5 Five: Different Consequences

[Alternative Universe]

"Hey, b*tch! Not responding to me?! See the consequences for yourself then!"

Two girls, obviously bullies from Shao Liling's school didn't seem to have any fun these days from the wimps they usually bully, they were too easy to submit to their beatings that it wasn't fun to play around with them anymore.

They went on a search for who to bully, and who could be the better candidate than Shao Liling? She doesn't talk, she doesn't interact with anyone. Even the teachers seem to avoid her because of the frosty aura surrounding her these days.

No one knew why she was even colder than before and not only that, she started distancing herself from the ones closest to her. Liu Shan frequently tries to brighten up her mood by dumbass jokes, but it does not seem to have any impact on her.

Shao Liqin always knocks on Shao Liling's door when she gets home at noon and asks everyday why she isn't responding to her these days. Shao Liling isn't someone who she used to be. The old Shao Liling used to have mood swings all the time and her moods were dependent on a occasion or a situation. She was responsive even if not in a positive way, and always found a way to roast someone unknowingly.

Shao Liling brightened up everyone's emotions as she always tries to be funny and can't see someone close to her being quiet and irresponsive to anything that happens around them, she used to go to extreme measures and always did something very extra that manages to change other's sentiments.

But, now that Shao Liling was the one despairing, she couldn't do anything about it. No one seems to have the effect on her like she does to other people.

No one, not even one person seemed to have been able to console her, to understand her, but all they do is to try distancing themselves away from her.

The reason why she enclosed herself from everything was because she wasn't what she wanted to be,

Shao Liling was so vulnerable.

So sensitive, so..

Careless.

She easily let anything alter her emotions as if didn't really matter, as it they were irrelevant.

Shao Liling looks in the mirror and wonders, 'Is this really me?'

'I..I don't think I can do this anymore mom,'

Her lips quivers,

'I don't fit right in this world,'

'Someone who barely knows me.....can tell me if I belong in this world or not.'

'I'm really that useless?'

'Is it because I'm at the peak of my age and the emotions I'm feeling right now will go away soon.....? Or is it....just him?'

'I don't know anymore mom, help me understand,'

She breaks down, shoulders sinking in melancholy, lips dry as she bites it unknowingly and blood starts covering her bottom lip. Sobbing tears of emptiness uncontrollably. Numb from all the feelings and emotions except for feeling drained.

Shao Liling stared into the mirrors and slowly raised her hand, tracing her face through the mirror as she stared at her own reflection. The reflection of a pale, ghastly looking person, greeted her in response. Emotionless eyes staring back with tear stained marks on her cheeks. Pupils empty without any meaning. Thin pale lips now decorated with blood spurting out.

'Mom.'

'Help me,'

'Did you really have to leave me? Leave us? Is that what you wanted?'

"Why do I even look like you, huh?"

Shao Liling spoke her first sentence in days,

"Why did you have to give me your face? If it meant you'd disappear?"

"What is the purpose of me living, huh? I'm as useless nothing, I could be compared to...nothing."

"Nothing. I can't feel nothing anymore."

"Is this what you felt like when I said that to you?"

"I'm so sorry."

"I..I...I-I can-can't be-believe I s-said th-that to you."

"I would have never said th-that," Shao Liling closed her eyes as she cried quietly to herself. "If I would have known if it was the las-last conversation between u-us?"

"You also hate me now, don't you?"

Shao Liling always thought, why? Why was she so sad when a person-no not a person, an animal' said something to her and it effects her this much? She was slowly getting tired, more and more tired. No food had entered her lifeless looking body recently.

She was reluctant to eat.

Because she wasn't what it takes to eat. She wasn't entitled as a human when all she does is suck the life out of it? She doesn't do anything other than taking from others.

Her eyes grew blurry. Shao Liling felt like there weren't anymore tears to spill, as her lifeless eyes poured countless drops of tears. Streaming down her hollow cheeks as her skin was dry because of so much tears, became wet, while the salty water continued pouring.

She couldn't cry outside. Not because then people would worry about her. Worry about a worthless living thing doing them no good. She wasn't worthwhile, she brought pain to other people, and also to herself.

What is even the point of living anymore?

She slid off her bed and stood up straight. Stumbling a bit from the dizziness of standing up so abruptly and also from lack of nutrients, as food wasn't what she cared about anymore.

Shao Liling exited her room. Lifelessly dragging her body upstairs towards the luxurious looking garden. But the purpose today was wasn't what she usually seems to go up her.

Today, she came to end it all for good.

Enjoying the cold breeze, Shao Liling looked down towards the city. She could see the whole city from how high this building was. Her cold gaze swept the city as her eyes stopped at a particular place.

The Gaming Shop. Someone exits the shop. With hands in their pocket from the cold weather. As that person closed the glass door as he turns back towards the direction Shao Liling was.

Her gazes met with a staff.

A person other than Ye MinFeng.

She quickly breaks down, knowing that she won't probably see him again. She herself wasn't sure of what she was feeling. She closed her eyes as emotions poured out of her every particle of body as she melts down. She lets her face with emotions written all over it move for the last time as she climbed the railing.

The person from earlier already disappeared within the common swarm of people going around, minding their own business.

Shao Liling let her body collapse as she could feel the falling of her numb body, everything eventually ended as she blacked out.
