Chapter 1041: Get a Tattoo

From that day on, Alex began sorting all the knowledge about Alchemy. To be honest, he felt he had covered a great deal of knowledge in just one year. First of all, he had knowledge about Alchemy, Array, and Forging. And in another inheritance, he got the information about Element Arts and Martial Arts.

Unfortunately, he never had time to learn all of them. Even though he was sure that most of the information would just go to the dump, he still learned a lot.

Alex promised himself to learn about Forging, Element Arts, and Martial Arts even if it took a few months to finish it. This would surely give him an advantage in the long run.

As soon as Alex completed his training, Alicia and Lilda quickly tested his understanding of array. They were shocked because Alex understood most of the questions and answered them pretty well.

Lilda even gave an acknowledgment as proof to be one of the masters in arrays. As long as he could use the arrays perfectly, Lilda believed that Alex wouldn't lose to a normal master.

In fact, he might become at Alicia's level in an instant.

They taught Alex the practical way to use an array and a few methods to create the symbols. There was also a way to draw an array in the ground, tree and other things. They covered all those environments in order to allow Alex to leave his array anywhere.

Alex was very eager to learn all this knowledge, especially after understanding the wonder of Alchemy from Firia. Arrays also held that kind of potential.

After that, he went to another topic which was the Array Plate. He even got a chance to draw some Array Plates to the fullest ability. However, Alex became more absurd at this point.

He showed Lilda his Simulation Room. She couldn't be more surprised because this was her first time to see an illusion world as complete as Alex's Simulation Room.

Lilda didn't forget to remind Alex not to show it to anyone else because that technique was far too monstrous than he could think. Alex said, "He understands."

Although a bit unwilling, Lilda agreed with him and let him use the array whenever he liked.

It took a while, but Lilda also decided to draw the tattoo despite having yet to reach the time limit.

Alex told her the five Arrays he wanted.

The first and most important was his Teleportation Array. However, the second one was a Barrier called Star Barrier Array.

This barrier used the power of the star, but when Alex took another look at it, he realized that his Pure Fire could replace the power of the sun, allowing him to release more power for this barrier.

The second Array was Sun Moon Reflection. The array he had been using this whole time to create a Special realm.

As for the third array, Alex chose a Bind Array called Ten Thousands Sword Formation Array. As the name implied, it summoned thousands of swords that could seal one's movement. Alex even tested it himself, and it was pretty effective when someone got trapped in the array.

But he also realized that with enough strength, you could break free easily. Even his Pure Fire burned all the swords before they could even touch him. That was why Alex believed that the charm of this technique was when the enemy had no way to escape anymore.

Since his main fighting style revolved around his Sword and Spear, he used this one for support instead. Besides, his Sword Qi would be of help in this area.

After taking a while to come up with the last array, the fifth array, which was supposed to be an elemental array, was the Hellfire Array. This array allowed him to create an undying fire with his Pure Fire.

Of course, it remained blazing as long as the array was still there. If it were taken out, the flame would naturally disappear.

After listening to what he wanted, Lilda offered a few solutions, but Alex seemed to have something in his mind when picking all those arrays. Understanding the reason behind them, Lilda gave her approval and continued to draw the tattoo.

The information was enough after all.

They arrived inside a white room with a chair in the middle along with weird equipment in all places. He looked around and asked, "Are you living here?"

"Of course not. I apologize if it's too messy…I don't have time to put the trash away."

"Why don't you ask someone to do it for you?"

"It's fine. I can do it later and it won't affect me." She waved her hand before shaking her head helplessly. She stored all the trash with her Space Ring, but the liquid remained.

Kai decided to use his Pure Fire to evaporate them and made the place clean.

"Thank you, Your Majesty." She hurriedly thanked Alex when she saw her room became clean again.

"It's fine." Alex nodded before looking at the chair in the middle. From the structure alone, the chair looked like the chair that the dentist used. He asked, "So, I should sit there?"

"Yes. But I would like to know where you are going to place the tattoo.."

"Hmm. I haven't thought about that." Alex glanced at Alicia.

"I am not sure. You can do it anywhere, but since you already have one on your back, I think it's better to do it elsewhere. Maybe your chest or something…"

Alex looked down, falling into deep thought. After a while, he decided. "I will go with the forearm, near the shoulder like Alicia."

"I understand. I shall draw it there. Do you prefer your left one or the right one?"

"Left."

She nodded. "Please sit on the chair."

Alex followed her instruction and sat down, but the chair soon changed its posture from sitting to lying down.

"Please turn around and lie on your belly. Also, it's better to take off your shirt, so it allows me to do it faster with more precision."

"How long do you take before?" Alex asked while unbuttoning his shirt. He took it off and handed the shirt to Alicia.

"It was two days. The symbols were very small, and I needed to carve three million symbols during the process. It was hard."

"I see." Alex nodded and laid down.

Instead of the usual way to draw like using a brush or something, Lilda brought a thin needle…A very thin one that even Alex had a hard time seeing.

"That's so thin…" Alex couldn't help but comment.

"I have this one with me." She brought glasses that seemed to have the effect of an amplifying glass. "Since I don't need to make a different tattoo's image, I don't need to redesign it to fit the image."

"I will leave everything in your care." Alex nodded.

"Yes." She then brought a bottle of Divine Monster Blood and opened the lid. The blood gradually floated to the air as it slowly filled up the needle in her hand.

"It won't hurt, but please don't move since it's easy to mess up."

"I will go outside then." Alicia thought it was better to leave these two alone since Lilda could concentrate more, and Alex didn't need to see her as it might distract him.

"You sure?" Lilda asked.

"Yes." Alicia put on a gentle smile and left the room.

Meanwhile, Alex nodded his head. "You may start."

Lilda took a few deep breaths and began drawing the symbols. 

Just like Lilda said, he didn't feel pain. In fact, he didn't feel anything as if nothing touched him.

He glanced at Lilda's serious face and decided to close his eyes to avoid distracting her.

One day later, Alex felt power surging into him. The gears that were created finally began working. He felt the connection between him and the array. With only channeling his energy and creating a few more symbols, he could use an array in an instant. This would be the biggest advantage an Array Master could hope for.

"Your Majesty. I have finished." Lilda smiled and stepped back, looking at the tattoo.

Alex gradually opened his eyes and bowed his head to Lilda. "Thank you. How can I repay you?"

"Please don't think about it, Your Majesty. I am the one who can't repay you." She shook her head.

"No, no. Those who work deserve to be rewarded."

"Is that so?" Lilda looked down, falling into deep thought. "I don't know what I actually want. I am just happy to see that Your Majesty is fine."

Alex smiled. "Thank you. You can think of it in the meantime and tell me when you know what you want."

"I understand." Lilda nodded. "For now, I think Your Majesty should try it first."

"Yeah." Alex agreed and rose. He took a few steps back and channeled his Divine Energy to the tattoo. The information about what kind of layers he wanted to use flashed in his mind.

He only needed to direct the Divine Energy to use them. However, he couldn't use all of them since they would clash with each other.

Alex chose the first one, the Teleportation Array. His Holy Emblem appeared behind his back as he tried to draw the remaining symbols.

However, he also found a few problems during the test. First of all, he was required to know which symbols he lacked and where to put them. The Holy Emblem also needed to be adjusted to his position depending on their usage.

The Teleportation Array was usually beneath his feet, so he tried summoning the Holy Emblem again and drew the symbols…Albeit failed once again.

"This is hard."

"Yes. Alicia…I mean, Her Highness Alicia also needed a few months to get used to it."

"Do you have a plan to get yourself tattooed?" Alex asked while receiving the book.

"Not at the moment. No one has enough skill to make this tattoo, so…" She sighed.

"No wonder. But you have a desire, right?" Alex asked.

"Of course I have. This technique will revolutionize the entire job itself."

"In that case, try to find someone and teach him/her to do this. I will give you enough resources to do that." Alex smiled.

"Is that so?" Lilda's expression brightened. "Our budget has increased?"

"Hmm?" Alex tilted his head in confusion.

[They usually drew Array Plates and self-sustained with the money they got from selling the Array Plates. Of course, we have given them a portion of our income, but I think it's not enough.]

'Then how about adding the money I got from Encore? I will probably get more if I go to the Dungeon God's place.'

[Just don't give it too much. They will go crazy. Ten billion Spirit Crystals should be fine.]

Alex nodded and looked at her. "How about ten billion?"

"Are you God?" Lilda quickly hugged him and brushed her cheek against him. "Yes. You are God that was sent here to save this place."

Lilda blinked a few times when she heard the idea.

"This is the biggest method to get money…Well, this is for an emergency, so I will only think about it in the future. For now, keep improving the Holy Emblem and train some people you trust. Okay?" Alex smiled.

"Understood."

"Time to go to Alicia then."
