Chapter 665 - Another Space Element?

"Expand!"

Alex looked at the white barrier plugging the hole and nodded his head. "Everyone already knows about your own position, right?" 

"Yes. Nelson has told us the path." Firia nodded. 

"Good. Disperse!" Alex commanded, and the group finally disappeared from their position. He then glanced at Anna. "Let's go."

Anna nodded, and both of them disappeared.

After a few minutes of going, Alex fought many monsters together with Anna before reaching the spot. Luckily, they didn't swarm them at the same time due to the tunnel size. 

Alex observed their position and noticed they were at the lowest level of the cave, considering he could see many tunnels lead to the upper level in which one of them was the tunnel he came from.

"I'm afraid there might be monsters when I start draining… Will that be alright, Anna?" Alex asked. 

"Don't worry. Leave it to me." Anna nodded. "I will make sure no one passes me."

"I will try to help you later with my sword. I might even increase the range of my fire sphere if we meet a strong fish to make sure we are not fighting it inside the water." Alex said with a grim expression as he looked around with his Spirit Eyes, finding many monsters.

"Sure. My Tri Xeta can be useful in this situation."

"Good. I shall start then!" Alex exclaimed as he released his Pure Fire and created a sphere three meters in radius. This scorching sphere instantly turned water into vapor at an alarming rate. 

"Kh!" Alex was gritting his teeth, feeling no better. The speed was indeed quite good, but his Spiritual Energy had it rough.

"Are you alright? How about shrinking the size a little?" Anna asked.

"No. It's good this way. My Spiritual Energy might be used up after two hours, but I can replenish them within another two hours by using a Gathering Array. In those two hours, your job is to protect me. Can you do it?"

"I believe you should make it to one hour and leave fifty percent of your power for safety reasons."

"I know. I have learned my lesson already. I only say the rate of my Spiritual Energy." Alex chuckled. "I won't repeat the same mistake."

"It's good then." Anna nodded and stared at him for a few seconds. "Al… No, Husband. I'm sorry for that time."

"I have said it's fine." Alex shook his head, telling her he didn't mind. 

"I should apologize properly because I was consumed by sadness. I'm really sorry."

"Fine. I accept your apology. Then there is no need to think about this matter anymore." Alex smiled.

"Yes." Anna nodded before raising her scythe and observing her surroundings.

"You don't need to be this concerned. They shouldn't come for a while because the water will start dropping from the highest level due to gravity. This rate is quite fast, so there might be some current for the monsters, but they shouldn't migrate easily without no apparent reason, including this current. In other words, we can relax for a while until the water level drops to half…"

"It's fine. I have nothing to do anyway." Anna smiled.

Alex nodded and proceeded with the plan. 

Surprisingly, there were a few monsters coming their way, but Anna stopped them all. Alex didn't even need to do anything since the monsters were mostly Martial Emperors and some Martial Monarchs. 

The first hour went without a problem, and Alex had drained quite a bit… Or at least that was what he thought.

Suddenly, Anna and Alex sensed a powerful presence coming toward them. But what shocked them the most was when the presence revealed itself, showing a man figure.

"There is a human here?" Anna exclaimed. 

On the other hand, Alex opened his eyes and appeared beside Anna, furrowing his eyebrows. "Who are you?"

'A woman? She is so beautiful. That male is also handsome. Who are they?' The man raised his weapon. Although he wanted to attack them first, he was stopped by their appearance. He managed to calm down while distracting himself from beauty. "Who are you two, and what are you doing here?"

A bit deeper inside the cave was a spacious room without single water. Two people, man and woman, stood by in front of a huge array as if they were there to protect it. Even the room was protected by a barrier array to prevent the water from coming in. 

The male noticed this when he looked outside, finding the water was decreasing. 

"This shouldn't be possible!" He exclaimed and pointed his finger at the entrance.

The woman furrowed her eyebrows and observed the sudden change. "What should we do?"

"This never happened before… Should we investigate it or report back to the elder?" The man thought for a moment and said. "You go report to the elder while I investigate this sudden phenomenon."

"Alright." The woman nodded and activated the array that turned out to be a Teleportation Array.

The man also took out the token and presented it in front of the barrier, allowing him to go through this barrier. He took the last glimpse of the barrier and only found a dark cave without nothing inside. 

Nelson already found this barrier, but he would never think this was only an illusion. The room was also in the deepest part of this cave, so Alex's Spirit Eyes couldn't spot this place because of the distance.

After checking everything, he followed the current to see what could cause such an occurrence. 

Suddenly, the current stopped, and he could only follow what he could remember before eventually arriving at a certain place where he found two people.

One was a black-haired otherworld beauty while the other one was a handsome golden-haired guy. He heard them saying two lines, but his mind was still full of shock. He raised his weapons and shouted. "Who are you two, and what are you doing here?"

Alex looked at this brown-haired man that looked very thin. However, Alex could see behind his sword was a powerful Space Element. This might be the first time he saw someone who had Space Element alive. However, he could see this person only had 7-Star Martial Monarch strength.

"Who are you?" Alex raised his voice again.

"No. You should introduce yourself first!" The man released his Spiritual Energy.

Anna also released her Spiritual Energy while raising her scythe. Alex stopped her from making an attack and said. "I'm Alexander. My purpose here is only to explore the cave that seems to be filled with treasures."

"So, you are from the surface!" The man gritted his teeth in anger before taking a deep breath. "Then, what do you want to do with this? Depending on your answer, I will kill you!"

"That is not a nice word to be said…" Alex furrowed his eyebrows and released his Spiritual Energy as well. "I have introduced myself. Wouldn't it be fair for you to introduce yourself too?"

"I have nothing to say to you. Since you have entered this cave and created such a disturbance, then don't think about coming back alive!" The man turned hostile as he raised his other hand and spread around his Spiritual Energy. 

Alex could see the difference in this Spiritual Energy before finding they had been enveloped by Space Element… the whole room, to be exact. 

"Spatial Lock!" 

"Alex…" Anna glanced at him, wondering what they should do. "Should we kill him? Although it's really surprising to see a Space Element user, I still find something strange about his appearance."

"I don't wish to fight if possible…" Alex thought for a moment and said.

The man could hear it as well, but he snarled. "Hmph. All those people from Surface can't be trusted!" 

"Then, so be it!" Alex decided to kill this person first before investigating his origin. Or he could bring him to Jeanne to extract information from him.

"Dark Cut!" Anna decided to make the first move.

The dark wave flew toward the man, but he simply waved his hand, creating a portal to the blue layered realm. It sucked Anna's Dark Cut and the water.

Alex suddenly realized he could send all the water here inside this realm instead of drying it up. Nonetheless, Alex appeared behind Anna and swung his sword as the portal appeared behind her together with her Dark Cut.

*Bam!*

"What?!" The man was surprised that Alex could react to something like this first time as if he knew his Space Element the whole time. 

'Should I use my Space Element instead of my Pure Fire?' Alex contemplated before thrusting his spear. "Mythical Spear Cannon!" 

He shot out a powerful laser with his spear. But another portal appeared in front of the man, and Alex could see the Space Energy moving behind him. 

Alex smiled as Anna already disappeared from her spot. It was a simple bait for Anna to go around and struck him from the back.

At the same time, Alex jumped to the side without looking back as if he knew there was an attack behind him. 

Anna activated her Tri Xeta, trying to lower his power.

Unexpectedly, her scythe stopped mid-air as if there was an invisible wall behind his head. 

"Wait!" Alex also realized that his attack was actually aimed at Anna instead of him. He clicked his tongue. 'Tch! Anna can block this attack, but she will be vulnerable to that man. I won't be fast enough to reach her too… Still, I know that the Space Plate can be used that way, but this man is really strong to trouble me like this.' 

Alex faced a dilemma as the only thing that could catch up with this attack was only his Space Element. He gritted his teeth and decided to reveal his elements. 'He won't be there to tell the tale anyway.' 

Raising his hand, Alex released his Space Element. A portal also appeared in front of Alex's Mythical Spear Cannon before another one materialized behind the man.

"!!!" The man realized there was a portal behind him and quickly hardened the Space behind him, blocking the attack as if it were a shield. Before he noticed it, Anna already came back. "You… You are also a Space Element User. But how can you use Spatial Gate and Space Plate?"

"You have nothing to say to me. Why should I tell you then?" Alex snorted as he raised his palm to the side, activating his Space Plate once again to disturb the space energy that enveloped this room. Alex had already mastered these two techniques since long ago but never thought about using them.

"These techniques could only be learned from my place! And the fact that you can use it… You must kill my people and gain the secret!" 

Alex furrowed his eyebrows, wondering. 'I learned these two techniques from my Master… Did Master bring the techniques from this place and escape? Is this the scenario?'

Yet, before Alex could do anything, an aged voice reverberated. "Cease at once!"
