Chapter 55 - Path Mission!

Kayn, Raditz, and Gohan appeared in the bas.e.m.e.nt of Kayn's business, the one with the Pad that is. Raditz scanned the room and saw many Saibamen at work. Gohan was spooked when he saw many of these scary looking green men.

"S-Saibamen?" Raditz remembered Kayn mentioning that he used Saibamen to produce food for himself when he was alone on Derail 7.

"Oh, yeah, I'll be using them for business on this planet. After all, this will be our home from now on, so we need to be a little bit more civil about things." Kayn walked over to the Teleportation Pad.

Gohan was a smart kid for his age and understood what Kayn was saying, so he felt a little bit more at ease hearing these things. Raditz didn't comment, but he thought taking what he wanted was better than being nice about it.

"Let's go, I have to come back here really quicky to settle one thing." Kayn was carrying Gohan with one arm as he instructed Raditz to come over.

"This Pad is special, it was also something I stole from Frieza. There were 3 of them in a set that could lead to 2 other locations." Kayn explained, "This Pad will lead us to another planet where some places have a strong gravitational force."

Raditz looked at the Pad speechlessly, how much did he steal from Frieza?

"You first." Kayn backed away and said. Raditz walked over the Pad and it flashed for a second before Raditz disappeared on it.

Gohan was naturally shocked seeing this.

Kayn walked over the Teleportation Pad as well, and they both appeared in a cave. Raditz was still standing and looking around. Before Raditz could comment, Kayn touched his shoulder and they appeared in front of his old house.

"T-this is?" Raditz stepped back to get a better view of the structure.

"It's the old house mom, me, and dad stayed in." Kayn scanned the planet and found that Bardock and Gine were not present. King Kai also didn't have them accompanying him, so he concluded that they were more than likely on their way to earth.

"....." Raditz sighed deeply.

"Anyway, your training starts now, you have just under a year to make some progress. The first thing we need to do is... change your clothes." Kayn smiled faintly before pointing his finger at Raditz.

Suddenly, Raditz's wardrobe changed. He was now wearing maroon black armor with orange outlining the c.h.e.s.t and stomach part of it. His pants were similar to Goku's but all black instead; this was the same for his new boots.

Raditz looked at his new change of clothes with wide eyes. Just how strong did Kayn get over the years? Raditz really felt that he had lived a slave's life over the years with no accomplishments worth mentioning.

Kayn nodded and smiled deeply until his eyes turned into crescents, showing he was very satisfied with this new look.

Gohan was similarly dumbfounded. He couldn't help but think that his mom would really love such a skill. "Okay, we'll start with the basics, I really want to teach you Ki control, but I guess you'll have to learn as we go."

"Ki Control?" Raditz looked confused.

"Ki control, or energy Control. You can call it whatever you want, this allows a user to sense other's energy signatures or life force. This was one of the reasons why Piccolo and Kakarot were able to find you when you kidnapped this guy."

Kayn gave a brief explanation to both of them, with them only nodding constantly as to understand.

"So, you have 3 options, you can learn this as well. Second, you can just focus on your strength for the time being, or third, you can work solely on Ki Control and Ki Senses now." Kayn sat Gohan down while speaking.

"Dang, it." Raditz really needed strength fast, he really wanted to put Anya in her place when he saw her.

"I need strength now, so I'll learn the Ki Control and Senses later." Raditz declared.

"Alrighty then. Let's start, shall we." Kayn pointed his finger at Raditz again and yelled out. A strong wind came from his finger, along with a strange force.

"W-what the..." Suddenly, Raditz felt a great weight wearing him down. The ground beneath him showed cracks. Kayn had already told them what exercises they needed to do, so they were very informed.

Kayn didn't put too much weight on him. Raditz slowly walked away and started his exercises.

Kayn's attention was now on Gohan.

"As for you, we'll start with the basics while training along the way." Gohan nodded swiftly with a little sweat on his face.

Kayn turned his head and whistled. At that moment, the ground shook, then several Saibamen emerged from it. Gohan was shocked seeing the Saibamen appear all of a sudden, as he took a step back subconsciously.

"Here's how this is going to work, we'll work on your Ki Senses first." Kayn signaled the rest of the Saibamen to return while he told 2 to stay.

"These Saibaman will dig 10 holes, you have to focus and try to find which hole one of the Saibamen is in. This Saibaman here will monitor your progress, he will count how many times you've failed and passed."

As the 2 Saibamen were creating the holes, he briefly explained how Ki Senses worked again. Gohan suddenly looked serious, this way of training seemed like more of a game than anything else. But this is what Kayn was gunning for, it didn't have to be harsh training all of the time.

Of course, that was for later.

Afterward, Kayn returned back to his shop and went upstairs. He called one of the workers over to deliver a letter to Bulma's house. Kayn wrote a few things, then he put his family picture inside for her, this could be used against Bardock and Gine if they... for some reason didn't comply with them.

He told the worker that he would give him a bonus on his check if he could have this letter delivered in 2 days. The worker was naturally elated hearing this and got down to business immediately.

Kayn had to do a bit of training himself. He had to always remain strong and ahead, it was best to use his knowledge of the future to his advantage. There was no reviving of the Saiyan race; the Saiyans that are alive now were the ones he wanted to reserve if he could.

This would grant him a greater sense of security. Kayn returned back to Derail 7, he wanted to see if he could get to Super Saiyan 3. This was essentially breaking the limit by reaching such a level, at least the mortal Saiyan level.

The system only explained that even if someone had the S-Cells to make it to Super Saiyan 3; they wouldn't necessarily be able to achieve it, in fact, the probability was low.

However, Kayn had a system and even if he didn't have a system, he felt he'd still be able to make it to Super Saiyan, it just wouldn't be as easy. Once Kayn returned, he saw Gohan still practicing close by.

Raditz wasn't that far from Gohan, he was doing push-ups while in his weighted clothes. Kayn warped away into a secluded area to train alone. He wasn't far from Super Saiyan 3 now, he had 370 S-Cells at this point.

As he was training, he suddenly received a notification, no, multiple notifications!

Note-Your actions will correspond with what mission you've picked. This mission isn't optional, as it is something you'll have to face and do anyway.

Looking at the different missions, it all seemed really balanced in what they were giving to him. Honestly, Kayn didn't need Goku to kill Frieza since he could just be killed directly by Bardock or himself.

Kayn wasn't worried about Goku being a Super Saiyan later, though this could set the Z-fighters back by a lot.

"Sigh, What should I do? I could let the Z-fighters go about their business to improve themselves on Namek." Kayn was sadly against this, he didn't want Namek to get destroyed, so he had to have Frieza die right away.

"I guess I'll figure it out later, for now, I'll just continue to train." Kayn sighed lightly. "One of these days, I need to train with my family to make things more interesting."

Kayn trained per usual; he focused on his Ki Control and the Materialization Technique. He wanted to have the ability to form Gold and Silver. This would haul in a lot of money that he could give to Bardock and Gine to sell for themselves to live good.

Kayn's S-Cells suddenly leaped in number, reaching 390! He was close to Super Saiyan 3 now! Kayn knew that once he was qualified for SSJ3, he would need to power up for a long time to reach the form.

Only through training will he be able to instantly change to Super Saiyan 3, but in the meantime, it would take time to transform into it through powering up like Goku's first time transforming on earth.

All 3 of them continued to train, eat, and sleep. Gohan wasn't such a scaredy-cat anymore. His Ki-Senses were good to go in 2 months. Kayn suggested to Raditz that he should learn Ki Control and Senses while training.

Raditz agreed but he still wanted strength right away!

Kayn used the same method he did with Gohan. Raditz thought it was a child's game for him to figure out which hole the Saibaman was in. But he couldn't guess which hole because he couldn't feel or sense anything.

Raditz had no choice but to go along with this method.

Gohan was now being taught, Ki- Control. Gohan was able to pick up on things fast; this made things easier on Kayn. Ki Control required the one in question to focus on and control the energy in their bodies.

Raditz had problems just like Bardock when it came to this. He was too anxious and eager to get things done.

Time passed and 6 months had already gone by at this point.

"Okay, Gohan, it's time to test your combat prowess. You've gotten Ki- Control, and Senses down, so let's move on." Kayn cracked his neck and called Gohan over.

"C-combat? Like fighting?" Gohan was nervous now, he didn't have any fighting experience.

"Of course, like fighting. Do you think we're only doing this to look strong? I'm telling you now, so listen closely, always remember this." Kayn looked at Gohan seriously and said.

At that moment, a yellow Saibaman walked out of the forest.

"First lesson, always train for the next enemy because when you beat one, another is preparing in the shadows. Second lesson, when you're beating an enemy, don't play with him or her, kill him or her off with no mercy. Third and final lesson, peace is a lie! It doesn't exist anywhere, even if it looks like it peaceful."

Gohan looked stunned, then he looked down like he was thinking of something.

"You'll be sparring with this Saibaman, it's quite strong so don't be fooled by its short stature." Kayn looked at the Saibaman.

"You, this is only a spar, no one should be killed or hurt too badly, but someone should catch beating for messing around." The Saibaman nodded slightly and looked at Gohan, it was ready for battle!
