Chapter 51:#RelationshipGoals

At the ER the doctor on call said no bodily harm had been done to Lana-much to Jordan's relief. The doctor said she didn't need to be admitted and would just have to sleep it off, so he took her home in her passed-out state. He was glad that she wouldn't remember any of this tomorrow although she had to deal with the shock of losing her long, beautiful hair. Jordan loved her hair and was still getting used to the fact that she didn't have it anymore. Guess a trip to the barber was in order-for both of them.

Maybe it would be better if he got someone to trim her hair into a presentable hairstyle while she was still knocked out. At least the impact of losing her hair wouldn't be so bad when she woke up to face reality.

"Ryan? I need you to get Michelle over here now."

"JC it's like two in the morning dude-"

"What's your point? I'll be expecting you in the next twenty minutes."

Ryan and Michelle made it in record time. Jordan led them straight to his room and Michelle gasped when she saw the abhorrent state of Lana's hair.

"Who did this?!" she put her hand over her mouth. "All that beautiful-lovely hair..oh no! This is just so..terrible.." She trailed her palm over Lana's head as a great cry of repudiation and horror burst from her lips. "College students can be so mean sometimes!"

"So you're going to fix her up right?" Jordan peered into the grim face of the stylist; there was not a flicker of a smile in it.

"I'm probably going to need you to prop her up to give me better access." Michelle stroked her chin thoughtfully. "I'm thinking an iconic Halle Berry pixie cut? Maybe color it to a nice mahogany brown? It's the best I can do with this mess!" She gestured helplessly.

"Okay let's do it." Jordan was ready to acquiesce in all his stylist said as to do damage control. "when you're done with her then I'd like you to do mine as well."

"You want to cut your hair?" Ryan's manner showed some surprise.

"Yeah. I'd like you to color it the same shade as hers too. I don't want her to feel any worse than she already does." With an undefined feeling, Jordan looked at the countenance of his wife.

"But your platinum hair is like your signature-your trademark-" Ryan hastened to interject.

"Then maybe it's time for a change." Jordan sanctioned with resolute confidence.

"You're the boss." Ryan pondered a bit, but eventually, not to be behind, conceded.

"Let's get the show on the road." Michelle whipped out all her equipment from her bag of tricks and a touch of cheerfulness appeared in her tones as she proceeded. "You're sure she's not going to wake up in the middle of this? She will probably freak out!"

"I'm sure. The doctor assured me that she will be out for the next 12 hours."

"What did they give her?!"

"You don't want to know," Jordan muttered.

There wasn't much hair left so she did a quick work of leveling the uneven ends. Jordan and Ryan became Michelle's assistants purely by default but they didn't seem to mind. They were in awe of her skills and understood why she was the most sought after stylist in Hollywood. Angelo was on standby and provided food and drink to keep them going. Jones joined the party at a later stage and briefed them on what happened after Jordan left.

"I want everyone responsible for this to be expelled." Jordan was miffed.

"It was Cassie and Victoria. They orchestrated the whole thing.-including drugging her." Jones reported.

"Anyone that cut even one strand of her hair should be held accountable. I'm not going to let this slide Jay." His blue eyes darkened, and his fists could be seen to clench with much meaning.

"We got everything on video so it shouldn't be too difficult. We can go and see the principal first thing on Monday morning."

"I'm done dying her hair. Now we need to wash it." Michelle declared. "Can you help me with that JC?"

"I'm going to crash. I'll see you all tomorrow-later I mean." Jones mumbled as he left the room.

Jordan lifted Lana of the winged chair and followed Michelle into the bathroom. Once all the dye was washed out of Lana's hair, it was blow-dried and styled to perfection. Jordan asked Michelle to help him change Lana into her PJs and they put her back into the bed where she was resting comfortably. She worked on Jordan's hair immediately after and had another very satisfied client.

"You actually look-nice. Rugged-but nice. I like it." Ryan grunted his approval.

"I don't mean to blow my own horn but..am I good or am I good?" Michelle gloated.

"Oh you're better than good Mich. You're a legend." Jordan grinned as he put her in a headlock and ruffled her blonde hair, then delivered a bear hug that nearly crushed her ribs.

"Okay! Okay! Enough!" She squealed in between little laughs and screams.

"Hey! Stop manhandling my wife." Ryan protested in a sleep-deprived voice.

"I don't even know how to thank you, Mich. You are a life-saver." He enthused. Their eyes swept over Lana's face again-who was oblivious of the concerned looks cast in her direction.

"I'm just glad I could help out JC. Hope she likes her new hairdo." Michelle started to pack up her stuff as the sun's rays began to peek through the sky. "Don't worry about the check. This one was on the house."

"Sorry-no can do. I'm going to pay you double for this. You went out of your way-and I dragged you out of bed when you could have been enjoying a good round of morning glory right now." He punched Ryan on the shoulder.

"You're so crass JC." Ryan shook his head and laughed.

"Don't let me keep you any longer." He rubbed his hands together as he gave them a crooked smile. "Let me walk you guys out so that you can jump right back in between the sheets."

Jordan returned to the bedroom and stripped off his clothes and remained in his boxers. He dived under the covers and cuddled Lana. As an afterthought he took out his phone, snapped a pic of them huddled together and posted it on social media.
