19 Humming

After I wake up with a jolt, dozens of questions enter my head. From what I remember from the dream, that first meeting with that lady seems to be when I was thrown into this mess.

As I slump to floor in a heap of blue hair, I can't help but sigh.Does everything really have to be this complicated? There's no clear goal for me to follow and there's nothing I can do no matter how many clue-giving dreams I have.

But still...It is pretty interesting to see memories of the me before. But at the same time it's quite unsettling, seeing memories of a person that doesn't feel like me.I know that the only thing that separates the Via before and Via now is a just forgotten memories. But it feels as if I'm completely different person from her.

Hmm...I'm probably overthinking it.

Anyways, as I'm laying on the ground in a awkward and uncomfortable position, trying to ignore the biting pain of the lashes, it occurs to me that there isn't any of the usual sounds that echo through the hallways.I can't hear any of the annoying whispers that follow the guards, nor can I hear the eerie drip of the dew that falls from the stone ceiling.

It's piercingly quiet, so quiet, that the quietness itself seems to be screaming for attention. No matter how many times I would fervently wished for the guard to shut up, I would never wish for it to be this quiet. It's too...Strange.

I hum in a attempt to break the silence, but I hear no sounds escape from my mouth.Trying not to panic, I press my hand against my throat and feel the usual rumbling that comes along with humming.I gently press my finger against my lips, only to feel breath that was desperately trying not to become frantic.

Still humming I lift my hands up to my ears, probing and squeezing them, trying to make sure they were still intact and functioning. From what I could feel, there was no abnormalities. But I still could not hear the humming that was growing louder.

Panicking, I was looking around for any explanation only to miss the guard that had barged in the room, screaming. When I had finally noticed him, my eye grew round in shock and I immediately grew stiff.

The guard was standing there, pointing at me furiously. His mouth rapidly forming words, but not having any sound escape his lips.
