Chapter 464 - Soul Treasure Seed?

It had been a very long time since Jiang He had a gift pack.

Still, he got the general idea after a look at the System notification…

The gift packs were distributed according to different periods.

First, he received the Great Starter Pack, followed by his one-week and one-month gift pack… now that he had a one-anniversary gift pack, would what follows be the ten-anniversary gift pack and hundred-year gift pack? Or could it be the thousand-year or ten-thousand-year gift pack?

Noticing that Jiang He was spacing out, Jin Sidao, who was standing nearby, asked carefully, “Are you alright, Mister Jiang?”

“I’m fine.”

Regaining his senses, Jiang He turned toward the distance.

At the faraway horizon, Wang Hou was fighting the three Golden Immortals at once, pitting his bare-hands against their premium-grade immortal items without being disadvantaged. Having assumed the path of Martial Dao, his physique was robust and his qi powerful, keeping him unscathed even against the godly moves of Golden Immortals.

On the other hand, the three Golden Immortals were losing.

Even with their godly techniques and immortal armors protecting their bodies, they would be maimed if they were struck by Wang Hou’s fists.

Worse, this was only because Wang Hou was not still drawing upon the authority of the Star Map, or he would have instantly overwhelmed the trio.

“I did not expect that Minister Wang is this powerful!”

Jin Sidao was left in wonder. Turning to Jiang He, he could not help asking, “Mister Jiang, who is stronger between you and Minister Wang?”

However, finding his question rather inappropriate, he promptly apologized after asking.

“It’s fine.”

Chuckling, Jiang He mused to himself for several seconds before he answered seriously, “Before I ascended to Grand Luo, Minister Wang would have been able to use the authority of the Star Map to suppress me. However, now that I’ve ascended, the Star Map is no more than an inanimate object despite being one of the greatest treasures there is. As such, Wang Hou would lose out a little since he is unable to utilize the advantage of the Star Map.”

Argh!

A scream echoed then.

Wang Hou had beaten one of the Golden Immortals into pieces just then.

The Golden Immortal’s Yuan Spirit was screaming and promptly darted toward the distance to escape, cursing viciously, “Wang Hou! I will get my revenge for the destruction of my immortal body and my sect’s legacy!”

Wang Hou tried to kill off the Yuan Spirit as well, but was stopped by the other two Golden Immortals.

Fuming, he invoked the Star Map. A restraining force promptly descended from the skies, catching hold of the Yuan Spirit and the two Golden Immortals holding him back.

Boom!

Boom!

Two punches, and two Golden Immortals were reduced to pieces.

Their Yuan Spirits were then crushed under Wang Hou’s profound qi and Martial Dao Will.

The Yuan Spirit, which had flown a thousand miles away, was then pulled into Wang Hou’s grasp as well.

“The likes of you would dare to curse in my face?”

Wang Hou laughed coldly and violently clenched his fist.

Pow!

The Yuan Spirit blew up into pieces.

Withdrawing his Martial Dao Yuan Spirit and aura, Wang Hou stood upon thin air and looked around him with a faint smile. “Starting today, only the Ten Thousand Swords Sect and the Jiuhua Sect may spread their teachings across the Hua Nation. Both sects may send their representatives to discuss the details of the matter with me at Jingdu City.”

“Any other Sect shall not recruit disciples or spread their teachings within Hua Nation borders… any sect found violating that will be destroyed!”

Landing slowly, he then asked with a nonchalant tone, “Is there anyone who disagrees?”

As silence ensued, Jiang He flew toward Wang Hou, laughing as he said, “Minister Wang, you have to nip problems in the bud. Those three Golden Immortals presided over strong sects, and you should wipe them all out to prevent any problems in the future.”

The immortals nearby were even more shocked at those words, with the True Immortals and Heavenly Immortals of those three sects dropping to their knees and begging for mercies.

Staring at them, Jiang He smiled fearsomely. “Blind dogs. Did you reduce your intelligence to dog levels after cultivating for so long? Fine, since the heavens cherish life and I, Jiang He, am a reasonable person, you are all given a single week to leave the Hua Nation. You are free to go anywhere you like, be it outer space or a foreign country… but only death awaits if you dare step foot in the Hua Nation again!”

The many True Immortals and Heavenly Immortals promptly nodded and left.

The immortals of the Ten Thousand Swords Sect and the Jiuhua Sect, on the other hand, appeared utterly delighted.

Both Jiang He and Wang Hou laughed, bidding everyone farewell before quickly leaving.

The other immortals, however, erupted in an uproar after they were gone, with immortals wiling and kneeling before the Eight Immortals. “Please help us, my lords… Wang Hou and Jiang He are too much! Are they not going to cut short the legacy of arts if they do this?”

“There would be no cultivator in just a few hundred years if this continues!”

However, before Lü Dongbin and the others could speak, the Ten Thousand Swords Daoist had already sent that True Immortal who spoke rolling with a kick, pointing at his head and cursing, “You wretch! What was that supposed to mean?”

“The Ten Thousand Swords Sect and the Jiuhua Sect are allowed to spread our teachings in the Hua Nation. Are you cursing our two sects to fall?”

The True Immortal was coughing blood from the kick, but did not even dare to speak a word.

Still, Lü Dongbin, Iron Crutch Li, and the other Golden Immortals were frowning, and a Golden Immortal even whispered, “While we are staying at the celestial battlefield on the long term, this world is still our home. The immortal arts might be lost if this continues…”

That Golden Immortal then turned toward Lü Dongbin, hesitated for a moment and said, “Brother Pure Yang… should we perhaps talk things through with Wang Hou and Jiang He?”

“The commoner’s population are innumerable, and allowing each sect to recruit some disciples is no big deal.”

“You are going to talk to them?”

Lü Dongbin barked, and then seethed, “Our homeworld is fine now, and the Hundred Races would have trouble gathering their forces to attack us again… moreover, with Wang Hou and Jiang He guarding it, not even Grand Luo could best them, let alone Golden Immortals. We’ll be returning to the celestial battlefield soon enough, and it is not up to us to interfere in our homeworld’s development.”

That other Golden Immortal appeared to have more to say, but Lü Dongbin released his aura and glared.

The Golden Immortal promptly quieted.

All the big shots were never to be provoked.

Soon, Iron Crutch Li himself rose to the air, looking around him and saying sonorously, “Fellow Daoists, hear me out.”

The uproar gradually died down and Iron Crutch Li said, “Just as my Fourth Brother had put it, we should not meddle in our homeworld’s future developments.”

“Moreover, the planet’s Fortune Qi and Martial Dao is exuberant, with Wang Hou opening a path for martial arts that connects it to Dao… cultivating immortal arts would become difficult under such circumstances. That much is obvious since various Mahayana elites in our sects were not drawing retributions despite having reached the limit of their cultivation, and unable to become immortal.”

“It might be a good thing for Wang Hou to only permit the Ten Thousand Swords and the Jiuhua Sect to spread their teachings.”

“I would not stop other sects that desire to stay, but I’ll arrange for immortals to escort anyone wishing to leave, journeying across the stars to reach the celestial battlefield.”

***

Right now, Jiang He had already returned home.

Not bothered with the repercussions after Wang Hou overwhelmed and killed the four Golden Immortals, he immediately headed inside his farm upon return, harvesting loads of immortal crystals before looking at his System Backpack.

There was a golden gift pack in the item bar of his System Backpack.

[Ding!]

[Would you open the annual gift-pack?]

[Yes]/[No]

The options popped up before his eyes.

“Yes!”

Jiang He opened the golden gift pack with a thought.

With a golden flash, a fist-sized seed that shone in golden radiance and resembled a sunflower seed landed in his palm.

Jiang He appeared taken aback.

Well…

A pile of information appeared before his eyes then.

[Soul Treasure Seed]

[A soul treasure seed obtained from this System’s gift pack. User gains a random soul treasure after planting.]

A shot and simple introduction that let down Jiang He’s originally hopeful mood.

Tsk…

And here I thought that it would be something good.

Soul treasure seed?

I have as many soul treasures as I need.

That was, unless he could plant an innate soul treasure!

“Hold on…”

“A random soul treasure?”

“Doesn’t that mean the grade of the soul treasure would be random as well???”
