1 Prologue: Just Because...

It is said that the world we live in, is a world full of mysteries. There are ton of things that we do not know about, many questions that need evident answers and even strange occurrences that the study of science cannot explain.

One of the mystifying things about this world is the existence of another dimension called Celestial Realm. This is where the mysterious powerful beings live in---The Immortals.

In that world, there is a Diviner who prophesies every momentous event regarding the whole realm. Once, he predicted that the great relationship of the four major empires of Celestial Realm would go to ruins. In his revelation, there will be great turmoil and war that will occur due to an unexpected circumstance and wrath among them would arise. Well, it's not the first time that this realm would encounter such a conflict. In those instances, a mediator whom the immortals call the "Chosen One" appears every time conflicts arise between the four. Their mission is to pacify and restore things in order, to unite and to bring tranquility and peace in that world.

Thus, a child was born. For this time, she is the chosen one that the Diviner has prophesied to carry out the mission. A young princess from one of the major empires called the "Phoenix Clan". They tried to protect her from the enemy but obviously, everything doesn't go smoothly as planned. The road was a bumpy road with many prickly cactuses.

And so, the Diviner made an arduous decision…

"I'll save you and I won't let anything happen to you!" An agonizing voice that is desperate to save a child in danger came out from the Diviners' trembling lips.

While sitting on his knees in the field of ashes at the Tiger clan's territory, he held onto the bleeding five year old princess tightly. His teary eyes reflect the fire from the burning forest while watching the woods and village houses being engulfed by the raging fire. Eventually, tears flow down on his cheeks.

"Why did this happen!? Why!!!???" After screaming in devastation, he slowly looked at the unconscious princess and gently strokes her face brushing her hair away from it. Looking at the princess's little face full of soot, he close his eyes.

"What should I do? What should I do to keep you safe?"

He then laid his right hand over her wounds. Warm radiant lights came out from his hand and soon after, the burnt from her right shoulder, her bleeding back, and the minor wounds from the rest of her body was then healed.

"Haaa..." The Diviner brought out a sigh of relief.

"I cannot let you continue to live like this. Being in danger every time, locked in an isolated room where no one to talk to and being alone without any friends. Just because we tried to protect you, you did not have the taste of freedom at all. You haven't made a public appearance yet but only those who tried to harm you saw your face so I cannot let you continue in living like this, you might be in graver danger than this! I cannot bear to see the chosen one being harmed like this. You are too young to go through such suffering!" He then squeezed the child who is wrapped in his arms.

While rain of ashes fall in the ground, the fire in their surrounding gradually extinguished.

"Hmm…" The child groaned as she slowly open up her roundish-almond ruby-like colored eyes. She blinked her eyes while slowly letting her vision become clear.

The Diviner immediately reacted, "You regained consciousness!" He was so delighted that right away he hugged the child.

The child recognized him, "P-prophet Eigel?"

"Yes, it's me. The strife is now over." He calmly stated looking at the child with a plastered little smile in his elegant good-looking fair face.

The child started sniffling and eventually, she bawled her eyes out.

"Waaaaaahhh!!! *sniff-sniff* Waaaaaahhh!!!"

Prophet Eigel got flustered instantly. "Ah-ah p-please stop crying."

He put his hand on her head and gently pats it as he comforts the child.

*sniffles*

*sniffles*

The child slowly started to calm down. "My-my parents, where are they?" She suddenly mentioned while tightly holding a part of his silver cloak and making a u-shaped furrow between her eyebrows.

"Don't worry. Your parents are already safe. They are sent back to your kingdom and are now recuperating." He reassured and added, "Can you stand?"

She opens and closes her palms as she is testing whether she can move her joints accordingly now. When she thought that she is already well, she replied "Yes, I think I can now. Thank you, prophet Eigel."

He let the child down and arose. He then cleaned the ashes that were stuck in his clothes. After that, he holds the right hand of the child and suggested, "Let's go to a safer place shall we? I believe that even though the strife was already pacified, there are still eyes watching us."

Stretching her neck to look up, she nodded. "OK"

"Good"

He held the child's hand tightly and closed his eyes. As he was concentrating where to teleport, he saw a hut outside the Tiger clan's territory. It's located in the North which is Turtle clan's abode and the hut looks like no one was living there.

"I found it! Here!"

In a flash, they vanished into thin air and were immediately brought to where the hut is. They were at a dense forest, where the hut is surrounded by giant trees, ferns and mushrooms. The grass and weeds around it is also rough and shaggy like uncombed hair, long and unkempt which keeps the hut from being seen evidently.

All of a sudden, prophet Eigel uttered a question while looking straightly at the child furrowing his eyebrows accompanied with a sincere tone in his voice.

"Princess Fai, do you want to continue living in danger?"

After hearing it, she felt a cold wind went right through her veins. She became numb whilst her eyes shewed soullessness in it. She bit her lower lip and replied with a low voice.

"I-I don't have a choice do I?"

He gulped and averted his eyes from her as if he's feeling sorry for her.

"I'm sorry." A sudden apology came out from his humble mouth.

The child was taken a back about his sudden confession. "W-what are you apologizing for prophet Eigel? Isn't it my calling? I'm the chosen one so I must endure with it. Therefore, no one deserves to apologize nor deserves an apology." She stated while putting a small sad smile in her little face.

His eyes widened upon hearing what she just spoke. It's as if he cannot believe that she, who's just a little child thinks deeply that way, "True. It's all because of your mission that your life is always in the line. But…

(He suddenly stops and looked straightly to her with direct eye contact.)

…It's not your mission to die at all. I won't allow you to die."

Upon hearing that, her face brightened a little and she let out a smile. "Thank you prophet Eigel."

His face suddenly became serious and to no expectation, he stated. "No, don't thank me because in order for you to live, I came up with a decision."

"What do you mean prophet?"

"Sorry, but I need to do this."

*FWEE-WEET*

"Why are you whistling?" Confusingly she asked. But she's having a heavy feeling about what's going to happen. She feels restless but she doesn't know why.

Before he can even reply, there came a flying beautiful scarlet macaw in their hut.

"What is this? Prophet, did you call it?" Again, she asked.

Prophet Eigel extended his right arm on the side as a cue for the scarlet macaw to land on.

*flap-flap-flap*

While the bird is on his arm, he glinted his eyes and began to explain, "Don't resent me for what I am about to do princess. It's all for your own good. I've been telling your parents about this matter but they are reluctant to part with you. But, in order for you to experience freedom and happiness …and for you to live, I'll be transporting you to the mortal world. I'm sorry but I'll be taking your memories for the meantime to conceal your immortal identity so that the enemy will not be able to trace you. I will send this bird right here to be your guardian and be with you all the time."

When she heard that, she felt pulling objects tight across her chest. In her soft, shaky voice she stuttered, "W-w-what? P-p-prophet Eigel what did you just say?" Petrified, she dropped.

Looking at the hopeless princess, he turned away. And in his conscientious thoughts, "I'm sorry princess. It's also hard for me to see you in this state. I know it's hard to accept it but it's the only solution I could think of in order to protect you."

He fixed his eyes to her again and continued his talk, "Don't worry."

She responded right away by his words. "Pardon?"

Unexpectedly, his eyes glowed and the bird with him flew from his arm. *Flap-Flap-Flap*

His whole body was then surrounded by radiant lights. The child was stunned about the sight. Her eyes were fixated on the glowing prophet. "Is he prophesying?"

Suddenly, he uttered a revelation."It'll just a short period of time that you depart from this world. Before the right time comes…when the time you turn eighteen, you'll be back here to fulfill your unfinished mission." After he stated the vision, he gradually went to normal.

"A-are you sure?" She immediately stood up and tugs his cloak.

"Haaaa-*pants*-haaa -*pants*-haaa." He was breathing like he ran in miles. He grabbed the child's hand and immediately opened the mortal world's portal for he sensed that someone is lurking around the area.

"We have to hurry *pants* we have no time!" He laid his hand on the child's head. The child was so weak to retaliate and after a minute…she lost consciousness."
