Chapter 162 - Arriving At The Auction House

Name:Godslayer's Legend Author:_michael
Meanwhile, Arthur, who Hades was wondering how he was doing, was currently on planet Nemo, laughing his ass out with Larry as the two remembered the shocked look on Lute's face when three demigods suddenly appeared and attacked him.

While they had no intention to actually harm him, it did not change the fact that it would not be easy for him to escape the encirclement of the trio.

To make matters worse, the one moment he took his eyes off Arthur, a portal appeared behind him and a 'high drifter' he recognized walked out.

Seeing his liege smile while waving at him before entering the portal, he instantly realized the identities of the three demigods and why they came over to attack him at that point in time.

Unfortunately, the space magic of the leader of the Hell universe's drifters was too swift and left no traces to be followed.

The trio of demigods also took their leave via teleportation orbs the moment the drifter left with the young prince.

"HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!"

"Hahahah...the look on his face was priceless....hahaha."

The two were laughing it off as they made their way to the carriage prepared for them, to take them to the auction site.

"Okay, hahaha, let's get down to business."

Barely managing to curb his laughter, Larry tapped Arthur on the shoulder and warped the two of them to a different location.

"It would take a while for them to prepare it so let me give you these first."

He pulled out a pair of earrings from his subspace and handed them to Arthur before continuing.

"The left one changes your hair color to whatever color you wish, the right one does the same to your eyes."

Arthur picked up the earrings and nodded before putting them on. He then poured magic power into them, causing his silver hair to turn black and his black eyes to turn red.

"Odd choice but oh well..."

Larry shrugged and gave Arthur a faces mask that covered the lower half of his face, up on till right below his eyes.

"Odd choice of mask, but oh well..."

Arthur repeated Larry's words causing the latter to frown before speaking.

"It's the new fad, I admit it's odd but that's what's trending now. Anyway, here's your token, and your compass so you don't get lost."

The two of them talked about a few more things while waiting for the carriage that was to carry Arthur to arrive.

Larry had work to do behind the scenes so he could not accompany Arthur in, he did provide one of the best VVIP private booth seats that had inhibition magic circles inscribed everywhere on them to prevent others from discovering who or what was going on in the room.

The only way to know if someone was even in there was when he or she raised their number tag to bid.

About 30 minutes later, a servant walked in and notified them that the carriage was ready. Arthur then decided to change his outfit before going over to the auction venue.

He changed from his causal shirt and trousers to a black turtle neck shirt, and black trousers. He then wore a blazer with a red flower brooch on the chest pocket.

"Seems alright doesn't it?"

Coming out of the changing room, he asked Larry who nodded in affirmation before snapping his fingers, warping both him and Arthur to the location.

"You could just send me there you know?"

"Arriving on the carriage is a bit of a must."

Larry chuckled as he led Arthur to where his carriage waited.

Looking up, Arthur could not help but marvel at the beauty of the night sky. The night sky of the planet Nemo was overwhelming in a different sense than the daytime.

A heavy blue, close to black, covered the sky. The darkness looked as if it was made to be cold and heavy. The horizon could not be distinguished, as the darkness melted from the heavens to the earth.

Starlight cascaded down. And beyond, the white moon shone.

The moon was brighter in the dark.

However, it never pushed the darkness away. The moonlight was in harmony with the darkness, as it conveyed warmth in the coolness of the dark.

Seeing it, Arthur felt he understood what it was like to be 'breathless', even though it was just for a moment.

As he was staring at the sky, he noticed something and narrowed his eyes at it.

"That's your ride."

At the same time he heard Larry's voice, he could clearly see the figure carriage descending from the night sky, amidst the moonlight. It was a white wagon without a roof and it looked incredibly beautiful to see.

It was pulled by a group of sentient cat-like monsters that had the power to leap through space. It was due to this ability that most drifters kept them as pets.

"Off you go. Oh and, when you get in, don't try to resist it."

Larry left those strange words as Arthur got on the carriage and put on his mask, the next moment the carriage took off into the sky. It was not physically fast, but its speed was faster than what Arthur expected.

The cat-like monsters, utilized their space leaping abilities in sync with each other, causing the carriage to cross over the distance that was as large as the average country in just a minute.

Within five minutes, the carriage gradually began its descent to the ground, making Arthur feel a similar thrill as if he was riding a roller coaster.

Fortunately or unfortunately, it did not last long. When the carriage landed, Arthur jumped out and surveyed the white desert that seemed to not have an end that he was in.

He pulled out the compass that Larry gave him and walked in the direction it pointed in, not noticing when the carriage behind him took off and returned to the sky.

He had only taken a few steps before the place where he stood suddenly transformed from an unending desert into a cozy wooden corridor.

At the end was a wooden door, with a masked man in a suit standing right next to it. He bowed towards Arthur and extended his hand out.

Arthur acknowledged him with a nod and gave him his token. The man looked at the token and nodded before pouring his mana into it.

This action sent out a signal and Arthur suddenly sensed two presences appear behind him. He turned around and was met with the figures of two voluptuous women wearing evening gowns that accentuated all their curves.

They both had butterfly masks covering the upper halves of their faces and gestured towards the door.

"Allow us to lead you, dear customer."

The masked man returned Arthur's token to him and opened the door. One of the two women then walked forward, gesturing Arthur to follow which he did.

However, the moment he stepped in through the door, he was overwhelmed.

Beyond the door was a banquet hall for the 'giants'.

The moment the door opened, the air changed. An unbearable weight suffocated his whole body.

It reflexively conjured up past memories.

When he first met the mid-tier deity Lewis, the first time Creusery showed him what it was like when he was serious during training.

And the most recent one, when he could barely stand, faced with the pressure from Esna's father Richard.

However, this was different. This was a completely different kind of pressure from that time.

It was like a whirlwind. Dozens of giant pools of energy collided and tangled together, creating a complex stream of energy.

Not just one, but several.

Forming a dense suffocating tightness.

He reflexively tried to draw out his own energy to resist the rampaging energy but he remembered Larry's words to him.

'Oh and, when you get in, do not try to resist it.'

He clenched his teeth and looked around, and then he understood the meaning.

The people in the hall were all just standing there naturally. They didn't purposely try to create such pressure by concentrating their energies.

They just radiated it naturally. And their emanating energy tangled together created the current heaviness.

Seeing this, Arthur decided to emulate something similar with his magic power. He didn't try to resist this time, he just let his magic radiate off his body and blend in with the surrounding energies. He failed on his first try but got it on the second.

The woman who was leading him to his seat chuckled inwardly.

'It seems this is the boy's first time on Nemo, other places aren't exactly as wild as here.'

However, her thoughts changed when she sensed the essence of the law of time coming from Arthur behind her.

'What?! Just how strong is this kid?! He's already comprehending laws? That means he's at least a transcendent!!'

Since she could not sense Arthur's realm of existence due to the concealment ring, she ended up having a great misconception about his strength.

Meanwhile, Arthur was finally feeling comfortable after imbuing a bit of time essence into his magic power, not realizing that he had shocked the two women who were leading him to his seat shitless.
