Chapter 649 - Lin Xingzhi Confirms Alex's Condition

Alex activated the Rune Stone and ended up inside a cave. He looked around, only to find darkness and some lighting. Furrowing his eyebrows, he investigated his surroundings. 

The cave appeared to have a yellowish-white color. If he were on Earth, he would believe this was made of Limestone. Yet, he would be a fool if he said this was Limestone. Albeit, this was still considered as rank 6 stone and wouldn't become rubble if no one intentionally destroyed it. 

He activated his Spirit Eyes and found a path in which two signs of energy were discovered. Alex slowly made his way toward there, fully knowing it was Anna and Greg.

Anna quickly put down everything in her hands as she stood up. "Alex, have you finished your business? I thought you were only going for one or two days."

"Haha… I can't help it. I don't have many things to do here anyway, so I chose to spend all of it with Rose." Alex laughed, brushing the matter off.

"Well…" Anna looked down and nodded. "Do you want to rest first?"

"No. I have plenty of rest. The only thing I need now is an information update and the place where we can ambush them…" Alex remembered the thing he almost forgot. "I want to open my Gacha as well."

"Alright. I have compiled the information and will deliver it to you." Anna nodded before walking toward her and stretching her hand to the left. "I will lead you to the rest area." 

Alex nodded as they started to walk. He glanced at Anna and asked, "By the way, where are we?"

"We are situated on the northeast from Black Devil Sect inside the previous forest. However, we find this place slightly later when Nelson is going to the Ancient Blue Family." Anna paused for a moment. "We are inside an underground cave right now, and this place is harder to find. You will know about the appearance after we come out."

Alex never had a problem with where they were staying as long as it was comfortable. Nonetheless, he was slightly curious why this place was hard to find. Suppressing his curiosity for a while, he nodded and looked at the room in front of him. 

"You can have a nice stay here." Anna nodded before pointing to the passage in her right. "Go this way, and you will find Sherry and the others."

"Alright."

"Then, have a good time. I will bring you the information later." Anna smiled as she gradually walked away. 

Alex entered the room, looking at the empty room. He couldn't blame anyone since this place was their temporary base; in fact, he would only use this room to Evolve Sherry's Pure Fire before heading toward the next continent.

He sat on the bed as this was one of the furniture they bought from outside. 

"System, I have fifty Gacha Tickets, right?" Alex asked. 

[Yes.]

"Use-" Before he finished his words, the system warned him.

[If you want to use the Tickets, you might want to go inside the Gacha Palace.]

"Why?" Alex tilted his head in confusion, contemplating the reason.

[You have so many Premium Tickets right now, and there is a high possibility you will get the other tickets as well, so it's better to come inside.] 

"Oh!" Alex's eyes flashed, understanding her idea. "Alright. Open the gate."

Hearing his order, the white gate appeared again and gradually opened. Alex entered the Gacha Palace as Lin Xingzhi came to him.

"Welcome again."

Alex thought whether he wanted to use it all at once or opened it one by one. Thinking there wasn't that much time left, the answer came naturally to his mind. "I will open it at once."

"I know." Lin Xingzhi replied with a smile as if she knew Alex would choose this. With a single wave of her hand, the Premium Gacha shone brightly as it gradually shot out twenty boxes.

She lifted her hands up, and the boxes suddenly opened up with the Gacha Balls gradually floated in the air. She finally snapped her finger, opening the Gacha Balls simultaneously. 

It was quite a sight to see fifty Gacha Balls were opened at once. Alex slightly squinted his eyes, noticing a few good items.

Alex was overwhelmed by the reward this time. He never opened these many Premium Gacha at once, so his eyes couldn't adjust by the amount of information. He looked through the log for the reward and realized he got five UR items.

[Fire Core Technique (UR) x1] 

[Ice Element Orb (UR) x1]

[Gacha Hammer (UR) x5]

[Luminance Tulip (UR) x1]

Alex had no thought about Rank 8 Monster Blood as he could obtain it a bit later. On the other hand, this Fire Core Technique piqued his interest, so he opened it without hesitation. It was a good technique but didn't suit him. Instead, it seemed to be a good combination for Kyle and Stina. They needed another technique in any case since their current technique wasn't strong enough to be used in Martial Monarch or Martial Saint battle.

Of course, this Fire Core Technique was a Peak Heaven Tier Technique, so they could use it until the end. However, the moment he saw Ice Element Orb, he quickly glanced at Lin Xingzhi with a weird expression. "Are you telling me to go save Letizia?"

"Haha… Everything is random." Lin Xingzhi chuckled while shaking her head. There was still a possibility that Alicia might use it, but Alex instantly removed that thought as he knew Lin Xingzhi must treat Alicia nicely. Then, he only had Letizia in this world that could use this kind of orb. Hence, this type of thought was normal.

Alex shrugged his shoulder and looked at the Gacha Hammer. "This is an interesting reward…"

Lin Xingzhi just smiled. She knew that this Gacha Hammer would give him a UR item and four other rewards. It just showed Alex how many Gacha Balls he opened to the point it could give him this kind of reward. 

"Anyway, I will use it after this." Alex nodded and looked at the last UR item. "This… This is also the ingredient for rank 8 Pill to enhance one's talent. I only need two more ingredients and skills to make this type of pill. No one in our group actually needs this pill, so I think I will give Rose and Evelyn one each, considering I can make two from a set of ingredients."

"It's your choice. You can sell it as well, but I think giving these two little girls will be more beneficial." She nodded.

"Indeed." Alex then started to go through the list of items. He got two Elemental Orbs (SR), ten Summoning Tickets, and Two rank 7 Monster Blood. Or at least, these were the important things for him. The rest of the items were tossed inside the Inventory. 

"Let's go to the Gacha Crystal!" Alex looked at Lin Xingzhi and started walking.

Like the previous one, Alex shattered the crystals one by one and got one UR item with four unimportant items, except the UR item was also not useful to him.

Alex looked at Lin Xingzhi and sighed. "Use the Summoning Tickets."

Even after fifty Premium Tickets, Alex didn't get anything that could be used against Fire God Clan, so he had no more expectation for the last ten Summoning Tickets.

Alas, an SR card startled him.

Alex quickly summoned him as a translucent guy appeared from within the gate. There was only a single thought in his mind at the moment, and it was, "A ghost?!"

"Neon greets Young Master. Let me apologize first to come this late." Neon knelt in one knee. He looked like a person in mid-thirty, but Alex couldn't see any colors other than blue. Whether it was his eyes, hair, body, clothes, all of them were translucent blue. Luckily, the contrast between each allowed him to see the contour of his face and his body shape. 

"It's my fault… I'm not lucky enough to get your card." Alex shook his head. "I think I can't spare EXP Cards since we have an incoming enemy and might need to use the EXP Cards."

"I understand the situation, Young Master. Please think nothing about me. By killing them alone will give me a ton of EXPs, so I can level up naturally." Neon smiled. "Anyway, I will do whatever task you need me to do."

Alex contemplated for a moment and said, "You can stay inside the card first. I will give you a mission after you reach Martial Emperor since our opponents are Martial Monarchs and Saints." 

"I understand." Neon nodded, knowing he would just court death if he were stubborn. He turned into light, flying into the card.

Alex then put the card inside his Inventory and looked at Lin Xingzhi. "I have finished all the matters here, I guess…"

Lin Xingzhi nodded. "Yeah. Though I wish to say a few things to you and each of them is important."

"Sure. Please tell me."

"First of all, Although I know Anna's way is not the best way to teach you about the Mind Control Technique, I hope you can forgive her."

Alex might have accepted all the lessons and learned it, but his reaction was slightly off. Anna might not be able to see this, but Lin Xingzhi was different. She had been with Alex and understood him the most. Unlike the Previous Alex, the current one had a bad memory with a woman in the past. The fear from the past might resurface at any time, so Lin Xingzhi thought they needed to talk it out. This was one of the reasons she wanted to meet Alex. 

"Don't worry. At least, I got a valuable lesson from it." Alex shook his head with a smile.

Lin Xingzhi was still unsure about his condition but decided to wait first. She had prepared something that could brighten his mood anyway. 

"The second matter will be about the Blackwade Clan. I know you have learned they are from the Outside World. However, I wish you not to disclose it to the public as it's a secret matter, and only three people know about this in their family. Many people here have understood about the world above them, but no one actually understands what kind of concept the universe is."

Alex contemplated for a moment and nodded. "I won't say anything. Besides, I need to see if I can get their cooperation first."

"I can assure it." Lin Xingzhi nodded with a serious expression. "At that time, you need to follow my lead so as to not leave suspicion from them."

"I will try." Alex agreed. Although he didn't know why Lin Xingzhi was this serious, this action actually gave him more resolve than when others answered it. 

"Of course, if you don't wish to, we can treat this conversation as if it never happened. As I said previously, I will always be supporting you, so controlling you is a bit harsh… I guess." Lin Xingzhi made a little smile.

"It's fine." Alex shook his head. "Their cooperation is more important than this."

"It's going to be a short session though." Lin Xingzhi assured him once more as she stretched her hand, asking him to walk toward the door together. 

Alex followed her without saying anything, stepping outside the gate after a few seconds. 

Lin Xingzhi closed the door slightly, but abruptly stopped as she conveyed the last message.

"The last matter is good news, albeit I can't disclose it too much. All I can say is this will come pretty soon in the time you never expect."

The door closed as soon as she said the last piece, confusing Alex for a few minutes. "What did she mean by good news? It's more like a surprise, right?" 

"Rather than thinking about it, I should bring the Fire Core Technique to Kyle and Stina first," Alex muttered to himself before noticing a paper full of information, lying on top of his bed. It must come from Anna, but Alex decided to save it for later and left the room.
