565 Confusion

As Alex and the group had settled down with Lin Xingzhi, his group flew toward their base to discuss their next plans. 

However, the matter in the city had yet to finish.

As soon as Lin Xingzhi disappeared, the Divine Soul lifted from their mind, letting their consciousness come back to their bodies.

Song Yi's body shook as he looked around to see what was going on.

"This?" 

The light finally returned from his blank eyes as the black world finally turned into the normal world again. In a split second, he realized that he was stopped by an existence far higher than him. However, there wasn't a single memory of why he would experience such a thing.

He tried to search his memory, but the only thing he remembered was when he arrived at this continent, albeit he found out that his surroundings were not in the port. Instead, it looked like he was above the city or something. 

"El… Fourth Elder…" An old man's voice resounded from behind.

Song Yi turned around only to see a familiar figure on his mind. "Song Qiang?"

"So… Song Qiang greets Fourth Elder." Song Qiang quickly bowed, greeting him again.

Song Yi wanted to reply, but this full situation confused him, not allowing him to show his warm side. Then, he looked around to search for the people that came here with him. "If I am not wrong, I came with the people from the Fire God Clan. Where are they?"

"Fire God Clan?" Song Qiang narrowed his eyes before helping him search for them. Although he didn't want to, he needed to know what was happening. "But elders, which Fire God Clan are you talking about?"

There was not even a single member from Fire God Clan around whether they were from this continent or the other continent, confusing him. 

"From Heavenly Continent of course… I thought we were going together… Is this the plan of the Fire God Clan? Are they plotting something?" Song Yi released his power to see whether there were stronger people nearby. Unfortunately, not a single Martial Saint was near except the third elder.

If Alex were here, he wouldn't even realize that the Spiritual Energy cleaned up the bodies after Lin Xingzhi left this place. Yet, if they took care of the bodies, the blood still left a mark on the ground.

Song Qiang somehow managed to spot one of them. He quickly entered the city and touched the blood. "This… This is still new."

Song Yi noticed his movement, so he flew toward him. "What is this? Blood? Did someone get murdered or something? But this blood has a Martial Monarch aura inside them…"

"Without you talking about it, I also have some doubts. Search around this town and see if there is Martial Saints blood around this area." Song Yi quickly gave an order. He suspected that someone butchered the Fire God Clan. This was why they were not here. He was wondering what kind of existence that could lock his consciousness and erase his memory. Dread crept inside his heart as he thought about it.

Luckily, the situation seemed to be safe, so he just wanted to have a quick look before reporting to the main clan.

After a few minutes, Song Qiang found the blood trail and reported to Song Yi.

"This is really… Martial Saints… As expected, they are killed…" Song Yi gasped before gulping down. "Is this the work of Spirit Nest?"

"Spirit Nest?" With his memory erased, Song Qiang was clueless. He asked, "May I know Elder's purpose for visiting this continent?"

"I am here to help you to deal with the Spirit Nest…" Song Yi started recalling his mission. Like the previous conversation, Song Qiang explained that this was a scam and began badmouthing the Fire God Clan, except that the conclusion was a bit different from the previous one.

Unlike the peaceful situation where Song Yi decided to help the Spirit Nest, he could only feel dread at this point. The doubts lingered around in his mind as he flew toward the Blue West Clan and Antheream Family.

"You two answer me. Are you going to fight against the Spirit Nest or help them?" Song Yi released his Martial Saint pressure to scare the two Martial Monarchs.

They were obviously frightened and started talking about the matter.

"We remember that the Fire God Clan offered us to join hands to destroy Spirit Nest. However, my son, who is not here, advised me to help Spirit Nest. In the end, we decided to help them."

The answer enlightened him. It was like what he suspected. 

"This must be the works of the Spirit Nest. Looking at this scene, the first trail we found are from the two influences, Martial Tower and Supreme Element Sect. On the other hand, the separate trails would be the Fire God Clan. It would seem the Spirit Nest actually had someone terrifying in their ranks." Song Yi muttered to himself, trying to find out any other clues.

After a few minutes, Song Qiang suddenly asked him. "Elder, do you know our Blackwade Clan VIP Card but with two 'V' on it?"

Song Yi fell into silence as his eyes widened, staring at Song Qiang. "What did you say? Two 'V' on the card?"

"Ye-Yes." The big reaction from Song Yi startled him as he quickly added. "According to my granddaughter, the VIP card had two 'V.' Back when I was in the main clan, I learned about its existence from rumor. Because I am not confident about this, I want to ask Elder about it."

"This… I am also not clear. Only a few important people, such as the grand elder, the patriarch, and the successor, have access to this information. Some rumors are going around the elder seats, but I still need to ask the patriarch about this. From the rumor, this card is usually called by Supreme VIP Card. A person who has this card can be considered as one of us. I don't know if it's true, but his identity would be at the same level as Grand Elder… I need to ask about this first to the patriarch." Song Yi said with great difficulty. 

"Un-understood." Song Qiang bowed. 

"Still… if their rumor is actually true, I can somehow imagine how the Fire God Clan died. I need to warn the patriarch about this Spirit Nest and invite him to the main clan." Song Yi nodded before staring at Song Qiang like he wanted to ask something.

Song Qiang tilted his head in confusion. He wanted to ask, but Song Yi had already continued.

"Actually, I have been following your information. If I am not wrong, your eldest granddaughter has some connection with the leader of Spirit Nest, Alexander Sirius, right?"

"That powerful?" Song Qiang gasped before looking down, pondering something.

"Yes. She is Song Yu. In fact, she is here with us." Song Qiang turned around and looked at Song Yu. "Little Yu, come here and meet the Fourth Elder, the elder who took care of me when I was back at the main clan."

Song Yu nodded and flew toward her before she clasped her hand respectfully. "Song Yu greets Elder…"

"Just call me Elder Song Yi. Even your grandfather used to call me Old Yi." Song Yi waved his hand. He didn't know why, but looking at Song Yu calmed his heart a bit. 

"Yes, Elder Song Yi." 

"Anyway, I want to talk about many things, but I have another important thing to do. That's why I want to ask whether you really have some personal relationship with this Alexander Sirius?" 

"Yes. Junior has some kind of relationship. However, it's only between Senior Sister and Junior Brother." Song Yu answered politely.

As soon as the talk changed into Alex, Song Yu suddenly remembered a certain figure. That figure could threaten the existence of the Blackwade Clan. It was none other than Maxwell, albeit she still doubted whether Maxwell actually had that much power.

"She has more talent than me, and her hearing is exceptional." Song Qiang introduced her with pride.

Song Yi only nodded about this before asking his next question. "In that case, how much do you know about Alexander Sirius?"

"Junior doesn't have much memory with him since he always trained. Junior knows about his talents in Sword, Spear, Alchemy, and Array. As to how high his achievement is, Junior is still not clear. It could be said the report on this day, might be very different from the report on the next day." Song Yu said mysteriously.

Song Yi narrowed his eyes. "I see. A peerless genius that can beat the trial. His genius knows no bounds that even the report about him needs to be quickly changed. This will be troublesome for the main clan. If he really has the Supreme VIP card, it couldn't go to our opposition because it will be a disgrace to the clan."

Song Yu looked down. After learning that Alex had this much power, it was foolish of her to think that he would need a little help from her. She bit her lips in disappointment.

"We should search for this Alexander Sirius first before asking him to go to the Heavenly Continent's Blackwade Clan. Considering his power… or at least his influence, I feel it is worth it to give him that kind of position." Song Yi nodded. He looked at Song Yu, and an idea flashed on his mind. "Ehm… I will call you little Yu, alright?"

"As Elder Song Yi wishes." Song Yu nodded.

"Little Yu, what do you think about the Main Clan?"

"What do I think about the Main Clan?" Song Yu was astonished to get a question like this.

"Yes, the Main Clan. Do you have any prejudice about the main clan? The fact that it has expelled your Grandfather to this place… it's entirely my fault. However, the sin of a grandfather is not a sin of a granddaughter. If I invite you to the main clan, would you come with me?" Song Yi asked. 

He didn't know why, but looking at Song Yu reminded him of the young Song Qiang. He might repay the debt through Song Yu and help her become an elder. At that time, he could retire and enjoy life. Besides, Song Yu had a certain relationship with Alex. He could use this as a bargaining chip to the patriarch when he asked about the Supreme VIP Card.

The patriarch would obviously protect Song Yu if that truly happened, killing three birds with one stone.

"I… N-" She wanted to reject this offer, but the words stuck on her throat. The scene where Alex continued despite having many injuries flashed on her mind. It was only one step away. After the first step, you only need another step and repeat the process. 

She wondered whether the main clan could provide her more assistance for Alex if she joined. There was also another report about Letizia, Alex's servant, that mysteriously disappeared. Seeing there was no trace of her, she predicted that she already reached Heavenly Continent.

Looking at these two, Song Yu hesitated to reject his offer. It would be good if she entered the Heavenly Continent and cultivated there. At least, she would have a chance to help Alex.

"Grandfather…" Song Yu glanced at Song Qiang, asking for permission.

"You are already a grown-up… Don't worry about the clan. Besides, little Jia is there." Song Qiang only smiled, relieving her heart. 

"I am in the care of Elder Song Yi."

"Haha… Good good good. I won't repeat the mistake I made in the past and would surely protect you." He then glanced at Song Qiang. "We are going to stay in your house for one or two days so that she can say goodbye. After that, we are going back to the Heavenly Continent."

"Yes. I will even make a party for Elder." Song Qiang smiled. 

"Haha…" Song Yi only laughed cheerfully.
