832 Divine Tribulation Part 1

"!!!" Alex stepped forward, summoned the two dragons and controlled them to cover him with their body.

The water needles only hit the dragons to find themselves becoming vapor because of the Pure Fire coating the dragon.

At the same time, Alex activated his Spirit Eyes and looked at his current condition, wondering what would be the restriction of this Divine Tribulation.

"For the time being, I am sure that escaping to the Space World is not a thing. At the same time, it's impossible to direct any attacks with my Spatial Gates. Still, I can use my other Space Elements ability, except the Spatial Gate and Space Mark.

"I will focus on my main weapons then. Meanwhile, I should see what kind of problem I am facing currently…" Alex thought for a moment and nodded. "It seems the first stage is related to the water element. In that case, I shall be careful… Seriously?"

When he was about to look around the lake because he was afraid there was another thing coming toward him. And it was big… very big.

He almost forgot the fact that this was a small island. The moment he stepped upon this island, he could already smell the scent of salt coming into his nose, so he knew he was near the sea. On the other hand, he found nothing around this island, except the fact that this weird landscape could be changed if needed.

Hence, the moment he saw a huge wave coming toward the coast, he was utterly shocked.

"Seriously? Fifty percent of the lake's water has been vaporized due to the last attack, and they are going to fight me with a bigger wave? And I bet that huge tsunami will replenish the water in the lake before attacking me again. Hence, I need a solution." Alex thought for a moment and sighed.

"I can't destroy it with my power if I want to conserve my energy, so I should be fine if I fly and let the wave pass." Alex nodded and looked up, finding nothing that would stop him from going upward.

He leaped to the air, floating at the height that the wave could never reach and trained himself.

The tsunami seemed to be coming from his right alone as it swept the entire island just like that. While he was at it, he took another glance at the island and the horizon. Although it was nothing special, the lake had been refilled because of that tsunami.

He saw the water turned into needles again, aiming at him. At the same time, he found another wave building up on the horizon.

"If my prediction is correct, the Potential Tower seems to have understood the meaning behind the tribulation. That's why I need to do something against this water. The problem will be, how?" Alex fell into silence as he thought something ridiculous. "I wonder if I can just evaporate all the water here?"

"Nonetheless, if it doesn't work, I can search for another solution." Alex pointed his palm toward the lake as the two dragons entered the lake, draining it like crazy. At the same time, he summoned many firebirds that would help him to clean the entire spot.

The dragons drained the water as if it was the hole inside a bathtub. Alex consumed a bit of his power, but it wouldn't lead to a problem for him.

"Two minutes before the tsunami refills the water, so I can't fail." Alex gritted his teeth before he started seeing the water level go down.

The moment he could see the bottom of the lake, he immediately sent thousands of his Firebirds toward the lake, covering the whole lake with explosions.

And the purpose was to speed up the process of drying the lake and ensure everything is drained.

*Rumble!*

Suddenly, another rumbling sound echoed in his ears as he turned to the sea. The Tsunami lost its power to continue and got destroyed, becoming a normal wave that wouldn't reach this island.

He narrowed his eyes and nodded. "It seems my speculation was right. With this, the first stage should have been cleared."

*Rumble Rumble*

And yet, the moment he tried to relax, he heard another rumbling sound. He looked around the island, only to find nothing.

*Bam!*

A loud sound of an explosion echoed across the island and alarmed Alex. He looked down and found the bottom of the lake crumbled. Whether it was due to his explosions or the world, he immediately searched if that would result in anything with his Spirit Eyes.

Burning red-colored energy was leaking through the ground and burst out.

"!!!" Alex immediately leaped to another side. He looked to the side and found magma beside him. "That was close. Although magma can't hurt me, there might be something inside there that can ruin everything for me."

Alex furrowed his eyebrows and searched through the magma, wondering if there was a solution for this.

"What should I do?" Alex couldn't see anything that might be the source of trouble.

At the same time, sulfuric gas started filling his lung as he immediately blocked it by surrounding himself with a barrier.

"What did I do in the Potential Tower…" Alex tried to recall the scene, but he was already greeted by the fire coming from the burning magma. The fire turned into serpents surrounding him. Even though Alex could suppress the snake a little bit, it would require a huge amount of Spiritual Energy. Hence, he leaped around to see whether there was some useful information in his head.

Meanwhile, the serpents were trying to bite him. They couldn't injure him with fire alone, so the world wanted to destroy him by shredding him into pieces.

Alex didn't pay attention to this and checked his surroundings instead. The test might be the same as the Water Stage. It was something that could be easily found, and it was powerful. "There is nothing under the magma. In fact, the magma looks like it is artificially created because I can see the ground under the magma.

"Do I need to jump inside the lava?" Alex tilted his head. Even he found this trial ridiculous, but Alex didn't hesitate. He jumped inside the lava and activated his Pure Fire. This kind of degree of heat wouldn't harm him anyway.

"If the serpents return to the magma, they will be assimilated, so I should be fine inside the magma," Alex muttered while using his Spirit Eyes to see the condition on the surface. As he predicted, the serpents melted, and its energy vanished as if there was nothing since the beginning.

Coming to the conclusion that the key to solving the second stage was inside the magma, he tried to reach the deepest part, only to find the bottom was only a few meters below the lake's bottom.

He thought it would be like a mountain that had thousands of meters deep hole, but Alex noticed it wasn't the case to the point he found it very fishy.

"This magma should have a connection somewhere unless it's artificially created. If that is the case, I need to find the one that produces this magma." Alex nodded and walked around the magma. "How I wish I can use my Spatial Gate here to drain all this magma away."

Alex sighed and kept walking inside the magma. As soon as he came inside the it, nothing happened anymore, so he could leisurely walk around without bothering to watch out.

"Lightning Tribulation is easier than this since I only need to destroy the lightning." Alex sighed. "What if I can blast this magma away and spread it around the island? If it's reproduced, it is not the answer then. If not, I might be able to beat this stage."

Alex nodded and thought for the perfect ability to solve the issue.

As much as he wanted to use his Hell Inferno, the technique used too much power. And this was still the second stage. There was no way he would risk it from the get-go, especially with the fact that he would die if he failed here.

"Which skill can cause a huge explosion to blast all this magma away?" Alex thought for a moment and found a perfect one.

He raised his hand and started creating symbols after symbols on his Space Plate, releasing it as soon as it was completed.

"Saint Explosion Array!"

*Boom!*

That array appeared near him and blasted all the magma away for a split second. However, it didn't create a tall flame pillar this time because the magma contained its power. Yet, it was enough for Alex to understand the source of the problem.

There was a palm-sized red crystal on the ground. He didn't see it when the water dried, so it must be related to his current predicament.

"That stone… The energy is camouflage within the magma, so I won't be able to see it this whole time. At the same time, it's hard to see inside the magma because everything is red. I have stumbled upon many rocks when walking blindly around this area, so I might have stepped on these crystals without noticing it."

Alex said crystals because he believed more was planted on the ground, so he didn't wait and created an array that could blast half of the lake.

To ensure that he didn't use all of his strength, he toned the explosion down.

"It is enough to lift it up one or two meters because I can scan and roughly remember the positions. I only need to use my domain to double-check later. In the worst case, I can ask the system to make a copy of their position." Alex shrugged and activated the array.

*Boom!*

Another explosion occurred, and he could see the ground filled with air but surrounded by magma for a second before the magma closed it again.

"There are two more." Alex furrowed his eyebrows and muttered to himself. "Is this the one responsible for the serpents? There were six serpents if I am not wrong…"

"With these three, I will beat the trial as soon as I find the other three." Alex nodded with determination as he immediately moved and took the jades.

After getting the two crystals, Alex did the same to the other side and collected the other three crystals.

As if it was responding to Alex, the magma slowly disappeared along with the stones in his hand. Alex took a deep breath and prepared himself by looking down for a few seconds.

And yet, the ground turned out to be the most shocking thing he got today as a spike rose from the ground, trying to impale Alex's head.

"!!!"
