Volume 2 Chapter 15: New evaluation in the City of Water

The carrier came back!」

When we stepped from the icy road into the harbor, people there were welcoming us with such words.

Everyone rushed to us, but the first one to approach us was Lilac.

「Are you okay, Axel-san! It seems that you returned from that half-sunken ship, but did you get any injuries…?! We have a medical tent set over here, so we can deal with it right away, just tell us! We also called here doctors from the marine guild.」

Lilac looked at an old man in a white robe. That’s probably the doctor.

「I’m fine. However, there were injured people. They are inside.」

Saying that I put my hand on the transportation bag.

I open the bag and pull out the beds where the injured and the captain are sleeping and line them up in the port. Then, people around started a commotion

「M-My goodness, he saved all of them and carried them all the way here…?」

「Wait a damn moment… That Carrier. I’ve seen him in the City of Stars. Certainly… He would finish any job instantly, a person called Flying carrier…」

「That《Flying Carrier》?! So he was real? Or actually, he can even run on sea…!!!」

And while listening to that murmur, I finished unloading all of the crew members.

「Those are all of them, is everything fine?」

I ask the doctor, who was inspecting crew members as I was getting them out. Then, Lilac, with an astonished expression, shook her head.

「Y-Yes. According to our information, with the inclusion of the members of the crew, who were brought here by Saki-san and Berzelia-san earlier, this is the whole crew… For all of them to survive despite falling into such a crisis, this is a miracle…!」

「I see. So it’s just as that captain was saying, we were able to save everyone. Then, I’ll leave the rest to you.」

「Y-Yes, sure!」

Lilac’s face turned serious, then, after exchanging a few words with the doctor she shouted to the marine guild’s members.

「You guys have everything arranged with the hospital?! It’s said their lives are not in danger but just in case we are sending them to the hospital!」

「Aye Aye, Ma’am! 」

Then, members of the marine guild put the injured on the prepared stretchers, one after another.

Now they can take care of the injured.

And when I breathe a sigh of relief that everything ended well—

「Hey, Axel-san. Everyone.」

Lilac approached us. And bowed deeply.

「It was a really bad situation, but you three really saved us…!」

「Well, that was a request. Don’t fret. Or rather, I think the one who did the most was Saki. If you want to thank someone, thank her.」

She was the one who created the icy road to reach the ship and then return. And when I voiced such thoughts of mine, Saki, who stood beside me, shook her head.

「I merely helped Axel. That part is really nothing to concern yourself with. Ah, but if Axel would like to give me a thank-you kiss I would accept it anytime!」

「Why you always have to drag conversations that way?」

「Haha… Axel-san, you really have incredible friends.」

And after hearing Lilac’s remark mixed with a somewhat sarcastic laugh—

「Carrier-niisan……」

A voice came from the side—

Looking in that direction, there was Wilhelm, who stood leaning on the shoulder of the marine guild member.

「Hm? Captain? Don’t you have to go to the hospital?」

「I do, but before going I wanted to express my gratitude. First of all, let me thank you… For saving my life. And I will come again, to properly give my thanks…」

Wilhelm was clearly weakened but talked in a firm tone. After that, he looked at Lilac.

「Lilac, thank you too. We were saved because you made a request to this carrier…」

Hearing him, Lilac sighed.

「Well, good for you. But I merely asked him and didn’t do anything. So don’t give me your thanks and pay back this favor to Axel-san himself… As a shipbuilding guild executive. And now, first of all, go to the hospital. You have the most serious injuries.」

「Ah… You are right. Then, after I get healed I will come to see you again. See ya, carrier-niisan. Also, Lilac, please come to the hospital after this. I want to deliver my report of this accident.」

And after saying that, Wilhelm walked away.

While looking at his back, I decided to ask Lilac about a thing really bothered me in her words.

「……So that captain was an executive of the shipbuilding guild?」

「Yeah. Despite his looks, he is the master of the shipbuilding guild. He likes to make judgments on the site, so he often can be found on a ship, but to think he will be on this one as well. Well, after this I’ll hear his report at the hospital.」

While saying that, Lilac turned to me and looked with a strong gaze.

「Let me thank you three again, for saved Wilhelm as well. We are really indebted to you this time. For the time being, the marine guilds will do its utmost to repay this debt.」

「Haha, well, don’t overdo it?」

「Yes, without overdoing it, we will use our full strength. Which includes the reward for this request. For starters, I’m planning to have a party to celebrate everyone coming back alive!」

And after leaving us such words filled with a strong will, Lilac went for the hospital.

Thus, the first request with Saki as the party member has been successfully completed.
