The road ahead looked like a tangled metal network as the seventh company commander Everich and his soldiers made steady progress.

In the distance, the huge Obsidian Statue is like a sleeping predator.

When the company commander rushed to the end of the passage and outside the open hall, the stench of dirty blood floated from the slaughterhouse and entered his air intake grille. It was obvious that there had been a battle here, and the fragments of power armour and broken limbs and arms were scattered on the ground.

Just as Everich was convinced that they had not been found, a group of immortals with Gauss guns appeared in front of them and stopped them.

For a moment, the dark green flash lit up the half light and half dark channel.

Yarok, the flag bearer next to Everich, was hit in the chest by two Gauss. His armor was torn open by powerful energy, and blood splashed out.

The flagman twisted and fell to the ground, and his main heart and second heart were all broken.

"Battle formation!!"

Averich held out his hand to the flag and handed it to the adjutant.

The team relies on both sides with the help of complex frames. When the star soldiers try to shorten their distance from the enemy and win the advantage, a scorpion undead vehicle suddenly rises from the ground and launches its main gun.

Boom!

A fiery pillar of fire rushed into the air like ink in the water.

At the edge of the shock wave, the three star soldiers were thrown away by the impact force and slammed into the metal wall plate on the side. The wall plate did not succumb to the sudden impact of a large number of broken meat and refined porcelain.

Even across his armor, Everich felt the heat of the explosion blowing on his face, and the alarm sensor sounded wildly.

He stumbled, but remained standing and roared to command the charge.

"For the emperor!!"

When the second company commander piliser heard the explosion from the West and saw the thick smoke and flames in the sky, he was sneaking close through a secret passage.

They approached one of the energy nodes of the world engine, but a dense wall of darkness filled the starfighter's sight.

"Averich, report,"

The voice of war leader amurad came through the helmet communication array. He noticed the sudden obvious heat signal on the tactical display screen.

"I'm afraid we've been found, commander."

"Gather your troops and advance to the energy node!"

"Obey your orders, commander!"

After Everich replied, he ordered his combat team to quickly leave the battlefield and lead to other teams he could contact through a labyrinth of pipes to concentrate on the central passage where he was located.

As they moved forward, Everich took the lead, casting a shadow over everyone from the huge platform overlooking the earth's surface.

Instinctively, he looked up and saw a row of aliens with Gauss guns pointing down at them.

In the blink of an eye, the decomposition rays hit them like raindrops.

Everich rolled and hid under the shadow of the statue.

Another adjutant of the company, grace, was distracted and appeared a little slow. He paid for his laxity. A hot ray blew a hole in his trunk and baked the Star Warrior in his armor.

With a loud clang, he fell to the ground.

Everich responded with the roar of his blaster pistol. When the statue around him was torn, he glimpsed the target on the notched main beam.

Under his leadership, the remaining star soldiers erected storm shields to avoid the enemy's fire and detour.

Everich clings to the nearest platform base and looks around to measure the terrain and how to lead them the rest of the way to the energy node.

Several narrow channels are formed between the wall and the base, on which is the observation platform supported by metal supports. In the distance, there are ring frame air defense firepower, defense turrets and clusters of sensor probes.

When the fire of the blaster gun continued to suppress them, Everich withdrew and hit the rock wall.

"Company commander, we were ambushed!"

A soldier shouted in the communication array, trying to overcome the noisy environment. Even if he was yelling, he still looked very calm.

There was a pause after the message was sent, and a vague voice came in.

"Support is coming."

The short reply soon disappeared, and Everich could only vaguely judge that it might be soshyang's voice.

After the second round of counterattack, a series of small explosions swept the observation platform, and debris splashed like a shower.

A tactical team came to support.

Everich stood up and shouted orders before the smoke from the explosion dissipated.

"Don't give them time to react! Kill them! Kill them now!"

The astats broke the bunker and began to charge, leaving the dead behind.

Two hundred corpses with stiff steps formed a queue, appeared from several channels, and immediately began to counter charge.

"Fire!"

As soon as Everich roared, he immediately felt the blast of blaster guns fired by the soldiers obeying orders behind him.

The effect of the volley was cruel. Rows of aliens fell under the onslaught, and the bodies plunged into their own kind, twitching and rotating under the impact of the blaster.

The parts flew out in all directions, and the debris piled up like sandbags, tripping over the aliens who followed.

This was not a one-sided attack. There were also star soldiers killed by the enemy's counterattack fire, but the disciplined astats took out their close combat weapons before the first batch of cannon fodder approached.

A scarred and stained corpse like an engine man came to Everich with a Gauss Rifle with a blade.

The company commander greeted the enemy with his shrill chainsaw sword and cut it into the alien's chest.

The dead didn't die immediately, twisting the weapon in Everich's hand.

Astat did not pause and threw the poor creature away, so powerful that the wreckage whirled in the air and crashed into its humble kind.

The seventh company commander then turned over the second attacker with a low sweep.

The captain of a tactical team came to averich with enthusiasm and confidence and joined the scuffle.

When he rushed into the enemy group, his broken limbs and arms fell like raindrops, and his face without helmet showed a frightening anger.

Out of the corner of his eye, Everich saw another colleague beheading an enemy trying to fire, which aroused greater enthusiasm among the soldiers.

However, despite the ruthless and wanton slaughter, these humble aliens refuse to retreat. They are all soulless machines, have no concept of fear, and will not be angry because of the death of the same kind.

"Drive them back!"

Everich clenched his teeth and roared, smashing an enemy over with one blow of his combat shield.

But when he was about to do his best, he suddenly fell back, and two or three bodies fell on him from the ground. Even if only half of these machines were left, they still had the ability to move.

In the frenzy, he lost his shield, but when he groped in the fallen sea of corpses, he found the handle of his chainsaw sword.

Turn on the chain saw switch and Everich cuts through the metal to liberate himself.

But soon, countless hands grabbed him and tried to pull astat down. When he tried to get up, the cold bones of his hands grabbed his armor.

This is not the way humans fight, and few aliens are willing to die like this, even when there is something worth doing.

This is why the astats are deadly warriors. They are the ultimate weapon for any enemy who will be infected by natural fear, because a Star Warrior can control and expel his fear.

But space undead is another enemy, an enemy that even star soldiers can't defeat.

"Damn it!"

Averich said between his teeth. He got rid of a machine with only the upper half of his chest and stood up with the help of his comrades in arms.

"Now we have to kill them all."

Surrounded by the dead, the company continued to move forward, but a shot suddenly hit his side, and Everich felt a violent burst of pain.

"Oh!"

He stumbled, which gave his enemies the gap they needed.

A suddenly agitated metal corpse pounced on the injured astat, and then the attacker's weight dragged him down. Their cold touch filled his senses.
