Chapter 105 - Part 7. Fate.

August 4th, 1959. 06:01:25.

Standing still in his apartment's kitchen, Ezekiel observed how everything went backward as just like previously the days went back and his persona disappeared through the days he had gone, until today. Examining his coat, he noticed everything he had previously taken notes around the data of his discoveries, or his 'laptop' which he manufactured on December 17th, 1959 was still there.

Walking out of the kitchen, he examined each room as there was no one inside whilst the bed which he had slept was all wrinkled up, yet he, who was supposed to be sleeping wasn't there. Taking everything from his coat out, Ezekiel placed it orderly on the bed as he started thinking back to the previous times he used [Gate to the Multiverse] and went back in time.

Similar yet unlike in 'Absolutely Anything', when Ezekiel had appeared in that habitable planet where he stayed practicing his abilities, after he had used the same method and went back to the time where his past self left from the house to start his journey, his self where he practiced his abilities or re-appearance to the Universe wasn't presented through the rewind he saw of the planet with the Universe. Yet, he did see himself leaving his house.

This may be the influence of whatever 'Universe Power 1' might be, or something he isn't sure of, after all, he has no knowledge of this ability or power which lets him travel through Universes', something which transcends SpaceTime, or is what he would like to think. It could be anything as far as Ezekiel is concerned, after all, the questions which he has each time he learns something increases by each answer he discovers.

Bending down, Ezekiel picked up the blueprint which he drew yesterday as he observed the designs which could have 'upgrades' to them. Picking a pen from the top of the bed, where he placed his items, he started drawing as he prepared to re-do everything he did those days, have the same conversation he had previously, and re-experience the known or perhaps unknown which may be caused by the buŧŧerfly wings…

August 13th, 1959. 16:08:04.

Assembling the equipment once again, Ezekiel sat on the table's chair as the moonlight shone brightly whilst the ticking of the clock echoed through the house with the clashing of the metals with every second.

Everything has proceeded similarly since he arrived in this world, though the time changed as some things which were supposed to happen in one day happened in two or half a day, it all led to him receiving his equipment later than it was prior to. Though it didn't matter as much as it did previously, due to the fact that many things are already known by him and the fact that things which he previously did, had become unnecessary.

Although now he required a vast amount of money, for which he decided to make deals with Ozymandias as the connection is established much faster than before and also facilitates many things in upcoming events…

August 20th, 1959. 13:05:25.

Occupying a table of two inside 'The Bestiary' bar within the Gila Flat Test Base, Ezekiel observed the couple not far from where he sat as they flirted with each other due to the lack of people and the quiet environment.

Shifting his gaze back to the coffee on his front, Ezekiel threw in the sugar as he slowly mixed it and watched as the chemical's reacted with each other, enjoying the smallest of wonders the Universe offers. Although unknown to all the organisms of this planet, today's day will go down and be known as the day 'God' shed his human body & descended upon Earth, though he is re-experiencing the event which went wrong.

Janey: "Jon? Did you fix my watch yet?" asked whilst her legs climbed on him, teasing and smiling at him seductively.

Jon looked and heard what she said, as he came to remember the watch, "as a matter of fact, I did! It's right…oh" searching through his pockets he exclaimed in a low voice, as he remembered he placed the watch on top of the coat which he left behind in the Chamber.

Janey: "What's the matter?" she wondered rubbing his foot.

Jon: "Nothing, I left it on my lab coat when we were resetting the Intrinsic Field Chamber this morning" he said pointing back towards the direction. Removing his girlfriend's leg entanglement he slowly got up, "just wait here, I will get it back" he said, before turning around and walking out of the door both came from.

Looking at his back, Janey took a second before she recovered her gaze and started to mix the sugar in her coffee.

Observing as the event started to take place, Ezekiel's right hand went inside his coat as the same pill he previously made was brought out and got up as he took out the same Comic he used the last time. Leaving behind the untouched coffee, he walked through the various tables, as he took the path which passed through Janey's table as suddenly his left hand holding the Comic jolted up, causing it to fall below her feet.

Janey who was about to start drinking saw a shadow fall beside her, as she turned over and saw a Comic of a woman with a skirt floating up in the sky and the Comic's title 'Sensation Comics'. Looking ahead, she saw an extremely handsome man approach her as he bends down and picked up the Comic Magazine and heard him, "I didn't mean to startle you".

Janey: "No, no, it's okay" she smiled at him as she saw him leave by her side and focused once again down on her coffee.

Opening the door and leaving, Ezekiel put the Comic inside his coat as the 'Immortality Pill' was already thrown within her coffee. Looking at the watch in hand, he saw time ticking at the same place it was when he previously walked out and yet the same uneasy feeling of something being wrong disturbed within his mind.

Following the same tracks leading up to the building, Ezekiel saw Jon outside talking with Wally Weaver his co-worker and probably only friend here who he can talk about everything. Waiting patiently, he observed his watch in hand as there wasn't any sort of anomaly yet. Finally, Jon moved away as he walked towards the inside of the building whilst he too moved and followed.

Passing by Wally who had both his hands inside his coat as he observed the sky boringly, Ezekiel walked up the stairs and entered inside looking at Jon who was already inside the Intrinsic Field Chamber.

Jon: "Aha! Just where I left it" he said whilst picking both up. Outside the chamber, Ezekiel looked at the timer which was still left with [00:08] seconds.

'Time' seemed to slow down, as Ezekiel noticed the same actions take place as Jon was once about to walk out of the Intrinsic Field Chamber. Using his physic powers, which he didn't wish to, he altered the mind of Jon who picked the coat and watch as he stood there for a second he shouldn't be, whilst 'Fate' & 'Destiny' seemed to have discovered their previous tracks as the metal door closed in before it was supposed to.

Waking from the sudden daze he was in, Jon looked at the door which closed in as panic and fear took over him. Walking to the door, he looked through the window as he saw no one there and started banging with all his strength while screaming out loudly for everyone, "WALLY…JANEY…" and due to such, Wally who waited outside heard the shout as there was no one working because of the break.

Running inside, Wally started sweating as he observed Jon trapped inside and his heartbeat reached levels beyond they had ever before.

Jon: "Hey Wally, let me out of the door" said as a little he became a little relieved.

Wally looked at him, as his face changed and anguish, fear, and terror was descended with those words his friends uttered, "J-Jon, I-the door is completely locked, and once it is locked, I-it can't be opened because of safety measures" he screamed as he was trying not to stutter, which not only didn't help either but also attracted the attention of various colleagues in the other rooms.

As they looked at the Jon inside, whispers started echoing as no one did anything to help him whilst some who did try to overwrite the command from behind. Suddenly Jon who could be said in the worst situation of his life seemed to have his 'Time' stopped, as Janey came in running whilst the sweat was all over her head and looked at him with fear, sadness, and terror.

Janey: "What are you doing Jon? GET HIM OUT WALLY" she screamed fully knowing the truth of the matter, but screamed also trying to comprehend the situation she is in.

Wally's face paled even more, as he realized everything is about to change and yet he couldn't do anything, "I can't Janey, the door is completely locked" he said while looking down and with a voice so low yet so loud in Janey's ear.

Janey: "no, NO! NO! NO!" she screamed, looking at his beloved through the other side, while tears started forming as she saw the Chamber starting up. Looking at his face one more time, she started running out as she couldn't take in what is about to happen.

Jon: "Don't! Don't leave me!! Janey, I need you, I need-" he hadn't finished as Janey turned around and cut him off.

Janey: "NO! Don't ask me to stay and watch you as you die, please I just can't…" she said not stopping anymore.

Wally: "I-I am sorry Osterman, the program is locked and we can't override the time-lock. It's…it's a safety feature" he repeated what he said previously as if trying to explain and understand the situation present for both. Though all that was happening, he couldn't remove his eyes from his friend's body as it was helping him process the situation.

Jon, who saw Janey leave, didn't listen to anything anymore, as his attention was on the watch in his hands and the Chamber started working. 'Time' seemed to slow down for him as death came to him, and laugher came out of his mouth as he instinctively tried to deviate from the situation before…he completely ceased.

Everyone inside the room quietly looked at the situation, as no one is in the mood to talk, nor in the mood to do anything. Just a moment ago, whether known or unknown, a colleague of theirs died as they couldn't do anything and not even a body was left to bury. On the other hand, Ezekiel who observed the event as Jon screamed in pain as he died, didn't feel anything, instead, he just walked away as he waited for 'God' to appear.
