its body fell to the ground, lifeless. There was a half a meter deep cut on its long neck that was given by Isobel's weapon. She looked at everyone and smiled triumphantly. Then placed her hand on the snake and it turned nothing but a dried husk. She had absorbed the snake's blood essence.

Afterward, she used her hand and dug out its two sharp fangs, and looked at Leafwhisk pleasantly. "Here take this."
