.

The highest among the three was only level 6, and killing them would not benefit Ray in any way.

Rather than that, Ray was thinking about making them his contract monster.

What his Dungeon lacked the most was the presence of the monster inside the Dungeon.

The price of Monster Gacha was way too high, and Ray was not able to afford them now.

Therefore, seeing three cute little hounds in front of him, Ray immediately thanked his luck.

He looked at the three wary battle hounds and squatted while giving them his best smile.

" Little dog, how about joining our Dungeon? There will be food and water there. You wouldn't need to be afraid of being hungry anymore."

*Silence*

" *Sigh*, No response, huh. It seemed I still need to do it the hard way..."

Ray shook his head helplessly. Even though he knew it was hard to recruit the battle hounds based on words alone, he still wanted to try before.

Now that the verbal recruitment had failed, Ray had no other choice.

" Heed my call, Freed!"

A big portal appeared next to Ray and Freed emerged from it.

Ray's plan was actually to let Freed tame the three battle hounds. On Monsters like them, the suppression of bloodline was inevitable, and it would be easier if he just let Freed suppress the three battle hounds.

" What do you need my help for, Ray?"

As Freed came out from the portal, he looked at Ray with a slightly lazy expression. He had just laying around when Ray called him before, so it was unavoidable that Freed was a bit annoyed.

" Tame those three battle hounds for me, and I promise to cook you one food of your choice."

" Really? That's a promise then!"

Hearing Ray's promise, Freed's laziness immediately disappeared.

Since the day Ray cooked the food for Bintang, Freed had always dreamt about Ray's food every night, but Ray was stingy enough to not cook for him until now.

Freed didn't wait anymore and quickly rushed in the direction of the three battle hounds, afraid that Ray would retract his promise.

" *Chuckles* This guy, if he could always be this diligent..."

Ray sighed inwardly at Freed conduct, but he didn't stay long.

The matter about the three battle hounds has been left to Freed, so now he also needs to do his own part.

He proceeded to leave the first room and enter the second room where the Dungeon core resides.

For a newbie dungeon like this, where there was no Boss monster,Rayy didn't need to defeat the boss to enter the Dungeon core room.

He just walked through the passage, and voila, in front of him was the Dungeon core.

Ray placed his hand on the Dungeon core and began the process of making the Dungeon his subsidiary dungeon.

" System, I want to accept this Dungeon as my subsidiary."

[ DING!!! The subsidiary process has been completed.]

[ Congratulations on gaining your first subsidiary Dungeon!]

Along with the notifications, Ray felt like a subtle change had happened inside his body.

Particles of light suddenly began gathering in front of Ray as the connection betweenRayy, and the subsidiary dungeon was given physical form. The light faded just as quickly as it appeared and revealed a translucent tattoo inRay'ss left hand.

Ray tried to shake his hand several times, and other than the translucent tattoo, there was no big change on his left hand.

" Well, at least it wouldn't hinder me in any way."

Ray observed the tattoo for a few more seconds before he eventually decided to shake it off.

He was just about to leave the Dungeon core room and check Freed's progress in taming the three battlegrounds outside when he saw a new notification coming,

[ DING!!! Congratulations on getting your first subsidiary Dungeon. A special reward will be issued.]

[ Reward: Monster Gacha box.]

All of a sudden, a small diamond box appeared in front of Rayy. The box was small and simple, but Ray could feel that something strong was hidden inside it.

All Ray needed to do was to place his hand in the small diamond box and press the button in the middle of the box.

ZING!!!! The box emitted a golden light and revealed a creature with a short and golden body about 40 cm long.

It was a slightly bigger bee at first sight, but after some moment of observation, Ray noticed that there was some difference between this bee and the normal bee.

This one only has four legs instead of six and lacks pigment pits. His head is round with a slightly pointed mouth, large, red eyes, and black antennae with a sharp bend in the middle.

Nonetheless, the most appealing part of this bee was his stinger which looked like a spear.

The stinger shone in bluish golden light, and it gave some sense of danger even to Ray.

.

[ Lancer-Bee]

[ Rarity: 4-star.]

[ Species: Lancer-Bee]

[ Lv: 3]

[ A Monster bee with a very lethal striking potency. Treat you as his master.]

.

" Not bad. It seemed that I have found the boss of this Dungeon."

Ray gave the monster, the bee, a bit of a poke. It was a bit annoyed at first, but after seeing that it was only Ray, the bee docilely acceptedRay'ss poking.

The bee seemed to recognize Ray as its master, as it responded to Ray's action by playfully latching onto his hand. The bee was adorable. It was so cute that Ray couldn't help but think of it as something along the lines of a domesticated pet.

"You know what? I'm going to give you a name." Ray paused for a moment to think before continuing. "Alright. Your name will be Mentari."

Mentari might be weak now, but Ray didn't mind.

Having a boss monster to guard his Dungeon was better than not having anything. Furthermore, Ray could just do it like how he dealt with the chickens.

Finding some flowers or fruits that could help the growth of Mentari and evolve it later.

Now that Mentari is here, Ray was not that hurried to leave the Dungeon Core room. He decided to make a plan about the Dungeon first before eventually checking Freed's progress.

" Okay, let's make more room!"

Ray's first thought was immediately to make more rooms in the Dungeon.

He still had some DM Currencies to spare, and it wouldn't hurt to upgrade this Dungeon a bit.

He dungeon map from the system panel.

The current Dungeon only has one room beside the Dungeon Core room, and Ray planned to at least add five more rooms.

One click and the terrain of the Dungeon had changed.

The room was still positioned in a straight line, but it was a lot better than before.

" Currently, there were only about four monsters in this Dungeon, so I guess one room for each monster, huh?"

Ray made a plan on his mind where he allocated the room for each monster.

It was a common fact that Monsters would get respawned when they died in the Dungeon, so there was no need to be afraid that his Dungeon would be out of monsters.

" There are still two empty rooms left. I guess this is where I would be planting some crops."

And so, Ray spent the rest of the day thinking about what kind of crops to plant here, or at least that was what he intended. The map shot opened when he was about to finish choosing the type of crops. A signal appeared that said intruders had entered the Dungeon.

Some red dots suddenly appeared in the Dungeon entrance, so Ray quickly use the system panels to check it out.

There, he saw some drunk delinquents with iron bars on their hands. Their face looked so red indicating that they were drunk, and from the look, it seemed they entered this Dungeon by accident.

.

[ Burly looking thug 1]

[ Lv. 1]

.

[ Burly looking thug 2]

[ Lv. 1]

.

[ Leader thug]

[ Lv. 13]

.

There was five delinquent who entered the Dungeon, and other than the leader who was at level thirteen, all of them were at level one, meaning that none of them was an awakener.

Ray at first thought that he would let them be and use them as material to gain some DM Currencies, but the expression on his face immediately changed when he saw the last person behind those delinquents.

" Those bastards are not human!!!"

It was the first time Ray ever felt this angry for someone else unrelated to him.

Behind the delinquents was a pretty decent-looking girl. Her face was very pale, and there was a trace of blood in her mouth.

Her eyes looked haggard as if she didn't have any will to live, and to make it worse, she seemed to be a few months old pregnant.

" Don't tell me that these guys had raped the girl and now wanted to force her to commit abortion.."

After the era of awakening, the rules of the world had changed.

Awakeners gained many special privileges that many normal humans could not compare.

Ray could go and try to report this to the officials, but his report had a 70% chance of being ignored, saying that he should close one eye on the conduct of an awakener.
