Chapter 766 - Starting the Fusion

In the middle of the room, Alex sat on the floor while reading a scroll. Jeanne was playing around while watching Alex's movement to make sure she could fulfill his every need. However, he had begun his study a few hours ago and remained in that position ever since.

Jeanne didn't think it hard. Since that technique was something that could control a rank 9 array, it was normal for him to take that long. In fact, it would already be abnormal if he could master it. As expected from Master, she thought.

'This voice…' Alex seemed to have figured this voice out and rose from the floor. He pushed open the door, found a lady in front of him, and thought. 'As expected, it's Davi's daughter, Rena.'

"Is it time already?" Alex asked gently.

"Yes. My father has prepared everything in the hall. I shall guide you there." Rena nodded and acted politely to him. She seemed to have a lengthy talk with her father last night since the change was too extreme.

Alex thought for a moment and glanced at Jeanne, asking her to do her part as well.

"Master… Are you leaving now? Do I need to call Elder Viola?" She asked, slowly making her way toward Alex.

"No. I can handle this."

"Can you bring me then? Don't worry. Jeanne will behave." Jeanne asked Alex with very innocent eyes as if she had nothing to hide.

Alex looked up like he was pondering over something and nodded with a smile. "Alright. Let's go together."

"Un!" Jeanne nodded and smiled from ear to ear.

With this, Rena must think Elder Viola still stayed inside. Although there was already a drastic change to how Davi acted toward him, he still needed to be careful, thus the assurance.

"Please." Alex looked at Rena and stretched his hand, asking her to guide him. At the same time, he thought, 'After this, as long as I return without informing them they will think I have superb skills, or Aileen might have taken me away from them, instilling fear in their heart because there wouldn't be any safer places for them to hide since I can go back and forth without anyone noticing.'

Rena nodded, turned around, and began to walk. "Please follow me."

The two then followed her, walking across many corridors until they found a huge and thick wooden door.

Alex furrowed his eyebrows after noticing a few energy signs. 'Hmm? Seven Martial Saints? Still, there is only a single high-ranking Martial Saint here with the others being less than 6-Star Martial Saints."

Rena pushed open the door with her strength and asked Alex to come in.

Alex then entered the hall and furrowed his eyebrows. The hall itself didn't have anything grandeur. The floor was made of stone. The pillar had a blue color but looked a bit brittle. The ceiling might be the grandest one here since it had a huge dragon statue hanging.

Rena then clasped her hands and went back to her father.

Alex scanned the people around and found out that other than the five rank 8 Array Masters, there were only Davi and his son. If he counted his daughter in, there were only eight people from their side.

Rena whispered something to Davi before he nodded and asked her to step back.

"Welcome. This is the hall where the ancestors often cultivated. Although it has been repaired and maintained well, I am sorry for the old display. I thought since we are going to watch the ancestors' technique, we need to hold it in this place," Davi stood up and stated.

Alex looked at the chair that Davi sat on a moment ago and didn't find anything extraordinary. The same applied to the others. They were standing on the side, waiting for Alex to come.

The third reason was his family condition. Not only would the elders be convinced by the fact that they were the ones that deserved such a thing the most, but he could also investigate any trace of a betrayer since they wouldn't lay low if they knew about this matter.

He then finally risked it and chose both his children to do it.

Alex looked at Rena and Rio to see whether they were ready to do this or not. To his surprise, both of them had a serious expression as if they were ready even if they met their doom today.

"The process might be a little hurt, so I hope you can withstand the pain," Alex warned for one last time.

"Don't worry. They have been training this whole time. A little pain won't be much of a problem for them." Davi answered with confidence.

Rio nodded in agreement while Rena said, "We thank you for your concern, Sir Alexander. However, we ask you to believe in us as well. We won't have a problem with enduring pain."

Alex stared at their faces for a few seconds and nodded. "Alright."

"What do we need to do?" Rena asked.

"Strip!"

"…" Rio immediately looked at Rena and worried about her, but Rena made a swift decision and started undressing. She then looked at Rio, confused why he hadn't removed his clothes yet. "It's obvious he asks this to move the energy in a more efficient way. Do I need to scream just because I'm showing some skin? I might die if someone wants to assassinate me when washing myself."

"I understand." Rio nodded, took a glance at Alex's expression and stripped his clothes.

Davi had the same opinion as Rena the moment he heard Alex's request. In fact, he was a bit supportive about this, since Alex might take fancy of her body, and they could deepen their relationship after that.

Unfortunately, the only thing that flashed in Alex's mind was, 'This girl seems to have been trained well. She could stay decisive even after that.'

"That's enough." Alex stopped them after the two removed their top. He then looked at the rank 8 Array Masters and found three old men and two old women. "Five of you can also come here to observe more closely. As long as you are fifty meters away, it won't be a problem."

The Array Masters looked at each other and nodded, following Alex's instruction by leaping toward him and stopping fifty meters away. With this distance, they could learn the technique more accurately.

Davi then raised his hand and asked Alex if he could go there as well. Alex nodded, and Davi immediately appeared in the midst of the Array Masters.

Jeanne tugged Alex's hand before leaving the Array Plates again. She watched the Array Masters, making sure they wouldn't do anything to him in this process.

As for Rio and Rena, Rio was showing his six packs body and faced Alex with a serious expression while Rena concealed her b.r.e.a.s.ts with her hand. Her expression was calm even though she was hiding her embarrassment. It was the first time she showed some skin like this. Luckily, there seemed to be no vulgar intention behind Alex's stare, making her feel relieved.

Alex then pointed his fingers to the left and right as he said, "In the center of the Array Plate, you should be able to find a circle symbol with a crescent moon inside. Sit inside the circle with a lotus position. So, I can start."

Rio walked carefully to make sure he didn't fold the Array Plate because of his recklessness and caused him something he would regret. He arrived at the circle and stood for a few seconds before finally sitting down according to Alex's instruction.

Rena, on the other hand, became even more embarrassed. Although it wasn't intentional, she got the position closer to the elders and her father. This made her feel even more awkward. The only thing she could do was walking slowly under their stares before Alex voiced his concern.

"All of you can watch from behind. This process needs a calm heart. If you are staring at her like that, it will simply make her uncomfortable. Of course, you can't watch it from the front as well. If you want, you can go to the other side and watch the male more closely or both of them from behind. Your choice." Alex warned them.

Rena had a mixed feeling inside. She felt great to hear Alex voicing out her concern, but at the same time, she knew there wasn't a single trace of feeling when he said those words. It seemed her body wasn't attractive enough for Alex to even put a shred of feeling in his heart.

'With that woman as his wife, I guess this is natural.' Rena thought after recalling Firia. She glanced to the side and found all people had moved to the back. Taking a deep breath and calming her mind, she sat down inside the circle and waited for Alex's next instruction.

Alex checked both of their conditions first, including their Spiritual Energy with his Spirit Eyes. Their energy didn't waver, so it was perfect to start the fusion now.

"Try to set your mind like when you cultivate. Go as deep as possible." Alex instructed.

Rio and Rena nodded and followed Alex's words. It was a bit hard to enter the deepest cultivation state with so many people watching, but their current state wasn't that far from it.

Rio had the most advantage in this situation because he wasn't embarrassed by his current clothing. On the other hand, Rena seemed to be lacking compared to Rio. Well, Alex couldn't help it since the situation would even be more awkward if he did it alone with her. Rio and Rena then released their Spiritual Energy as a signal to start the fusion.

Alex took a deep breath and released his Spiritual Energy too. He took out the token and activated it.
