Chapter 88:Perfect Timing

The following week Lana was caught up in meetings with the administrator of her mother's estate. Linda Logan left her entire estate to her only daughter, including an insurance pay-out of close to twenty million. The lawyer advised her that the bulk of the money had been left by her father, but since her mother passed on it all belonged to her. There was a lot of paperwork to be done so Jordan had summoned Barry to help out with all the legal stuff. When they had wrapped up everything Jordan whisked her away to Seychelles for a much-needed vacation.

They checked into a resort set on the west coast, on a secluded beachfront a few miles away from the Seychelles National Botanical Gardens and Marine National Park. The villa was on an over-water hillside over-water with a panoramic ocean view, a balcony, casual furnishings, and traditional artwork, plus flat-screen TVs and whirlpool tubs; a private pool and room service were available. Amenities included an infinity pool and sundeck, a steam room, a game room, and a yoga studio. There was also a spa, a restaurant, and a bar.

"Did I say thank you for doing this?" Lana looped her arms around her husband's neck, a look of contentment on her face.

"Only a couple of hundred times..." Jordan's lips curled upwards as he put his hands on her hips.

"Well thanks again babe...for everything.." He could plainly see the look of gratitude from the girl he loved. "You've been so supportive throughput this whole-mess... and I don't know what I would have done without Carter...I can't find words to express how grateful I am."

"Then maybe you can show me..." he pulled her closer and wiggled his eyebrows. "You know what they say..actions speak louder than words."

The feeling provoked by the embrace showed plainly in her next words. "Careful what you wish for Carter..." she cautioned as she pushed him onto the bed. He fell back as soon as the back of his legs hit the edge.

"Oh, I was very meticulous with this one.." His tone was hardly louder than a whisper but spoken with great distinctness.

"Is that so..?" She tantalized, her hair fell like a curtain the tips caressing his face.

As she leaned over him, he smiled faintly and imprinted a kiss upon her lips. "Why don't you stop talking and show me your appreciation?" He rasped; his eyes were clouded with desire, his voice smooth as cream.

He drew her closer and kissed her softly on her lips but when she darted her tongue in his mouth that was his undoing. His nose rubbed the side of her face as he nuzzled her neck shifting into a position to accept her kiss.

"If you keep kissing me like that we're not going to get out of this bed today.." Jordan could barely get out the words between gasping breaths, as she climbed on top of him and straddled him.

"Is there somewhere you need to be Mr Carter?" Her breath fanned out over his forehead in a warm puff before she kissed the skin between his brows, nose, and then his lips. She slipped his t-shirt over his head then tossed her long black waves back.

"Noo...I think I'm right where I need to be.." He flashed her a seductive smile as she pushed him flat on the bed, before he knew it her mouth was on him again.

The next morning when they were having breakfast on the balcony, there was a loud knock at the door.

"I'll get it." Jordan said as he put his drink aside and strode to the door.

"Come in. Please.." He said with a smile, but with some sarcasm in his tone.

"Hey, guys!" Lana exclaimed as she pushed back her chair. "What a nice surprise!" They exchanged pleasantries and milled around the breakfast table.

"We're on time for breakfast-great!" James grabbed a plate immediately and started to help himself to the food.

"You really need to order more food JC-this is not going to go very far." Jones remarked as he poured himself a cup of coffee.

"We just landed and we're ravenous!" Kyle underlined as his fingers ruffled Jordan's hair into a dissipated untidiness.

"Will you stop that!" Jordan smacked his hands away.

"It's on now.." Kyle smirked as he put him in a headlock. "Show me what you got boy?" They began to tussle in the sitting room until Kyle had Jordan pinned to the floor.

"You win!"

"Thought so!" Kyle chuckled as he rose to his feet and help his friend up.

"I'm married to a man-child.." Maya groaned as she grabbed a banana from the fruit basket.

"Guess that makes two of us." Lana replied with an eye-roll.

Another knock resounded and this time it was room service. "Thank you for being so prompt." Jones tipped the server as he left.

"What are you all doing here?" Lana glanced around the table. "Don't get me wrong-I love having you guys around-"

"We just thought we would come and spend some time with you-since we were away when..you know.." Lisa shrugged with a smile and an evasive reply.

"Thanks for being here guys. I know how busy all are." Her eyes traveled around the table again. "I really appreciate you coming out all this way."

"That's what friends are for right?" James added with a wink.

"So what's the plan for today?" Lana asked with a glow of enthusiasm.

"We're going to have some girl time!" Olivia exclaimed, eyes flashing with excitement.

"A spa treatment-manis, pedis, shopping-the works!" Lisa gushed.

"I'd totally love that!" She turned to Jordan seeking permission. "If that's okay with you babe...?"

"I'm totally cool with that baby." He replied as he kissed her cheek. "I think I could hang with these juveniles for a while." He indicated to his friends.

"I guess I'll go and get ready then." Lana drained her fruit juice and excused herself from the table.

"Now that she's gone..." Jordan glanced at the closed bedroom door, "Is everything in order?" he inquired in a low whisper.

Everyone nodded silently, as he seemed to expect an answer in the affirmative.

"Then let's get to work." He declared. "You all know what to do right?"

The crew disbanded and set their plan in motion.
