Chapter 89 - Ch 89 : Business Negotiation

" Get away from him, Alyssa!"

Ellen, who was watching Alyssa flirting with Ray, immediately got her temper into her head.

She had been in the line for far longer than Alyssa, so how could she let Alyssa get ahead of her?

Nonetheless, Alyssa didn't care about Ellen's statement and even tightened her grip on Ray's hand.

The temptation of the pudding was way too high, and she really didn't want to miss the chance.

" Hmm, what is this? Didn't you say that you and Ray were not lovers before? If that's the case, then why are you being so angry when I act intimate with Ray?"

Ellen wanted to refute, but her words stuck in her throat.

Indeed, she had said that Ray was not her lover before, so why should she be angry when Alyssa got closer to Ray?

She hesitated and was about to let them be. But when she looked at Ray's face, Ellen immediately got determined.

( No, I must not let someone get ahead of me.)

The first time Ellen and Ray met was when the latter saved Ellen from some brute. And the two had only gotten so much closer since then.

" Let him go, Alyssa! Let him go before I get mad!" Ellen's tone was full of indifference, but Alyssa could see her rage beneath.

" Ehh... but weren't you the one that says that..."

" I previously said that Ray was not my lover, right? Sorry, that was a lie."

At this moment, Ellen walked in Ray's direction and planted a small kiss on Ray's cheek while holding his arm around her breast.

" Ray is my lover, and I don't want you to get that close to him!"

Ray and Alyssa were fully dumbstruck now.

Alyssa never thought that Ellen would be this bold, while Ray thought this woman was a psycho.

If Bis Sis witnessed this scene, he would be sleeping outside tonight.

Among the four people in the room, only Elin had stars on her eyes.

She liked Ray, but she would also be happy if Ray was to become her dad.

Elin jumped between Ray and Alyssa and quickly separated the two.

" Yeah, Ray-nii is my mom's, so you should give up!"

Under the pressure of two women, Alyssa had no other choice but to let go.

She had a bit of disappointment on her face, but thinking that it was Ellen, she got calmed down soon enough.

The situation got a bit calmer after the women made their own stances, and now all four of them got back to their seats, ready to discuss the business matter.

" Now, let's talk about business."

" Yeah.."

When the two women sit across each other, Ray could feel that the tension began to rise once more.

The two were old friends, but they still wanted to benefit from this business.

" I'll talk first. For the pudding, how much can you generate in a month, and how long could they be stored?"

Alyssa didn't beat around the bush and directly went into the main topic.

The pudding was good, but if the product was limited, the price would be lower.

Ray looked at Ellen as if trying to gain approval. And only after Ellen nodded that he begin to talk.

" I could make more than 50 puddings a day, and other than puddings, I also have other food variants. The pudding itself could only be stored for at most a week, but if you wanted to, I could make other types of food with a longer storing duration."

" Really???"

Ray's words just now had truly shocked Alyssa. Her eyes were brimming with stars as she knew that this was definitely a golden egg.

The pudding before was even better than some small portion, and if Ray could give her more than 50 puddings a day, her family's awakener would have a big upper hand against other families.

Alyssa quickly makes a calculation in her head. She tried to find the best amount she could offer so that the offer would not dissatisfy Ray nor hurt her family that much.

" Three million! I will offer you three million dollars a year for 300 puddings every week!"

" Humph, so you are not taking me seriously? It's okay. We just need to act that this negotiation never existed before."

" Wait, I'm just kidding! It's not three million; it's ten million a year!"

" Hehe, that's good. Ten million a year is a bit acceptable!"

The two women have their eyes locked at each other. It was a common occurrence in a business negotiation. But for Ray who never witnessed such a scene, he felt like his view of the world was currently being reversed.

When Alyssa first offered three million dollars a week, Ray had almost said yes.

Three million was not small for someone like him, and it could definitely support the orphanage.

But he never thought that after one sentence from Ellen, the value of three million had directly increased into ten million.

Ray started to question himself. Should he really be here and watch all this scene?

As the two women talked, they continued to negotiate the term of the contract.

Five minutes later, the value had been increased to fifteen million a year, but it was not without reason.

The contract that Alyssa wanted from Ray was an exclusive contract, and Ray could not supply his product to other families.

This would definitely change Ellen's plan where she wanted to make Ray acquainted with the high-class society by selling his food. Therefore, Alyssa offered another five million increase in price, to which Ellen reluctantly agreed.

The connection was great, but the allure of five million was way too much.

Adding that to the fact that Ellen actually wanted to hog Ray all to herself had just made this decision became a lot easier.

Two hours later, the contract was all finished, and Alyssa brought the copy which was signed by both Ray and her into her bag.

It was just a piece of paper, but Alyssa treated it like a treasure.

" Hehe, then I'll be going off now. Please don't forget your part of the deal!"

Alyssa looked at Ray with her eyes turned crescent.

The image of a leecher has been long gone, and now Ray's face was very pleasant to see.

" Oh, and please feel free to visit my family! This Big Sis would give you special treatment if you ever come to visit."

Along with that words, Alyssa stood up and left the restaurant. The business had been done, and there was no other reason for her to stay there any longer.

In fact, she could see that Ellen was already on the limit of her patience, and who knows what Ellen would do if that limit were to be breached.

' Ray, huh, what an interesting one. Maybe Eve would be interested in him.'

. . . . . .

Not long after Alyssa left, Ray also said his goodbye.

Elin tried to keep him with her, saying that he could stay the night, but Ray rejected her politely.

He said that he still needs to take care of the other kids, and Ray promised to stay with Elin the other time.

Even though she was full of reluctance, Elin eventually let Ray go.

Her eyes were red, but she became a bit calmer after Ray said he would give her a special gift when they met later.

Now that the business discussion had been done, Ellen transferred the downpayment of the deal to Ray.

Ray actually told Ellen that this was a joint cooperation between them, so Ellen should also take some part of the down payment. But Ellen rejected, saying that Ray really treated her as an outsider if he thought like that.

In the end, Ray could only thank Ellen and said that he would treat her for a special dinner later.

Ray's bank account now had more than three million dollars in it.

A significant amount which he never thought he would ever see in his life.

If it was before he became a Dungeon Master, Ray would definitely tremble when he held this amount of money, But now he was very calm.

In fact, he could just bring all the orphanage's little guys in the Morningwood Dungeon. But he refrain from doing so as he still wanted the little guys to live their life normally.

Ray had known how hard it was to live without parents, and he wanted the little guys to enjoy their life as much as they could, without giving them any burden to keep the Dungeon as a secret.

Leaving the fancy restaurant, Ray didn't immediately go back to the orphanage.

He stopped at a nearby fried chicken restaurant and bought a huge bucket full of fried chicken.

The orphanage was not short of money right now, but the little guys would still need some time for the adjustment period.

Directly giving them fancy food like truffles of foie grass would only shock them, and it didn't necessarily mean good for them.
