510 Unlucky Day

Name:Gacha Sovereign Author:Fixten
When he heard that, other than commenting inwardly, he did not turn back. The thing would escalate if he went with the cliches and confronted him.

Alex waved his hands, creating a small form of energy in order to distract him. For the instant he looked away, Alex disappeared. This action angered him as he never thought someone would dare to ignore him.

He pushed off the woman and chased Alex.

Alex did not really want to confront whoever he was, not because he was afraid, but it was annoying. Just by looking at his face, clothes, and characters, he knew it would be 'A family guy!' And with his cultivation, he would most likely come from one of the seven first-rate influences.

A dark alley appeared on his line of sight, tempting him to go inside. Alex smiled and leaped in, but when the guy came inside the alley, he only found a dead end. He even flew up but found no one.

This certainly baffled him as he snarled. "I remember his mask!"

Meanwhile, Alex was outside of the city, sighing. "Ehm… System, is my luck that bad today? Not even a day has passed, but I have gotten two problems…"

[There is always a day like this once in a while, Host.]

"Still, I don't know who that guy is." He furrowed his eyebrows, planning to ask Anya later.

He took out Anna's card and said, "Anna, change of plan… It would seem we can't meet in the city. I will explain the situation later, but ask Jeanne to meet me on a hill outside the city… the one in the north."

"Alright. I will tell her."

Although she was curious, it would be better to talk in the base. Besides, she was planning to summon all the spirits after he arrived.

He flew to the top of the hill, finding a good place to wait while wondering what he would do next.

From what he knew, he had two problems, Joyful Union Sect and Fire God Clan as they were targeting Spirit Nest for their own benefits. Although the Fire God Clan had yet to search their hand on them like the Joyful Union Sect, it would only be a matter of time.

Most likely, they were planning something toward the Blackwade Clan first before targeting his Spirit Nest.

When he thought about this, he heard a loud roar from behind. He turned around and saw a huge rhinoceros. Its strength was around Peak Martial King, but it should have a good defense just by looking at the jade that covered its body.

Unfortunately, Alex did not really have a mood to play around like this. A Rank 6 sword appeared on his hands before slashing the empty air, shooting out a Sword Wave.

Even though Alex had restricted himself by not using his Fire in this Sword Wave, it was sharp enough to cut this Martial King beast. The moment they clashed, the Sword Wave sliced the beast like tofu, killing it instantly.

Not long after, a group of people appeared. The majority of them were peak Martial King while there were two 2-Star Martial Emperors with them: A male and a female. The male was a young handsome blue-haired man while the woman was a cold beauty.

They looked at Alex in amazement.

His eyebrows twitched, feeling another trouble would soon come. Surprisingly, before he left, the young man said while clasping his hands politely, "Friend… Ehm… Actually, we need this beast. Seeing you want to leave, can we take this beast? I can pay for the beast."

The young man was polite to him because of his prowess. Even with his 2-Star Martial Emperor strength, it was still impossible to cut this monster cleanly like him. That was why when he saw Alex only had 1-Star Martial Emperor cultivation, he was sure Alex's attainment in the sword was far above him.

And a person like him was unnoticed in this continent, he would certainly like to know such a person, especially since the time for the Strength Plateau to open was near. From the record, every time the Strength Plateau opened, there would always be a genius appearing out of nowhere. Some geniuses would become a part of influence and some did not like to be under someone.

Nonetheless, knowing such a person would bring nothing but benefit. No trace of arrogance in his eyes, trying to make the other party comfortable.

"Do as you like." Alex shrugged. "I just don't like to be bothered and that beast bothers me."

"This…" The young man made a weird expression before saying, "We gratefully accept the beast. Ah, I am Ruben from Blue West Clan, and the person beside me is Lucia from Antheram Family."

The two names rang the bell on his ears. Blue West Clan was a clan that controlled the entire southwest of this continent, a first-rate influence. Antheream Family was also a first-rate influence, but they were the same as Blackwade Clan, a Merchant Family. If the Blackwade Clan controlled the market in the east, then this family controlled the west market.

He started to recall another information that Anya said to him back then. It was about the marriage between the young master of Blue West Clan, Ruben, and the young lady of Antheream Family.

They wanted to create a powerful influence so that they could expand their influence to Heavenly Continent. And this was precisely why the Fire God Clan would resort to something like that.

With the massive amount of money from the Antheream Family, even with Joyful Union Sect, it was not enough to beat these two families. In case they were beaten and asked for the clan in Heavenly Continent, there would be no more Fire God Clan in the Northern Continent.

Though Alex and the others did not know the depth of this plan, they understood the enemy of their enemy was their friend… for a while.

Because of this, Alex stopped in his tracks. He tried to come up with a single plan, but nothing came to his mind. There was nothing between them, and suddenly making contact with them would be suspicious.

From their perspective, it looked like Alex was struggling to say his name since he already bothered himself to put on a mask to hide his face.

Ultimately, he shook his head and disappeared, waiting for Jeanne somewhere else.

"Young Master, why are you so polite to him?" Ruben's subordinate asked.

"It's simply because he might be one of those, right?" Lucia turned her head and broke her silence.

"As expected of my wife!" Ruben jumped toward her, trying to hug her.

"Enough with your joke!" She only took out her spear and hit her head with the handle.

"Gah!" Ruben rubbed his head as he said, "Yes. He might be one of the geniuses that appeared out of nowhere. After all, there was no way a normal 1-Star Martial Emperor could cut the Jade Rhino this clean in a single slash.

"From the record, every time this kind of genius appeared, they would possess a unique strength. Even Family Head asked me to treat this kind of genius nicely and try to recruit him if possible. Albeit, this one seemed to not have any interest in it."

Hearing Ruben's explanation, they looked down. "I heard there might be a few more."

"Yeah…" He nodded. "I think she will also be qualified as a genius."

"She?" Lucia furrowed her eyebrows, recalling any genius in her mind.

"Yeah, the one who uses a sword like using a spear, Putri. Sadly, the Blackwade Clan stole the march and brought her under them."

"Ah!" Lucia agreed. "That one is really special. I never thought using a sword like using a spear is possible. She can even use either Sword Art or Spear Art depending on what she needs."

"Yeah. Although she could not participate in this time's Strength Trial, she might dominate the next one." He nodded.

Lucia remembered something. "If I am not wrong, she has a Master called Alexander Sirius. He was the one who taught her that art. Unfortunately, that person suddenly vanished and never appeared again. At first, we thought he went to Sacred Continent instead of this continent, but the spies did not find him anywhere."

"Should we meet him, we would certainly invite him." Ruben sighed. "That father of mine even wants to ask my little sister to entice him so we can obtain the art. Well, he is certainly worthy as he is also an Alchemist, powerful to boot. If his character is good, I am fine with it."

"Anyway, we should continue our mission first." Lucia turned back and ordered. "Get what we need right now. We should complete our second mission in less than a day."

"Yes!" They started working again, removing all the parts they needed.

Meanwhile, Alex was talking to Anna.

"Anna, can you get Jeanne to rush to my position… Somehow my luck today is very bad since I have met a few troubles on the first day I come back. Oh, wait, if you ask Jeanne to come here, she might also get into trouble because of me."

"Ahaha…" She chuckled before pausing for a while as Jeanne called her.

"Anna?" Alex was confused by this sudden silence. Not long after that, Anna replied with a troubled tone. "Well, just as you say, your luck sucks today. The Joyful Union Sect is chasing her right now. If I am not wrong, she should arrive in a few hours. Their number is a hundred with 5 Martial Emperors, what are you going to do?"

Alex pondered for a moment. "I will cut them down right now and regroup with Jeanne."

"Alright. I will tell Jeanne to come to your position and prepare to fight back," Anna said.

"Yes."

Alex then searched for an ambush position before calling the others out. "Sherry, Kyle, Stina, come out."

"I understand… Sister Jeanne will be surprised by my appearance." Sherry chuckled as she appeared in front of him.

"This is the first time I fight in this form… I wonder if I can do that." Kyle sighed.

"It's alright. I know you can. And there is still me." Stina smiled, gradually looking around her surroundings. "The energy around is the same… no, it's slightly higher than in my world. I guess I can break through to peak Martial Emperor in this place."

Alex nodded. "Well, I want three of you to learn Shapeshifting Technique to hide your wing, tail, and ears."

"!!!" Sherry's face became pale as she asked, "Master… Do you prefer that kind of appearance? I thought this tail and ears are good…"

She looked down, disappointed.

Alex sighed. "No. That's not it. I want all of you to join me in the Strength Plateau. It's just for that, and you can seal that technique away.

"I am sure that we can get something bountiful in that place, so it will be a waste not to utilize it. Besides, I have five keys right now. One is my possession, three from Neptune and the last one from Senior Sister… maybe I should give the box back since no spirits want to go and I don't have an acquaintance to use it."

"I thought you don't like my tail and ears." Sherry felt relieved.

"If that is my Master's will." Kyle nodded.

"Won't that bring trouble to you?" Stina worried.

"There are approximately nine months from now. I believe I can become a 3-Star or 4-Star Martial Emperor and level up one of the spirits to at least 3-Star Martial Monarch. Who can stop them at that time?" Alex smirked.

"If that is so, then I will obey. After all, I am also curious about the inheritance left by the previous Supreme." Stina nodded.

They then waited for another three hours before Alex could see Jeanne rushing toward his place with a hundred people.

Alex's expression turned serious as he said, "Sherry, Kyle, and Stina… It's killing time."

They smirked and replied. "Yes."
