Ed’s mind once again wandered to the tigers that had occupied the lake.

The timing of the appearance of these peaches could be said to be just right.

The reason he was still afraid of the tigers was simple. He lacked speed. However, now that he had the buff from these peaches, he would be able to make up for this shortcoming.

“Time to get home and cook.”

Humming a tune, Ed and Little Treasure headed back to the wooden cabin.

Another thing worth celebrating was that after a full day of logging, they had gained a lot of resources. The requirements for the multi-purpose furnace were all but gathered. Ed kept this in the back of his mind for the time being.

Today’s luck was too good. He thought to himself that he really should find the time to go out more when he was free.

Five minutes later, they were back.

Ed put Little Treasure down on the ground before beginning to prepare the ingredients needed for today’s dinner.

The few fish remaining in the wooden buckets would be his main ingredients.

He was mostly all prepared to rob the lake. When that time came, all of the fish in the lake would be his. No one could rob them anyway, so he decided to no longer be thrifty.

After scooping out the small fish from the bucket, he knocked them out with a small tool. Once again, he followed that with cleaning and preparing them to cook. His actions were graceful and efficient, without a hitch at all.

Soon, a delicious grilled fish was out of the oven.

Ed and Little Treasure quickly devoured it., and the squirrel lay on the ground as it digested.

Ed, on the other hand, did not idle. He would have to gather the materials needed for the multipurpose furnace tonight and forge it. He was close to achieving a small goal.

Hard work paid off.

After more than an hour, he had gathered all the materials needed. Finally, he could start building this thing.

Opening the forging interface, Ed selected the multipurpose furnace. Following this, he submitted all the materials required before clicking to start its construction immediately.

All that was left to do now was wait.

As before, he did not need to build it himself. His omnipotent small hammer flew into life, working away on its own. It performed a series of movements, just as it had when it built the processing plant before.

Ed estimated that the time needed to build this multipurpose furnace would not exceed the time that it took to build the processing plant. It might even be faster.

Over the long wait, he enjoyed some fruits and played around with Little Treasure.

Two and a half hours passed in a flash, and a metal-coated building had risen from the ground.

The appearance of this building was much better than that of the processing plant. At the very least, it did not look so simple and crude, and did not look like it had been taken from some primitive world.

There seemed to be many different areas within the building, each of which was dedicated for different functions. In other words, the furnace would be able to carry out multiple procedures at the same time, which would be highly efficient.

[ Notice ] : The multipurpose furnace has been completed.

[ Notice ] : Please add wood. The upper limit is 500.

[ Notice ] : Materials required to create different items may vary. They will need to be added.

500 wood?

This much consumption could have easily been considered a lot.

However, would Ed ever be short of wood?

Even if he was to be short on something, it wouldn’t be wood. For him, this was just a matter of an extra couple of axe swings.

He threw 500 wood without even a tinge of heartache.

The moment they were added, the crackling sounds of burning wood could be heard coming from within. The temperature was now also much higher than when there was only the bonfire around.

At the same time, due to the completion of this structure, a number of black grids in Ed’s forging interface lit up.

Sifting through the list in his mind, he found what he wanted to forge.

Metal ingots!

[ Materials required for metal ingot: Metal sheet x10]

He thought to himself that the resources required for metal ingot were also very expensive. Although the amount specified was not much, metal sheets were classified as a precious resource, and somewhat rare.

Ed believed that no one else would waste that amount of metal sheets on forging metal ingots, as there was no real need for it.

The only reason he himself had wanted to make ingots was to create what he needed for the wooden house. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have been so bored as to do this pointlessly.

After some evaluation, he pulled out the remaining metal sheets on him, turning them all into metal ingots.

Once the materials were added in, the temperature inside the furnace spiked again.

The most convenient thing about this structure was that as long as he had the appropriate materials, he could make a variety of metal items without much effort. He just had to wait.

If it had boiled down to Ed doing everything himself, he would definitely have been unable to do it. The steps involved in forging were very cumbersome, and the time and manual labor required exceeded his abilities.

However, as it was automatic, all he needed to do now was wait. Yet he was not one to idle.

He added wood in some wood before turning away.

Cleaning the grill, he began to prepare dinner for the day.

Today’s dinner would still be grilled fish, but he added some boiled corn as well. After all, meat and vegetables went well together.

Tomorrow, he would carry out the plan in his mind.

If he succeeded, he would definitely have cause for celebration.

He locked his gaze on one of the forest chickens in the wooden basket.

That’s right, if the plan succeeded, he would kill a chicken to celebrate!

“I beg you, Big Brother!”

Noticing that it was being stared at by Ed, the chicken had instantly felt the scent of death creeping near it, and had immediately began to growl uneasily.

The fragrance of the corn and grilled fish mingled together, colliding and producing a strange mix.

Dinner was quickly finished.

As he had nothing left to do, Ed decided to take a quick look at the chat interface, and opened it up.

“Can anyone help me? I’m so uncomfortable! I feel very dizzy right now, and I don’t have any strength left in my body. I can’t even lift an axe.”

“Eh? I’ve been having the same feeling recently.”

“Same here. I’ve been feeling like that too these days, dizzy and weak all over.”

“Could it be because you haven’t eaten enough? I don’t have such a feeling.”

Seeing this, Ed had immediately understood the reason for their concerns.

It was a lack of salt.

Just as he had guessed, a number of people soon answered their questions.

“You haven’t taken salt for a long time, so you will definitely have these symptoms.”

“That’s right, I was a medical student before. Your symptoms are due to a lack of salt.”

Ed smiled to himself.

God was on his side!

He could already smell the coming cache of resources, and there would be quite a number of them.
