Chapter 1.1 - 1: How my family survives

1: How my family survives

My younger brother Franz was also ruined at the boarding school.

Fortunately, Franz returned home, but during the tea time of the troubled family it quickly turned into a heavy atmosphere.

“It’s nothing special. It was a perfume bottle. I want to see Hertz…”

Franz, who turned fifteen this year, worked tirelessly as if nothing had happened to him. However, he was not making any eye contact with any of our the family members.

She smiled bitterly and tried to lighten the heavy atmosphere.

“Yeah, I’ve been out of town for a long time, and I miss my house. Isn’t that right?”

However, the crumpled beauty of Marquis Vesta did not know what had happened. *

“I don’t know what happened, but it’s not good to leave without permission. Go ahead and return to the dorm”, said our Father Marquis Vesta calmly. At this time, I was probably the only person who saw Franz’s eyes shaking.

Franz opened his mouth, struggling barely with a trembling chin.

“Father! I’ll go back after a little while. Heh, I’m worried about Hertz’s health. Also, I’m looking at work while I’m home… “

The face of the father, who had no choice, was a spectacle.

“Don’t worry, the cat is being taken care of by the deacon. Do not let me send a messenger to the Kratier boarding school.”

As if he had nothing more to say, my father rose from his seat.

“Oh, Father! I’ll stay a little bit. Please… .”

Despite Franz’s begging, his father turned coldly.

Then I saw it. Franz’s slender wrists hidden by the sleeves of his uniform, which followed his father’smovement. My brother’s wrist was stained with blue bruises.

Franz, who noticed my gaze, hurriedly lowered his sleeve and tried to hide the wounds. The hands of my younger brother shivered.

If I remain silent here, Franz will return to the Kratie Boarding School. And it will all happen as told in the story. And our family…

“Franz, would you like to take off your clothes for a second?”

I put the mug down and ordered my younger brother with a sweet face.

“Sister? Oh, why my clothes?”

Franz stepped back with his arms around his chest. I grabbed a mug and glanced at the servants who were waiting at the door. They approached Franz in a hurry.

“Sorry, Master.”

He bowed his head to Franz and began to take off his jacket of the Kratier boarding school uniform.

“Take off all your shirts.”

“Oh no, don’t do this!”

Despite Franz’s shout, the servants took off Franz’s uniform.

When his naked upper body was revealed, the Marquis and Marquess of Vesta were shocked.

This is because Franz’s body was spotted with wounds and bruises. Some bruises appeared on the previous day, turned red, some turned purple, and some turned black because or dried blood. They were all done by the same cadets.

“Argh, Franz!”

The mother’s screams echoed.

Perhaps this is the time when Franz is the most bullied in the boarding school.

The mother was shocked by her son’s wounds and began to weep.

“What are all these wounds? Who did it?”, asked the furious Marquis of Vesta Franz.

“Please tell me from which house children are!”

But Franz shook his head and said nothing.

“You dare to make my son look like this. I’ll go to Kratier right away.”

Franz bent on his knees and prayed to the ancestors of Marquis Vesta.

“No, please don’t. Father, please!”

Franz’s begging made his father frown.

“You guys are really …. Why didn’t you use [Shuette]? If you had used [Shuette], it wouldn’t have happened!”

Franz bowed his head like a sinner and said nothing.

“Stop it, honey! To a scarred child… .”

Her mother hugged Franz’s slender torso.

The child who will be the successor of the Vesta family was being bullied by the students at the boarding school.

He sighed and began to smoke again, which had been suspended for a while.

At this moment, if it weren’t for me, the scars on Franz’s body would not have been revealed to my parents.

Franz would have spent the night at home, as if nothing had happened.

And after that he would have controlled his emotions and returned to the Kratie boarding school.

At least that was the future I knew. But it shouldn’t have been that way.

For Franz, for my family, and for myself.

I tried a second intervention, holding on to the moment that was going as it was originally. My heart was pounding with fear of the future.

“Father, mother! I have something to tell you.”
