50 Into the Ship

Name:Dragon Ball: New Life Author:draykan
The others joined Raditz near the entrance of the spaceship as the demon king retreated inside. Raditz wasn't interested in following the demon into the ship, he had no reason to. The Emperor backed away from the ship and began to charge twin orbs of Ki in his palms.

"What are you going to do?" the Supreme Kai asked.

"What does it look like?" Raditz responded. "A Double Sunday will erase the ship along with Babidi."

"Please wait! An explosion like that could cause Majin Buu's seal to be broken!" the Kai pleaded.

"The Supreme Kai is right," Kibito added, "We can't afford to let our actions release Buu."

Piccolo ultimately agreed with the idea of the Supreme Kai. He believed it to be wiser to fight through the ship and secure the sealed Buu. Raditz decided to go along with the plan of fighting through the ship. He reasoned it was too big of a gamble to bet on the orb remaining sealed through the explosion.

After the short debate, the group entered the dark entrance of the buried spaceship. The warriors remained on guard for any possible traps. The team found that the entrance of the ship was just a small circular room with one door. A short investigation of the door leading deeper into the ship reveal that there was no way to open it. Raditz already knew that this scenario would lead to the group fighting henchmen to get to the next level.

The door opposite the entrance slowly opened by rising from the floor. A henchman of Babidi was gradually revealed as the door crept open. The alien soldier was wearing white spiked armor and had any elongated head. Like the rest of Babidi's soldiers, he possessed an "M" marking on his forehead. He stood in a confident pose with his arms arrogantly crossed.

"I'm Pui Pui," the alien said as he stepped into the room. "Master Babidi wasn't happy you prevented him from collecting the energy those humans gathered, so he sent me to deal with you. If you want to meet my master, you'll need to get to the bottom of the ship. Each floor is guarded but you don't have to worry about that, because you won't get past me."

The alien laughed, amused by his own sense of dominance. He was powerful before, but after gaining power from Babidi, his strength grew to another level. Pui Pui knew he was no match for the king of the Demon Realm, but he still liked to flaunt his power when he was afforded the opportunity.

"That guy is delusional." Reiss laughed, "He really believes he is stronger than us."

Pui Pui's cocky grin quickly vanished from hearing the teen's comment. He was going to take out the teen first for his attempted mocking, but rethought his plan. He figured the young man was just trying to unbalance him, but it wouldn't work.

Pui Pui wanted to take his time fighting the intruders to draw out more energy for his master to revive Majin Buu. If he fought them one on one, he could force them to use all of their strength. Depending on how well he accomplished his goal, he might gain more favor with his master.

"Which one of you would like to try your luck first?" the alien asked. "I've always wanted to kill a Kai."

The Supreme Kai and his aide Kibito were both angered by Pui Pui's assertion that they would be beaten by him. Piccolo stepped forwards to challenge the alien, but was halted by Raditz.

"Hold on Piccolo. The Supreme Kai has prepared for this moment hundreds, if not thousands, of years. He should be given a chance to fight." Raditz explained, "Imagine how he would feel if he trained all this time and we did everything making his work pointless. Besides, his aide said so much about the superiority of gods, I was hoping to witness it myself."

The Supreme Kai was shocked that a mortal wanted him to fight, but he was prepared. After he defeated the alien, he thought it would at least gain their respect. Raditz was, originally, going kill Pui Pui the moment the door opened, but chose instead to us the opportunity to see Godly Ki in action.

"Are you sure he can handle it?" Reiss asked. "He doesn't seem to be a capable fighter."

"Fine, I will prove it too you." the Supreme Kai couldn't handle listening to the doubts of the mortals any longer.

After the small Kai approached Pui Pui, the room changed into a vast rocky area. The only thing remaining of the room before, was the circular design that was in the center of the floor. The ceiling had become a strange night sky with foreign planetary bodies hanging in the air. A droplet of sweat rolled down the Kai's face when he felt the level of his opponent's confidence rise.

"Welcome to my home planet." Pui Pui explained, "If you are feeling the strain, don't worry, its because the gravity is tens times stronger than Earth's"

The Supreme Kai blocked out the taunts of Pui Pui and focused on the fight. He dropped into his fighting stance to be prepared for what his enemy might try. Kibito wasn't too worried about his master's odds at victory. Although the alien was powerful, he could sense that his master was still stronger.

Pui Pui's green eyes glowed brightly as he darted towards his victim. The pair clashed in a rapid exchange of attacks, ending with the two separating to reappraise the other. Reiss was surprised that even though the Supreme Kai seemed weak, he couldn't read his Ki. The teen had never encounter a being, other than the cyborgs, that eluded his Ki sense.

"Why can't I sense the Kai's energy?" he question his father in a low tone.

"Because gods use Godly Ki." Raditz explained, "It is different from normal Ki because you can't sense it unless you can use it. I'm not sure about the differences because I've yet to obtain it."

"You have tried to gain Godly Ki?" Reiss had no idea his father was attempting anything like that. "Is that possible?"

"A Kai owed me a favor." Raditz said. "After several years training on a certain planet, I spent the rest of my time training in the East Area of the afterlife."

While Raditz talked with his son, the Supreme Kai fought ferociously against Pui Pui. The increased gravity was in no way a hindrance to the Kai. He was easily able to keep up with the alien as they fought through the area. Raditz's eyes focused solely on the movements of the Kai as he fought without holding back.

Babidi was upset as he watched the battle unfold in a his crystal ball. Pui Pui was expending a great amount of energy, but it wouldn't help him because the Supreme Kai's god Ki was incompatible with Majin Buu's seal. If Pui Pui lost the battle, he was sure his next soldier would be too powerful for the Kai to handle alone.

"The energy level on the seal isn't even half filled!" Babidi raged, "At this rate it will take much longer to free Majin Buu!"

Dabura was at the side of his master watching the battle unfold. He was in agreement that it was an unforeseen setback that the Kai decided to fight. However, he was face to face with the long haired warrior and knew his power would go a long way towards the revival of Buu.

"At this rate, Pui Pui won't last long." Dabura calmly stated, "He was a weakling anyways."

In the crystal ball, Babidi could see his alien henchman getting knocked into rocky plateaus one after the other. It was even worse that Pui Pui was losing, after Babidi had given him the advantage by allowing him to fight on his home turf. The wizard felt the least his henchman could do would be to gravely injure the Supreme Kai, but it seemed Pui Pui was too incompetent to achieve that dream.

Like his fatherReiss focused on how the Kai was fighting. The god's combat skill level was as low as Reiss believed it to be. What the teen underestimated, was the finesse and power of the Ki wielded by the diminutive, mohawked, Kai. No matter how much he tried, he couldn't understand the function of how the Kai's energy was being used. A quick glance to his father revealed that the emperor was just as lost as his son.

The area was showered with rocky debris from the Supreme Ki unleashing a barrage of energy blasts into a downed Pui Pui. The screams from the devastated alien reverberated out from the crater that remained from the Kai's attack. The sounds from Pui Pui died before the explosions from the blasts even finished. When the dust settled, the alien was no longer there. His existence was removed by the now exhausted Supreme Kai.

"Fantastic job!" Raditz clapped with a satisfied grin. "It truly was a spectacular performance, worthy of a Kai."

Reiss stared at his father questioningly. It was rare to hear the emperor praise someone so enthusiastically. Whatever the reason, the teen could tell his father really was happy about something.

"I did train for this after all." the Supreme Kai said through labored breaths.

"I really learned a lot from your battle Supreme Kai." Raditz continued with his praises, "Especially that last part where you covered the area with your Ki, blasting that guard."

Kibito ran over and helped up the tired and kneeling Supreme Kai. He was so moved by his master's performance in the battle, that he forgot the Supreme Kai might need assistance. When the tired Kai finally caught his breath, he suggested that the group continue on. Before the group reached the door leading to the next area, Kibito stopped everyone.

"Might you have another of those beans you used to heal your son, at the tournament?" he asked Raditz. Kibito saw how effective the bean was at healing injuries and restoring energy.

"Normally, I would make a big deal about a Kai asking a lowly mortal for help, but since I find myself in a good mood, I'll help." Raditz cheerfully answered.

The effects of a Panacea bean had never been tested on a Kai before, but it worked as well on the Supreme Kai as it did on humans. He was back to full energy the instant he chewed the miracle bean. Never having experienced such a plant before, the Supreme Kai had to learn what the bean was. The Kais were surprised to learn it was an invention Raditz directed his forces to create for his empire.

Waiting for the group in the Next room was a large green monstrous creature. The monster possessed two blades on each of its forearms and stood on long reverse jointed legs, giving the creature an almost insect appearance. Its head was similar to a toads, except it was filled with a row of razor sharp teeth.

"Which one of you would like to be eaten, first." the monster said, "I ate the messengers sent by my master already, but it wasn't eno-"

The creature's words were interrupted by his body being bisected by Raditz. The Saiyan had in an instant moved forwards and brought his hand down through the monster with a swift chop. Kibito and the Supreme Kai stood shocked by what happened.

"We should get a move on." Raditz said standing under a shower of purple blood.

"He didn't even hesitate!" Babidi shouted as he stared into his crystal ball. "He ended Yakon before he even finished speaking! What do you make of this, Dabura!"

"It seems the company the Supreme Kai is keeping now aren't as pure as we thought." Dabura answered.

"Indeed," Babidi said as he squinted his bulbous eyes at the crystal ball. "I didn't bother checking before, but I think the Kai's new friends might be persuaded to see our way of thinking."

"I don't have the level of power you do master, and I can feel the darkness in the hearts of the long haired ones from here." Dabura and Babidi laughed thinking about adding new pawns to their side.

"You should go out, they will be in your room next." Babidi ordered after calming down.

"Yes master." Dabura bowed and made his exit from the room storing the sealed Buu.
