Chapter 740 - The Leader of Dark Elves

A few minutes later, Alex and Nelson sliced the throat of two Dark Elves simultaneously.

"We have killed ten of them within these few minutes." Nelson furrowed his eyebrows, checking the presence around them.

"Their number is still a problem… You said that the enemy leader seems to have intelligent, right Nelson?" Alex asked, looking around as well with his Spirit Eyes.

"Yes. I have checked her behavior and other things. She is far different than the others." Nelson nodded without hesitation.

"In that case, we might fight an organized battle against this Dark Elves." Alex frowned, thinking of a plan to fight them later.

"Still, we should have two people fight against this person while the others hold the rest," Nelson suggested.

"No. It will be three people: You, me, and Leoz. We will utilize Anya's support, Greg's barrier, Jeanne's powerful ability, and Anna's butterflies. I am sure we are capable of stopping two hundred of them, especially since you are still able to maintain your True Spirit Body." Alex nodded.

"I am afraid it won't last for another hour." Nelson's face was distorted.

"It's enough if everything goes according to the plan. They are Dark Elves that specialize in the assassination, dark element, and archery. I have seen plenty of their strategy, and I am sure the strategy in my mind is enough to end the battle quickly. They are not that strong to begin with." His voice was filled with confidence. Alex didn't think he would fail in this place because another thirty-two more Spatial Gates are awaiting him.

"I understand. I will trust Master's judgment. Let's kill a few—!" A sudden roar stopped Nelson from talking. Their eyes intertwined and nodded, peeking outside the house.

A Dark Elf suddenly came out of her house, looking at the kneeling elf in front of her. She looked majestic and scary at the same time. There was no difference from the others, such as her white hair, developed body, smooth purple skin, and so on. However, Alex saw that her eyes were completely white, and there was a spark of purple energy hiding in her eyes.

Alex frowned and scanned her body with his Spirit Eyes and didn't see anything, including her eyes. There was nothing wrong with her, creating confusion in Alex's mind.

"This is not possible. Her eyes are different than those of normal Elves. There is a chance of her having another energy inside…Looking at the color of her energy, she should have Lightning Element. I will watch out for this one first while trying to figure out those eyes. Wait… Don't tell me that the eyes are actually a Martial Art or something?" Alex fell into deep thought before they heard another roar from that elf.

"Master!" Nelson appeared in front of Alex and slashed his sword forward, deflecting a beam of lightning from below.

Without releasing his Spiritual Energy, his Spiritual Weapon had already released a barrier to protect him from the lightning.

"We have been found out." Alex clicked his tongue and looked at the leader with his Spirit Eyes. "I see. It's the latter. Those eyes are coming from a Martial Art or something. To think that they could also do use a Martial Art… I thought they could only use element manipulation."

"Master!"

"I know. Let's retreat." Alex took another glance and noticed someone in front of the queen. 'It seems she knows about us from the kneeling guy.'

The Dark Elf released another roar as they started chasing Alex and Nelson.

"Sherry. Control my fire and create a diversion. Make sure you slow some of them down so we can ambush those in front." Alex instructed while running.

Sherry answered him with her actions as thirty swords appeared above him. Alex immediately coated them with his Absolute Blade Intent as Sherry sent them toward the Dark Elves.

*Roar!*

Another roar echoed through the forest as the Dark Elves picked up their bow and released their arrows at the same time. The targets were the Fire Swords.

"Tch." Alex clicked his tongue. "This might be more troublesome than I imagined."

Alex could only complain and keep running while trying to distract them.

Luckily, the Dark Elves seemed to not have that much advantage with Nelson and Alex. No matter how they tried to ambush them by attacking them from different angles, the two acted as if they knew they were coming.

After running for another minute, they arrived at the grass plain nearby. However, Alex still kept the pace to make sure they didn't have an opportunity to return and hide behind those trees.

"!!!" The leader seemed to notice a nearby presence. She roared once again, and the Dark Elves halted their advance before going into circles and looking at their surroundings.

"As expected." Alex let out a long sigh before summoning another thirty Fire Swords, albeit it got struck by another volley of arrows before the swords could reach them.

"We can't slack off…" Alex took a deep breath and sent six Sword Waves at the same time. "Mythical Fire Slash!"

Those six emerged from the smoke and cut some people that tried to block it. At this time, Anna and the others showed up. As they appeared, the Dark Elves took another step further and released their arrows as if they knew their location.

"Sherry, Stina, Kyle, come out. Take care of those arrows. The others can start killing the rest while Nelson and Leoz will follow me to handle that leader." Alex shouted.

The group immediately dispersed as the trio beasts didn't use their full strength. Instead, they used something like their firebirds to knock all those arrows.

Anna and the others used this opportunity to launch their attacks.

Alex then appeared right in front of the leader by using his Space Mark and waved his sword.

"Spirit Step and Dragon Aura!" With the two techniques, his strength was capable of rivaling 3-Star Martial Saint. For 2-Star Martial Saint like her, it should be enough.

The leader gritted her teeth and blocked the attack with her bow, albeit got blown away by his strength. Unexpectedly, she wasn't also a pushover. The moment they got a little distance, she activated her eyes again, shooting a powerful lightning beam toward Alex.

"…" Alex looked at them without a change of expression because his Spiritual Weapons released another shield. He could use this shield six times, so he didn't need to worry about this and kept advancing. At the same time, Nelson and Leoz appeared next to her.

The two attacked her from two different directions, forcing her to block one of the attacks and let the other one hit.

*Roar!* She roared again as her lightning started shining in blue. She raised her hand and blocked Nelson's attack with her bow before glaring at Leoz and shooting another beam attack.

Leoz slightly widened his eyes, never expecting to get this kind of counter-attack. Even more so when she attacked him instead of the sword. In other words, she didn't need to handle Leoz's 5-Star Martial Saint strength because she had blown him away.

Alex took this chance to attack her again by using his strength.

"Heaven Light Slash."

Coupled with Triple Draws, Alex should pose a problem even for her, albeit the Dark Elf suddenly raised her left hand and formed an arrow. Using her arrow and bow, she tried to block all Alex's attack before retreating again.

Alex didn't let her escape and used Space Plate to stop her movement. Unlike the invisible Space Plates, these Space Plates appeared with their physical form. After all, they were inside the Space World.

Noticing this technique, the leader wanted to turn around, but Alex kept her with his Space Bind. Those few white wh.i.p.s appeared from his Space Plates and locked her in place for a second.

Leoz used this chance to attack her from the front. "Master. This woman is dangerous. Just now, she released an attack equal to 4-Star Martial Saint. Let me be the main attack. She got a better of me earlier, but not this time."

As he said so, Leoz tried to kill her with a single swing, but the leader immediately freed herself by cutting Alex's Space Bind with her arrow. She used her bow to block Leoz's slash and somehow shifted her stance to allow her to use the momentum.

However, neither Leoz nor Alex panicked because of this. Instead, Leoz made a complete swing, sending her flying as fast as possible.

"It's your turn." Leoz smirked.

"Hmph." Nelson had been standing by for this and appeared to kill this elf. Leoz said all those words just to mislead her because all three of them were the main attack. If they failed, they would immediately become the decoy. This would keep repeating until the enemy died.

Alex thought of this strategy for the whole group, but three of them were enough to execute it. He smiled as well and thought Nelson must get her in that position and speed.

Nelson slashed his sword forward before widening his eyes. The Dark Elf couldn't dodge the attack, but it didn't mean she couldn't do anything. Her left hand that was holding an arrow suddenly threw the arrow covered with lightning as if a bow released it. The attack was fast and deadly, heading toward Nelson's head.

"!!!" Nelson clicked his tongue and shifted his head a little bit. Even so, he still finished his swing. "Shadow Slash!"

Unfortunately, the direction was off because of the earlier arrow but still sliced her left hand.

The Dark Elf gritted her teeth and summoned an arrow with her mouth, holding it with her teeth as she drew the arrow. It was a ridiculous form, but all of them knew she would shoot another powerful arrow.

Alex didn't want to let this happen as he leaped toward her and used his Triple Draws again.

The Dark Elf only smirked and released another lightning strike again instead of her arrow.

Alex didn't flinch even at this situation and released his shield again to block everything from her.

*Boom!*

"To think I need to use the shield multiple times just to fight a single opponent… As expected of a Space Monster I guess. Despite having 2-Star Martial Saint strength, she could go toe to toe with Leoz." Alex exclaimed. Unbeknownst to him, a little smile appeared on his face.

"She can't handle me." Leoz corrected Alex and charged at the woman again to prove it.

Having no chance to dodge it, she parried Leoz's barrage of attacks with her bow, resulting in her hand covered with blood. The wounds were pretty deep, and Leoz was sure that she couldn't draw her arrow again.

Without anyone knowing it, a gate appeared behind her as a Sword Wave flew out of the gate, slashing her right arm. Leoz looked to the left and saw Alex summoning his Spatial Gate. Using this as another diversion, Leoz leaped toward the girl and planned to finish her with a single slash, albeit the girl's eyes shone.

"Heh… I know you will do that." Leoz smirked.

Unexpectedly, Leoz stopped from his full speed and raised his hand as he summoned a few lightning balls, restricting her movement. At the same time, Alex also summoned her Space Bind to stop her movement.

*Roar!* The Dark Elf roared again, creating a noise so that her subordinates could hear her. Without both of her hands, she couldn't block these three anymore and would only lead her to death. That was why it was better to create a diversion herself.

And she succeeded. A few people immediately turned around and shot an arrow toward Leoz and Alex, disregarding their lives because Anna appeared right after they shot and sent their heads flying.

Greg appeared at this moment and created a barrier between them, stopping each arrow.

Nelson also moved from behind and pierced her heart. He let out a sigh. "That's enough. You should die now and don't embarrass us even further."
