Chapter 939 - A New Mission

After becoming a Martial Saint in just a few months, her talent was deemed to be one of the strongest in Illevis's eyes. Upon knowing it, she gave her a few million Spirit Crystals, wanting her to take the opportunity to cultivate even faster. 

Aria, of course, had no intention to reject it. She simply received the Spirit Crystals and brought them to Alex. But to her surprise, Alex didn't take even a single Spirit Crystal, letting her use all of the crystals.

Alex was a God Rank Expert, so he needed far more than her. And the fact that he took half of the reward they got from the previous mission made her think he needed money.

Alex only told her that they would split if the money came from their joint efforts. If it were her alone, he wouldn't touch her money. 

Having this agreement, they proceeded in their training, planning to show even more progress, so Illevis would come again and give more resources. 

After another three months, Alex released his strength to 4-Star Martial Saint while Aria had officially become a 2-Star Martial Saint. This progress alone baffled every single elder in the peak. They wanted to visit Aria, but the peak master decided to stop them.

Not long after that, Illevis decided to visit her personally to ensure her foundation. After all, she couldn't afford to see Aria's foundation ruined because she wanted to see her cultivate faster.

When she arrived with Melvie, Alex and Aria received them well. 

Alex sat in front of Melvie while Aria faced Illevis. 

"May I know what Peak Master wants?" Aria asked with a smile, trying to be as warm as possible. 

"I just want to see your condition. But it seems no matter how monstrous progress you have, your cultivation still can't beat…" Illevis stopped talking but staring at Alex.

"Nyx has been helping me this whole time, and he is on a different level from me. Even so, I am still planning to catch up to him." She smiled as if declaring her rivalry. 

"That's good then." Illevis was satisfied with her determination before falling into deep thought. 

"Peak Master. I have a good suggestion." Melvie suddenly opened her mouth. 

"Hmm?"

"Do you know my family?" 

"Of course. I have met them several times."

"Actually, I have a friend in another family. Her family is also an ally of my family for a long time, so I have known her since childhood. Because of the circ.u.mstances, she gave birth a few decades ago."

"Is that child the one you recommended to me last year?"

"Yes." Melvie nodded. "She is a bit over fifty years old, but her strength has reached 1-Star Martial Monarch. Despite having the resources from her family, which was supposed to be a merchant family, her talent was still top-notch."

"What are you suggesting?" Illevis stopped her, not wanting to prolong her business with Aria and Alex for another few hours just to listen to her story.

"From what I have heard, her child wants to take a test to increase her power even further by accepting the power of their ancestor. Unfortunately, the place is a bit dangerous. It's a kind of a place like Blood Island's Inner Island. So, I am wondering if I can have both of them escort them. Not only can they get a good amount of resources from my friend's family, but I can encourage the talented kid to join this sect." Melvie smiled. 

Illevis blinked her eyes a few times before falling into deep thought. "This is interesting. First of all, why did your friend's family have such a weird place for the inheritance?" 

"No, no. This is inside a Special Realm."

"I see. Do you want them to go to protect that kid and inspire her if possible?" 

"Yes. That's the gist of my plan. And I believe my friend doesn't have any problem with this."

Illevis stroke her chin a few times and looked at Aria. "What do you think?"

"I think it's good. It's true that we can increase our cultivation faster than anyone else, but if we don't balance it with fighting experiences and other things, we won't be able to become an expert." Aria accepted it according to Alex's instruction. 

"True enough. You will also get a good reward if the request comes from a merchant family." Illevis then glanced at Melvie. "But do they want to have her escorted by us?"

"Of course. She is currently asking me to put on a request on her behalf. The task is for people in 1-Star to 5-Star Martial Saint." Melvie nodded. 

"What kind of challenge will they have in this mission?" 

"Well, they will have a problem with monsters, but there is a chance that other families want to take it as well. Using the blood of my friend's daughter, they can open the inheritance for themselves. Unfortunately, her parents and other things are busy handling all those families, leaving one influence that might appear in the mission."

"Who are they?" Aria was the one who asked, showing she had an interest in this mission. 

"They are bandits. It's a famous gang called Divine Tiger Gang. They have been terrorizing so many people. Their leader is a 5-Star Martial Saint, so there is a chance that they will be coming for you. But I think it won't be a problem, right?" Melvie stared at Alex intensely. 

With how abnormal Aria's fighting power is, Alex shouldn't be that far from her. In other words, there would be a huge chance that Alex could fight the leader alone. It would be best if he and Aria could fight together, but there shouldn't be a need for that. 

Alex took a few seconds to answer. "Yes."

"That's great." Melvie smiled before looking at the peak master, asking for permission.

"I personally don't have any problems with such a mission as long as they agree with the mission. Besides, for a bandit at that size, we need escorts from their family too because I don't know if these two can fight the whole group with just two of them. After all, the opponents are not monsters that are easy to kill." 

"Don't worry. I have given the statement that she will need to bring at least twenty Martial Saint with her to avoid being surrounded by the group. With her character, she will at least prepare thirty Martial Saints and seventy Martial Monarchs. It will be a huge convoy." 

"I see. The whole convoy is to ensure that this child can go to the inheritance place while these two will focus on her well-being." Illevis understood her plan and nodded in agreement. 

"Yes. The payment is four million Spirit Crystals for a mission that only needs around a week or so. What do you think?"

Aria and Alex exchanged looks before nodding their heads. 

"We accept." Aria smiled before asking. "By the way, is there any other person joining us?"

"Nope. This is only for you. I want to have another person, but he is currently on a mission, so I can't really recall him back." She shook her head. 

"In that case, we don't have any problem."

"Good. You can head to the family tomorrow. It will take you three days from here, and the place is around four to five days of flying. It's not really a secret place, but just make sure you are not bringing trouble upon yourself."

"Yes." Aria nodded.

"This is my token and my letter. You can give this to her, and she will accept you." Melvie handed a wooden token and a white letter as if she had predicted that Aria and Alex would accept this.

"I understand. May I know the information about the family first?"

She snapped her finger as a few papers appeared on her hand and gave it to them. 

Alex took it before passing it to Aria.

"I will learn the information today and head over there tomorrow."

"Sure." Melvie nodded. 

"Since you have accepted this mission, give this to her if you think the kid is a talented person." Illevis didn't forget to give them her recommendation letter for this young kid. 

She doubted Aria's eyes for talent, but Alex seemed to be a real deal. After all, he wouldn't be with her except he found her talented. So, he let them choose whether this child was worth it or not. Either way, it wouldn't shake the fact that these two were more talented than her.

After finishing their business, Illevis and Melvie left the house. 

"Peak Master. Do you think they will do well?" She asked.

"You were so confident earlier, now you are worried?" Illevis glanced at her with a slight smile. 

"As far as ability is concerned, I don't have a single doubt they will finish this mission. However, I don't know if they will serve as a good motivation to the little girl that I have considered as my little nephew." She let out a long sigh. "You know…They act a bit too mysterious, making it hard to approach them."

"I can understand you. I do feel them that way, but at least I know Cypress Family. As long as the guy is attached to the girl, it lightens my stress a bit. For now, we will see whether they will bring a positive influence or their light will cast a shadow in many people's hearts."

"I see. This sect has fierce competition. Even I need to gamble with my own lives to reach this point. If these two existences can shake their hearts, they are not qualified to take the top spots." She smiled.

"That's all about it. For now, we will wait and see. After all, it's not even a year since the first day they came."

"True enough. But those two have become much stronger. I wonder what will happen in a decade."

The peak master only shrugged and returned to the mansion. 

Meanwhile, Aria gave the rundown about the information. 

"The requester this time is Alcea Luezar from Luezar Family. The mission is to protect her daughter, Nella Luezar. The strongest person is their grandfather, a Rank 5 God. However, he can't really make a move because he is suppressing many influences right now to prevent them from getting the inheritance.

"Due to that, the family only set low-level people so they won't be too noticeable, making it hard to find them missing inside their mansion. That's why the mission is only for 1-Star to 5-Star. The big threats in this mission should only be the bandits or powerful monsters. 

"I see. It's hard to stop a few influences at once, so I believe they can't really spend so much on this mission even though this is very important. Probably they can spend one or two powerful Martial Saints, but I doubt there will be more. And in this information, it's briefly explained that we can't get anything about the inheritance." She briefly explained the information while reading the rest. 

"We don't need the inheritance for now. Having too much is not that good, so it won't matter. The problem will be how long…" Alex thought for a moment. "And the enemies." 

"There is a bandit group in the area that is rumored to be under one of their enemy's influence. They have three hundred people among themselves, and I think there might be people from the family that is controlling the bandits. I don't know their strength." 

Alex fell silent before smiling. "You have gotten better at analyzing things." 

"Thank you. It's all thanks to you teaching me."

"For now, there is nothing we can do other than preparing. Do you know the path?"

"Only the destination. We can come up with the path, I think. Even if they have an original path, we can just lie and tell them we saw a bandit around that area." She shrugged.

"It's not that easy, but if the letter can give us the power to negotiate, it will be good. So, here is the plan…" Alex smiled and started explaining.
