Chapter 134: Final Step

The group of five walked out of the training ground, leaving a little boy behind, who still had been indulged in his sword practice. His achievements weren't groundless, he practised like no one since he arrived here. After experiencing the weakness, this little guy didn't want to be trampled by anyone in the future under their feet like before.

Leafwhisk walked towards the legacy altar, but didn't stop in front of it and went behind the altar. There stood a gigantic wall, blocking their way.

Ayaan looked confused when he arrived before this wall. It was a black ordinary wall, without any noticeable or conspicuous about this wall, but he still tried to find something special, to only sigh disgruntledly in the end after a few failures.

"What are we doing before this wall?" asked Ayaan when he couldn't find anything striking about the wall.

"You have to complete your last step of getting full ownership," replied the lady when he saw everyone's lost expression. She still remembers the first time she saw this wall — sigh — as she thought about her past, a sigh escaped from between her rosy lips, but she controlled her emotions, not letting anyone see her slightly wet eyes.

"But I don't see anything special about this wall, it is just an ordinary wall, even the walls of my palace were fancier than this," Noor said while looking at the wall doubtfully.

"There is a saying: every shining thing's not necessarily gold. Similarly, every ordinary-looking thing isn't necessarily ordinary," replied Leafwhisk in her usual confident tone.

"Umm… So what do I need to do to reveal it's awesome side?" questioned Ayaan.

Leafwhisk turned towards him and before he could speak anything, she held his hand tightly and a tiny green light flickered out of her finger, cutting Ayaan's hand.

"Ouch! What are you doing?!" yelled Ayaan, while looking at Leafwhisk furiously.

However, the lady didn't give anyone a chance to raise any question, grabbing Ayaan's bleeding hand, she placed it on the wall, leaving a bloody five-fingered fingered over the wall.

Just when his hand landed over the wall, the entire pagoda started to tremble.

In the cold windy environment, the full moon scattered its rays, but only a few rays could arrive on the ground, due to the hindrance of the clouds. Due to continuous sandy gusts, it was impossible to see from a long distance.

However, in this terrible environment, hundreds of guards were roaming and checking their surroundings from time to time, they were rather active, not lazy guards like any other.

At the centre of this group of guards laid a gigantic tower, it was half-buried in the sand while only half could be seen.

At this time, near that massive tower were sitting two men, looking rather intimidating; the most curious thing was that no sand or wind could reach near these two. Both of them were sitting on chairs, in between of them laid a tea table while beside them burned a campfire continuously. The duo sipped their tea from time to time and talked casually.

"Do you think they are still inside the tower?" asked the man with bushy brows, and brown hair; he looked around the age of forty, with a small goatee. His moustache pointed like a sword towards the sky while he settled them every now and then.

"Hmm, it's very possible, we didn't find any trace of those youngsters anywhere, they must be hiding inside the tower or maybe, one of them was able to get the tower's legacy," said another man with emerald eyes, his face white-snow and eyes sharp as swords. His hair was black and looked around the same age as the first man.

"But it's been more than two months since they entered the tower, do you think they died inside the tower due to some mishap?" asked the first man, eager to talk more.

"I don't know, no one has entered the sixth level before, so no one could say anything about what would happen there. Bara, I heard your daughter's talent is pretty good and became one of elder's disciple not long ago?'' The second man changed the topic, not interested in discussing the matter of the tower.

"Haha, she is pretty lucky to gain recognition of the elder, nothing to be brag about," said Bara humbly, but a proud expression appeared on his face when another man mentioned his daughter.

Afterwards, he continued, "Veera, isn't your son also becoming the disciple of the elder? though, in a sense, they are just one major stage above us, their strength is not something we could compare to," sighed Bara.

"He just got lucky to get one of elder's attention, not worth mentioning," said Veera. However, inside he sneered at the Bara, feeling nothing but contempt for him. After all, Bara had come from a humble background, but he was from a noble family, but now, Bara could sit equally in front of him. Naturally, he felt that it was an insult for him and his noble family.

However, he was restricted due to the rules of the sect and couldn't voice his dissatisfaction and could only suppress his discontent inside his heart. Obviously, Bara was completely unaware of his annoyingness.

"Oh, yes, did any news was found about King Alexander and his subordinate who killed the envoy in the Life City of the Eastern Continent?" inquired Veera. He was more interested in this king than in Ayaan and others, after all, they were just jailbirds, stuck inside the tower, but King Alexander was still outside roaming without any fear.

"Our people had found his trails at the border of the Eastern Continent and had a violent fight with him and his subordinate. In the end, all of our people were killed by those two and disappeared as they had never appeared," explained Bara, "However, according to their traces our people analysed that they must be going to the Central Plains."

"Central Plains?" Veera looked towards the north, and said, "if they were able to reach the Central Plain, it would be hard to deal with them, our enemies would try to definitely require them. If what you have told me is true then those are definitely above king mage or maybe… They are also cultivators."

"Impossible!" shouted Bara, "How could someone from the Eastern Continent become a cultivator without our knowledge?"

Veera sneered, "There are many things you aren't aware of, but it doesn't mean they don't exist. At the start, only our sect had the cultivation techniques and started to become powerful at a rapid pace; at that time, our enemies noticed the change and started to fear. But who knew that they would start to capture our disciples and torture them to tell them what techniques they were cultivating.

"At last, they couldn't endure the torture and told our enemies those precious cultivation techniques which we excavated from the tower. When our higher-ups realised the crux of the matter, it was already too late, the calfs had been turned into vicious wolves, and had the power to defend themselves. At that time our sect had destroyed quite a few clans and sects, but alas...

"The Central Continent is a huge place, and our sect is just a drop in the sea, how could they fight the entire Central Plain? They had to drop the idea after giving a hollow warning. Now those forces had become so powerful and could even threaten our foundation if they assembled together."

Bara couldn't help but fall silent after hearing the man. Though he was arrogant and didn't want to acknowledge these lowly people as his equal, his knowledge was vast and his mind sharp.

"So you're saying that he might be the remnant of those sects or clans which our people had destroyed?" asked Bara with slight understanding.

"Who knows? Maybe I am correct or maybe not. Anyways, this matter has already alerted Elder Counsel and they will deal with this issue as they want '' replied the man, not interested to talk anymore.

Bara nodded and also fell silent.

"Boom!"

"What!?"

"What is happening!?"

Just when they stopped their conversation, the entire area started to tremble. Alerted everyone on the scene.

"I-I think the tremor is coming from the tower," said Bara, looking at the tower in shock and bewilderment.

"What!?" Veera turned around and saw that the tower was shaking with a great might which affected the surrounding area.

"Everyone surrounds the tower; be on high alert, no one should pass this place!" shouted Veera anxiously.

Inside the tower, Ayaan looked at the wall and saw his blood started to spread all over the wall. At first, the blood spread without any pattern or marking, but later, the blood started to form a shape over the wall.

"What is happening!?" asked Ayaan with bewilderment.

"I-I am not sure," replied Leafwhisk with a confused expression.

Ayaan couldn't help become anxious after hearing such a reply. He looked around and asked, "Where is the boy?!"

"He-he is still inside the training ground," Noor replied.

"Go, get him!" said Ayaan, and Noor dashed towards the training ground.

Gradually the image started to become clear and vivid revealing itself in front of everyone.
