Chapter 26 - Union and Rejection - Final Part

My aunt stopped and opened her mouth but no words came out. My uncle was obviously upset and looked at me and said. ''Nobody is born that way. Don't be afraid with us, nothing will happen to you.''

At this point I just didn't want to deal with any more of this nonsense and its concepts that they brought from the muggle world. ''Uncle Ted, Nymphadora was born with a unique ability and so am I. I know that what I have shown affects you but it is something normal in this world.''

At that time he didn't know what to say, he had no idea what was going on. But as always Nymphadora asked the right questions. Although she was a child it seems that her mind allowed her to see beyond the obvious. Possibly this is one of the reasons why she became an Auror.

''Arcas, what do you mean, what is normal? Other families can do the same?'' She asked. I turned my face to hers. She really has no complexes with me or my abilities, it must be because she has a similar ability and identifies more with me than with the rest of the magical population.

''Nymphadora is normal that's why there is such a big division between the houses and the rest of the magic population.'' I answered her. At that moment something clicked on my uncle Ted and he said.

''Arcas you shouldn't talk about things like that you are to young to understand about those topics.'' My uncle said. One could see that he was panicking. He did not want to hear more about that subject even though he already imagined the answer.

''Uncle, I understand perfectly about this even if Im so young. I know that this issue is difficult for you because you have suffered the prejudice that exists in this world. Especially because when you joined you were just a child and for you everything was magic and wonders. Even now that there is a war there are many muggle borns who join our world in fantasy.'' I replied.

At that moment I saw my aunt's puzzled face. She, like the great majority, did not know why that division existed until now. While my uncle bites his lip lightly. Neither one of the 2 is to blame for not knowing this information. Since Dumbledore being in the power of education for so many years had created a fantasy of what the magical world really was and the differences that existed between the new members of it and the families that already existed.

In that my aunt whose lip was trembling a little asked. ''And why would our family need that kind of power like the one you have shown us? Why hide it and reject so many people?''. I could see our family's determination on her face. The panic was over and finally the rejection was gone.

''Because it is necessary. The true magical creatures that exist free are much more dangerous than what is actually shown. Besides, there are other countries that want to influence ours and if there were no powerful magicians they could do it. And the reason why it is a hidden information is because of Dumbledore, he is the one who is hiding the information after all he has all the control of the educational system of the country.'' I answered my aunt.

Both my aunt and my uncle were mortified. At the time they couldn't believe that Dumbledore was secretly hiding that information. That explained why the vast majority of Hodwards students did not get a job. They did not want to believe it but the demonstration of true magic that I demonstrated was the best proof that all those noble power speeches were true and that there was a class difference.

I knew that it was a lot to digest in one go and that they would have to talk to my great grandfather to understand the reality in which we lived, so I decided that it was best for them to rest. And so I decided to call Fomsey to take them to his new room which I was sure my great grandfather had already commissioned her to prepare.

''Mrs. Andromeda, Mr. Ted. Please follow me to your room. Fomsey is a good elf. Fomsey has everything ready.'' She said while leaving with them. As they were leaving, I could see that something was changing in their eyes. The impact of a saying by a 3-year-old boy told them and showed something like that must have affected them more than I expected. And while I was thinking about the implications this could have for the future, I listened.

''Fomsey is fun. But why did she always say that she is a good elf? Nymphadora asked.
