582 The Beginning of the Battle

Name:Gacha Sovereign Author:Fixten
Later at night, the moon was almost right above their heads. For Black Devil Sect, this was the last night to prepare for their big movement tomorrow. Little did they know that this night was actually the start of their doom.

Alex and the others slowly made their way toward the mountain, positioning themselves on the top of the mountain. Because the mountain was higher than the plain and surrounded by many hills, it was hard to see the top, especially in this darkness.

Alex climbed on top of the rock to see the condition on the plain. Although his condition was basically the same, barely able to see their figure, he could still easily see them with his Spirit Eyes.

The energy in their body brightened the world. Then, Alex started searching around the surroundings, whether there was any patrol around. Luckily, he found no sign of energy or else he needed to eliminate them.

After checking his surroundings and the enemies' position, Alex jumped off the rock while saying, "According to the plan, all of you can use your True Spirit Body now. Although it will create a little turbulence in our surroundings and the possibility of alarming them, our plan won't change. We will bombard them with powerful attacks and kill as many as possible."

The spirits nodded at the same time before raising their respective weapons and said, "True Spirit Body."

Inside their body, Spiritual Energy sparked and gushed out of their pores. The sudden influx of energy alarmed not around their area, but also those on the plain.

Moar also felt the sudden change of Spiritual Energy and quickly opened his eyes, looking above the mountain. At this time, four lights shot to the sky from four directions. Although the light was hard to see from a distance, it was very clear for those on the plain.

The lights suddenly created a layer of translucent barrier, connecting with each other. It was at this moment Moar realized the enemy was coming… And they used a barrier to trap them. In other words, there was an Array Master in their ranks.

After realizing his situation, Moar shouted, "Is there any Array Master here? We need you to break the barrier!"

Unfortunately, his shout wasn't answered. It wasn't because there was no Array Master in their rank, but because all people could see the sky brightened.

Four Phoenixes appeared on top of the mountain.

"Cry!" They released a cry before flying toward the plain.

"Attack!"

"Shoot down the phoenixes!"

A few fast ones who had recovered from the shock quickly shouted to wake the others up, and they somehow woke around two hundred members.

"Raging Wind."

"Sword Blaster."

"Fire Breath."

Those people shot their own attacks in order to destroy the phoenixes. Unbeknownst to them, this was exactly what the opposite party wanted. The moment they shot out those attacks.

The guy simply clapped his hand once before a gate appeared in front of the phoenixes. It was a huge gate, leading to a blue-layered realm. However, all the people here were confused about what kind of gate it was, until Moar finally recognized the gate.

"It… It's a Space Element! A Space Gate!" His face turned pale as he saw the gate swallow those attacks while the phoenixes flew around the gate and continued making its way toward them.

"Not good!" The disciples tried to send another wave of attack, but the previous portal suddenly appeared right above them. At this time, everyone realized what kind of attack was this.

"Space-"

"Boom Boom!" Before they could finish their words, their previous attacks rained from the portal, creating numerous explosions. Alex, of course, had added Sound Insulation Array into his barrier to prevent anyone from noticing.

The series of explosions wreaked havoc on the battlefield with its might. The one who created this was none other than Alex. By using this kind of diversion tactic, the Phoenixes fell on them.

"Boom Boom!"

"Argh!"

"Gah!"

The disciples that were hit at the point-blank range were injured or reduced to ashes for their weaker ones.

Unfortunately, their suffering had yet come to an end. In fact, it was just a start because a huge bubble fell onto them. It was at this time Moar finally made a move as he flew toward the bubble.

Taking his sword out of the space ring, Moar covered it with his domain and dark red energy. The energy was blazing like a flame before growing into a larger size. Moar raised his sword and swung it, shooting a cross Sword Wave toward the bubble.

"Dark Blood Cross Slash!"

It sliced the bubble into four as well as popping it out. The bubble turned into millions of droplets, raining on them.

"Don't panic! The enemy is above the mountain. We just need to fly."

Moar shout woke everyone, albeit as soon as his shout, it was followed by another move from Alex's group. This time it was the combined attack of Fabio and Vera. Just like Moar's cross sword wave, these two's combination attacks also sent out a cross sword wave.

The two sword waves clashed against each other. As one would expect, the sword wave from Fabio and Vera shattered Moar's sword wave in an instant and made its way toward Moar.

"Ugh!" Moar quickly raised his sword while covering it with a dark red flame. Unfortunately, he wasn't strong enough to block this attack completely. The sword wave blew him away to the ground.

"Bam!"

Moar endured the pain while looking at the sword wave that had yet to be broken. He ignored the blood that flowed outside his mouth as he tried to get back on his feet. However, a few people appeared in front of the air and struck the sword wave with their full power.

"Boom!" After a few seconds, they somehow managed to destroy the sword wave with great difficulty. Just like Moar, the force from the sword wave blew them to the ground. A few of them spat a mouthful of blood while some of them had their hand numb.

At the same time, another wave of attack came at them. This time there was a black wave carrying dreadful energy, a big sword falling from the sky, and five hundred firebirds.

"Shoot them!"

"Attack!"

They started using their respective Martial Arts for the sake of destroying these attacks because they were scared after watching how strong the two previous attacks were. They didn't hope for this attack to crash on them.

As if they were the bodyguards of the black wave and big sword, the firebirds formed a formation in front of these two attacks and intercepted all incoming attacks.

"Boom Boom!"

A series of continuous explosions kept echoing across the region as the two attacks were flying toward them safe and sound.

"It's coming." Moar roared and made a barrier for himself. On the other hand, the other disciples charged at the two attacks with their weapons. From ten people to twenty… From twenty to fifty… The number of disciples kept increasing and managed to destroy these two attacks.

"The enemies should be on the top of the mountain. Fly up high and spread out, so they can't target us." Moar ordered as he also floated to the air.

The disciples quickly flew to the sky, but this was the time where things started getting rough. Just like before, four phoenixes appeared on top of the mountain as the disciples were wondering whether the space gate would appear again or not. At the same time, Alex and his group took advantage of this and summoned a hundred firebirds to surround the phoenixes.

The four phoenixes let out a cry and flew toward the Black Devil Sect. The people wanted to shoot it down but were afraid of the Spatial Gate. In the end, they let the Phoenixes get closer and closer to them so they could strike it. Unfortunately, the moment they got closer, all the firebirds that had been hiding until now finally spread out.

"!!!"

"It's a trap!" The disciples shouted as they quickly destroyed the firebirds first before shooting the phoenixes down.

"Boom Boom Boom!"

Countless explosions occurred on the battlefield as each firebird exploded every time someone struck at them. This was also one of the wonderful things about the soul because Alex could control whether he wanted to destroy it or keep it.

Though as expected from the disciples of Black Devil Sect. Even though they were not expecting something like this, they could somehow manage to destroy all the firebirds. At the same time, a few people gathered around and formed a barrier made of their Spiritual Energy to block the Phoenixes.

The Phoenixes' explosions swallowed them, but it didn't manage to kill them. The worst one only had one of his arms destroyed. Seeing the state of the battle, Alex knew they could still shoot another attack before retreating to the forest.

After signaling the order to his group, Alex used his sword and spear this time. He raised both weapons and channeled his Spiritual Energy. The domain was concentrated in the tip of each weapon before fusing with Alex's fire.

Alex took a deep breath before breaking the seed inside his body and letting his Pure Fire take over. This would enhance his attack even further.

Looking at Anna and the others who were ready to shoot out their attack, Alex nodded and swung both weapons simultaneously.

"Triple Draws!"

"Blade of Conquest!"

By using these two moves with his two weapons, Alex could create six sword waves at the same time. Meanwhile, Stina and Kyle used Fire Lotus Petal technique to blast their enemy. On the other hand, Sherry made a big Flame of Extinction above her head… a small laser beam of this technique alone was already dangerous, let alone one this big. Alex only worried about her Spiritual Energy because this technique should require a huge amount of Spiritual Energy.

All of them shot their attacks in unison while the spirits released their attacks in succession. This was Alex's plan. His and the contracted beasts attacks were just a decoy while his spirits were the real attacks.

The strategy was proven to be effective when they saw the disciples were focusing on the decoy instead of the attack behind them.

"Boom Boom Boom!"

"Argh!"

The decoy might not be able to hurt anyone, but it was already enough for the other attacks to kill a few of them. Alex calculated briefly in a single glance and noticed that their numbers were reduced significantly. We should have killed fifty people within these few attacks, Alex thought.

After confirming the enemy state, he turned around and said, "We are going for phase two!"
