Chapter 66 - A New Friend

~ At Anderson Family Mansion ~

Selene and Grandma Elysa were helping Aunt Ling in the kitchen. They were preparing for lunch.

Aunt Ling was the main cook in their mansion. She had been serving the Anderson Family for two decades now.

She was one of those loyal servants just like Uncle Jorge, the head of security guard assigned in the Mansion.

Samantha requested to have curry during lunch matched with a grilled Tuna belly. Those were her favorite foods.

Aside from those dishes, Selene also prepared a vegetable salad which was good for Grandma Elysa's health.

Selene just finished the salad dressing when her phone rang. She excused herself from Grandma Elysa and Aunt Ling to answer the phone call.

"Selene! I'm already here at the front gate of your mansion!"

It was Samantha's voice from the other line.

"That's great! Uncle Jorge will guide you here to the mansion,' Selene responded excitedly.

"Yes, he introduced himself to me. We are now walking towards the house. Alright. I'll hang up now. See you!"

When the call ended, Selene immediately proceeded to the front door to wait for Samantha.

It did not take long when she caught a glimpse of Samantha's figure, coming in. Selene waved at her with a bright smile on her face.

Samantha waved back as she noticed Selene. She walked with large strides to reach Selene's spot right away. After accompanying Samantha, Uncle Jorge said goodbye to the two ladies.

Samantha gave Selene a friendly hug as she greeted her.

"Thanks for inviting me today. How are you? You were very drunk last night. I hope you are feeling better now."

Selene put her forefinger on her lips. "Shhhh, please don't mention to grandma about me getting so drunk last night. Please…"

Samantha giggled after seeing Selene's pleading look. "Alright. Promise. I will not mention anything about it. My lips are sealed."

Samantha raised her fingers onto her mouth, moving them from the left to right side of her lips as if she was zipping her mouth.

Selene let out a soft giggle because of that. She really felt comfortable with Samantha.

"Come, let's go inside. I will introduce you to my grandma."

"Sure. I'm so excited to meet her."

Soon the two ladies headed straight to the kitchen where Grandma Elysa and Aunt Ling were busy cooking. She introduced them to each other briefly.

Samantha was overwhelmed because of their hospitality. She was welcomed warmly and they even prepared her favorite foods.

"Oh my gosh, why do I feel like I am a VIP guess here? I didn't demand Samantha to do this. Please don't misunderstand Mrs. Anderson."

"Silly girl! This old woman already knew that. You don't have to worry dear. Just enjoy the food later."

"Oh, one more thing… Just call me grandma. Mrs. Anderson is too formal." Grandma Elysa requested Samantha with a gentle smile on her aged face.

"Ok, grandma!" Samantha obeyed her.

"Good. Now, go to the living room first with Selene. Aunt Ling and I will be done soon."

"But we want to assist you as well," Samantha said.

But Grandma Elysa insisted on them leaving. The two young ladies had no choice but to follow grandma's command.

When they settled down in the living room, Selene started to ask Samantha.

"Sam, do you know someone who has a dragon tattoo on his arm?"

Samantha gazed at her confusedly, wondering why Selene asked this question out of the blue.

"Hmm, as far as I could remember… I have none. I don't know anyone who has a dragon tattoo. But I knew someone with a different tattoo." Samantha said, giggling.

"By the way, why are you asking me this? Don't tell me you are into guys with a tattoo. Renz doesn't have one. Will you ask him to have a tattoo?" Samantha was teasing her.

Selene smiled at her sheepishly, scratching her face. Now, she needed to make an excuse for asking her that.

"Oh, it's not like that. I love Renz not having a tattoo. I don't like men with a tattoo. How about you?" She tried diverting her question.

"Hmm. I like them because I like cold and badass men. They looked cool."

Selene was speechless because of her honest remarks. But she was glad that she didn't know someone who had a dragon tattoo. This only meant that the suspect was a stranger to Samantha.

"Oh, Samantha, I will give you advice since I had a dream last night. Stay away with a guy who was a dragon tattoo on his arm. You can date and like anyone but not a guy who has a dragon tattoo."

"Eh?! Why is that so?" Samantha looked at her weirdly.

"Guy like that is dangerous!" Selene said matter-of-factly.

Samantha burst into a peal of laughter after hearing that. She didn't know whether Selene was joking or she was serious about that.

Selene pouted because she could see that Samantha didn't take her words seriously. Selene grabbed Samantha's hands and looked at her intently.

"Can you promise me that you will avoid a guy with a dragon tattoo?" Selene said with her pleading voice.

"Alright. Just don't give me that pitiful look. I promise I will stay away from a guy with a dragon tattoo."

Selene's face brightened up after hearing Samantha's promise.

"Thanks, Samantha!"

Samantha giggled once again.

"Why are you thanking me?" She asked Selene quizzically.

"Thank you for being kind to me," Selene said sincerely.

"No need to thank me. I just like your personality."

"Are we friends now?" Selene asked her expectantly.

"Yes, of course! We are friends now!"

Selene was so happy to hear that. She and Samantha were now friends. She became more motivated to save her.

The two of them were still talking when someone arrived. Micaela entered the mansion and saw Selene having a conversation with someone. She couldn't see Samantha's face since her back was facing the door.

"Selene! I'm here!" Micaela called her out, making the two ladies look in her direction.

Both Samantha and Micaela were taken aback after they recognized each other.

Samantha: "You…"

Micaela: 'It's her! The woman who saw me and Mr. M in the fire exit last night!'
