39 Pirates

Name:Dragon Ball: New Life Author:draykan
Bojack struggled to gather his strength has he saw the approach of the Super Saiyan, Raditz. He checked to see if his comrades were close to finishing their opponents. If they were then they could join forces against the Saiyan. The pirate leader trembled with rage to see that his people were barely holding their own.

Toma unleashed a storm of strikes against the short turban wearing pirate that was his opponent. During the battle Toma learned that his opponent was a strong telekinetic fighter, named Bujin. The pirate tried his best to guard against the attack. The powered up lime green Bujin was sent flying out of the stadium destroy a part of the upper section on his way out. His increase in power wasn't enough to contend with his enemy.

Nappa was fighting a tall muscular pirate with a forward facing Mohawk and goatee. Unlike, the bald hulking Saiyan the pirate was covered in wounds. Nappa was absolutely dominating in the encounter against the Person of Hera. The bald Saiyan charged his power and rushed at his foe with his massive arm extended.

The pirates was caught by Nappa's lariat in the chest. He was too drained to fight against the force of the hit. The air trembled from the attack which sent the pirate smashing into a nearby by building.

Debris filled the air as the broken pirate crashed through the walls of the building causing its collapse. Nappa waited to see if the pirate would free himself from the rubble and resume their fight.

When the dust cleared the Saiyan could see his opponent lying, unconscious, under a large section of collapsed wall. He charged a ball of blue Ki in his hand, preparing to finish off the downed pirate. Before he fired the attack Nappa decided to wait and see what the Emperor had to say about the situation. If it was before Nappa would have fired the attack without a second thought, but now he wasn't willing to jeopardize his position so he chose to be more cautious. He also knew what it was like to work for a boss with no sense of loyalty.

The female pirate Zangya realized her boss was in trouble. She knew if something wasn't done she and the others would pay if Bojack survived and they offered no assistance. The Saiyan woman she was fighting was all power without finesse. She was fierce and attacked like a hurricane, but it also made her power a weakness.

Zangya used her superior skills to create an opening by using Celipa's momentum against her. The female Saiyan found herself being tossed some distance away from her opponent. Zangya used this opportunity and rushed over to help her boss. She knew her opponent wouldn't be gone for long. Judging by the damage Bojack suffered she knew it would be useless for her to directly confront the green haired Saiyan. All she could do was to attempt to create an open for her boss.

PSYCHO THREADS!

Bojack grinned as Raditz was stopped in his tracks by the Ki draining Psycho Thread technique. Raditz felt his Ki slowly being drained by the wire thin Ki threads wrapped around his body. The threads managed to remain intact as Raditz increased his size powering up with Great Ape power. The emperor wrapped his arm around the threads and yanked hard pulling the female pirate out of the air.

Bojack was left with no time to react as his ally was used as a weapon against him. The pirate leader was left with no time to react as Zangya slammed into him. The furious Bojack hopped to his feet and kick Zangya away in his anger.

"Zangya you idiot at least do something useful!" Bojack snapped.

"Bojack how can you say that when you haven't done anything useful yourself." Raditz scolded.

"You'll die if its the last thing I do! I swear it!" Bojack promised while his green aura flared.

Bojack winced as two loud crashes came from behind him. His other allies were deposited behind him by Nappa and Toma. The defeated pirates were just left unconscious by the Saiyans. They were curious about how the emperor would handle the situation.

"Just so you know Bojack, once you attack me you will die." Raditz said before clarifying, "That's not a threat, but a fact."

The injured pirate boss was filled with so much hatred he clenched his fists until they bled. The muscles in his jaw were visibly tensed. He was on the verge of shattering his teeth from the force his jaw was exerting.

"Maybe we should give up, boss." Zangya suggested, "These Saiyans are on a different level."

Bojack sharply turned his head to his right hand minion at the suggestion. If he could kill with looks alone the pirate would have die from suggesting he should give up. Zangya drew back from seeing she made a mistake in voicing her thought.

"You should listen to her. The emperor doesn't usually offer second chances." Nappa laughed.

Celipa arrived back on the scene in time to see Bojack charging at her emperor in a blinding fit of intense rage. The pirate roared in fury as he drew closer to his target. He wouldn't be satisfied unless he could reduce his opponent to dust.

Raditz extended his Ki field as the pirate closed the distance between them. The moment the pirate boss entered the field the seemed to freeze trapped in place, motionless. Celipa's eyes widened in amazement by the incredible feat she witnessed. Raditz's arms looked like blurs as he delivered countless strikes to the body of Bojack. Celipa could barely perceive that her emperor was attacking at all. The strikes were so numerous that the pirate boss couldn't push forward through them. It was as though he were stopped by an invisible wall.

After the attack was over Bojack dropped to the ground like a string less puppet. He sat up on his knees as Raditz walked past him towards the location of his fallen comrades. Bojack managed to climb to his feet and stumble after the long haired Saiyan.

"Your boss chose suicide versus servitude." Raditz spoke to Zangya, "What about you?"

The injured pirate didn't know what to say to the Saiyan. She glanced past the Saiyan and spotted her boss slowly trying to approach.

"You don't have to worry about him. He's already dead." Raditz stated. "Do you want to join him?"

Behind Raditz, Bojack dropped to his knees and clutched his head. The pirate was rocked by pain as his muscles tore and his skull deformed.

"Wait I'll surrender!" Bojack hurriedly shouted. "I'll do whatever you want just save me."

"No, I already gave you a chance now I'm talking to your minion over here." Raditz denied the request of the dying pirate leader.

Zangya looked in abject horror as her former leader died in a painfully gruesome manner. Bojack exploded into a cloud of white gases that were carried away on the breeze. She trembled realising that the same fate was waiting for her and her allies. If they truly understood the terrifying power of the Saiyans, Bojack probably would have given in from the start no matter how the enemy taunted. Bojack did value his own life to the point of being willing to sacrifice anything or anyone to survive.

"I surrender." a deflated Zangya said.

"Good. What about them?" Raditz pointed to her unconscious allies.

"They will too! I promise you!" she assured. "What you said about bringing Planet Hera back was it true."

"Yes, but that was on the basis Bojack surrendered without a fight." Raditz explained, "I wouldn't be opposed to bring the planet back as a reward if you guys prove useful."

Zangya nodded in understanding and regret over the fact Bojack was unwilling to entertain the idea of the resurrection of their world.

"Nappa call the shuttle in." Raditz ordered.

The bald Saiyan pressed the button on the side of his Scouter and contacted the orbiting shuttle pilot. Minutes later the shuttle expertly landed in the middle of the stadium ready to ferry everyone back to the waiting ships. The capture crew of the Shadow were pleased to be back on the ship they all called home. The captured pirates were brought to the Menagerie for holding until they could be sorted out.

Back on Earth the cyborgs were in a race against an unknown enemy to recover the last pod Dr. Wheelo jettisoned from the base. The pods containing cyborgs #13-#15 were opened by the time they were found. Not only were they opened, but the CPU chips and power generator were brutally removed leaving no chance to ever repair the victimized cyborgs. Dr. Wheelo hoped that at least cyborg #16 would still be whole when they found him.

#17 and #18 agreed to pick up the pace when the first two pods they found were already robbed. The group originally planned to take it slow and have some fun as they searched for the pods. The twins more than likely felt threatened by whoever was attacking the pods, since they decided to go along with Wheelo's plan to speed up.

They tracked the pod containing cyborg #16 to a dense forest. When they found the pod it was suspended from a group of trees by vines. Clearly, the pod was caught by the vines on its descent into the forest.

"Look its undamaged." Dr. Wheelo pointed to the pod.

After the pod was moved to the ground Dr. Wheelo entered a code in the keypad on the outside of the coffin like containment unit. White smoke hissed out of the lid of the pod as it slid open. Inside was a tall cyborg with a red Mohawk. The cyborg worn a black under suit with bright green armor with the Red Ribbon Army logo on the breast.

The cyborg's eyes opened with a snap and he sat up in the containment unit. #16 looked around at each of the other cyborgs trying to figure out what was going on.

"Commander Gero are you alright?" Dr. Wheelo asked.

"Dr. Wheelo? Is that you?" the confused cyborg asked.

"Yes it is Commander. I forgot this was the first time you have seen my new body." Wheelo answered. The last time he saw the Red Ribbon Army Commander, Wheelo was giant brain inside a mechanized life support unit.

"Where is my father?" #16 asked, "Since I'm alive it seems his research was a success."

"Sadly, Dr. Gero didn't make it." Dr. Wheelo looked sympathetic.

"What happened?" #16 looked completely focused.

"We were attack by Kakarot and his friends." Dr. Wheelo explained.

"What! Kakarot!" #16 destroyed his containment unit in his anger.

He remembered that Kakarot was the reason he had to be converted into a cyborg. Many years ago Commander Gero worked at the Red Ribbon Army's Base 6. He was heavily injured when the base was destroyed by a young martial artist mercenary named Kakarot.
