Bardock watched his son and grandson training on the elevated tower that was Kami's Lookout. In the time that they were there the older Saiyan had become proficient in sensing and controlling Ki. He was amazed that a planet as weak as Earth developed such profound methods of training.

"Kakarot!" Bardock shouted, "I want to talk to you for a moment!"

Kakarot and Gohan paused in the middle of their sparring session to go hear what Bardock wanted to say.

"What's going on?" Kakarot asked as he drew closer to his father.

"I know I shouldn't question your methods," Bardock began, "But aren't you taking it too easy on Gohan?"

"You think so?" Kakarot asked. Gohan was making great progress in increasing his strength since they began training two months ago.

"I never taught you... and I didn't have much time to teach your brother, but I never took it easy on him." Bardock said before asking, "Do you think your brother is holding back with his son?"

Kakarot knew his father was probably right about Raditz's training methods. He remembered the sadistic gravity training before Namek. It was also true that he was holding back against Gohan during their training.

"Alright, you're right." Kakarot admitted. "We'll relocate to the next area."

Kakarot planned to train his son a bit longer before moving the group to their next training destination. His father and son held onto him as he teleported the group away from the Lookout.

The instant the group appeared they were hit by a frigid wind.

"Master Piccolo!" Gohan exclaimed with excitement.

The Namekian was meditating a few feet from the newly arrived group. Piccolo ceased his meditation and rose to his feet. He wasn't really expecting visitors to appear at the frozen wasteland.

"What're you guys doing here?" he asked.

"We came to train. I was going to wait longer before finding you, but I was told I was too easy on my son." Kakarot replied, "You did a great job with Gohan before, so I wanted you to help out again. I was going to easy on him, but I figured you wouldn't have that problem."

"And him?" Piccolo motioned to Bardock.

"Do worry about me I won't get in the way." Bardock replied coolly.

"This is going to be fun." Kakarot was thinking about how strong they could get after the three years of intense training.

A mountain sized iceberg shattered and collapsed into the icy ocean as Piccolo and Kakarot teamed up against Gohan and Bardock. Gohan fought with great tenacity as he tried to make-up for his grandfather's lack of power. Bardock enjoyed the fighting alongside his grandson against tremendous odds.

On Omori's island Vegeta battled against one hundred and fifty times Earth gravity. The strain on his body was tremendous, but his pride would not let him give up. He refused to be left behind in strength by Raditz and Kakarot. His father wasn't interested in intense training the entire time he was on Earth. Vegeta was pleased that Omori Island was a fitting place to train with nobody around to bothered him. He was worried, at first, that the blonde woman would interrupt his training with all of her questioning.

Tights was nearly finished with her newest novel based on the life of Vegeta. She was positive it was going to be hit with the audiences. Unlike her first book, this one would be marketed at young adults instead of children. She was happy Vegeta and his father stayed out of her way while she was working, she liked the silence of the island. She was concerned Vegeta would be hounding her none stop to talk Dr. Omori into building training equipment.

Vegeta found his father staring out at the ocean from the beach. The young Saiyan had finished training for the day and was heading to the kitchens.

"Have you finished training for today?" the older Vegeta asked.

"For now." Vegeta answered.

"Are you any closer to becoming a Super Saiyan?" was the next question.

"No." Vegeta flatly replied.

He hated that question.

It wasn't the first time his father had asked him if he had become a Super Saiyan. Vegeta would have liked to give the older Saiyan a positive reply, but he couldn't. He felt that he had gained more than enough strength but he was missing something. It didn't help that his father continually tried to hang his failure on the younger Saiyan. He was on the verge of breaking down and finding Raditz to ask him how he attained the transformation. Vegeta knew his father was under the illusion that once his son achieved the Super Saiyan state he would reinstate the former king to his throne.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Tien, Krillin, and Yamcha clashed in the air over the western grass wastelands. The area vibrated from the force of the strikes the fighters threw. They pushed themselves to their utmost limits in an attempt to keep pace with their Saiyan friends. The gap between themselves and Kakarot was steadily increasing over the years, but now it was at another level entirely.

"Nice one Krillin." Yamcha was caught off guard by several of Krillin's afterimages leaving him open to a Ki blast.

Tien tried to catch Yamcha with a spinning kick mid-sentence, but the one time bandit had different plans.

KAIO-KEN TIMES 2!

The three eyed human appeared to be moving in slow motion as the the red aura signifying the use of Kaio-Ken flared around Yamcha's body. He dodge under the now slow moving kick and unleashed a combination of strikes against Tien.

Wolf Fang Fist!

The combination was punctuated with the return of the technique that carried Yamcha through his days in the desert. Before Yamcha completely executed the move, Tien grasped his wrists before the biting swipe of the Wolf Fang Fist. Yamcha gasped from someone being able to stop his attack while he was doubling his power.

"You definitely got stronger training with King Kai, but we had our potential unlocked by Grand Elder Guru." Tien said straining against Yamcha.

The two fighters rapidly backed away from each other to avoid the blue beam of energy Krillin fired towards them. When the beam passed between them Tien and Yamcha turned to see their friend giving them a smug smirk.

The beam of energy split into two, after passing by, and looped back towards Tien and Yamcha who were looking towards Krillin. The two fighters looked back to see the beams racing towards them. They were rendered immobile by the shock of the situation.

BOOM!

"AHHH!" Reiss fell to the floor of the Hell Room. The back of the boy's armor had a smoldering hole burned into it by one of the wall mounted lasers in the room.

"You ok." Raditz called down to his son, while dodging the laser fire that turned the room into grids of light.

"Yeah!" the boy struggled to stand.

"Then hurry up, boy. The laser system will randomize soon." Raditz explained.

Reiss gritted his teeth and powered up fighting through the pain. He knew he should be capable of dodging randomized strafing lasers in normal gravity, but doing it in one hundred times gravity while fighting his father was impossible.

The young Saiyan charge back towards his father, continuing his earlier assault. Like the last time, the lasers interrupted his momentum causing him to break off his attack. Raditz capitalized on his son's uncertainty and knocked him back into the path of a laser. Once again Reiss found himself on the ground in a smoking heap.

"Use your full power if you think it help." Raditz taunted.

Reiss crawled to his feet again and charged his power. This time he pushed it further tapping into his sleeping power. The boy's long blue hair adopted a wild untamed appearance while his irises glowed light golden. His muscle mass increased along with a sharp jump in his power.

AHHH!

The boy released a primal scream as he charged his father delivering blows that caused the room slightly tremble on impact. Raditz was forced to fight back much smarter than he had to previously. Reiss always was capable of controlling the Great Ape power inside him to a much high degree than his father. His personality was only minimally affected by his transformation. It was more like the Ape and the person were the same entity working perfectly in tandem.

On Planet Garden Nappa, Toma, Celipa, and Panbukin were training the former Vegeta military in Ki techniques they had learned from the Prometheus empire. They knew the Emperor would be busy for several years and they wanted to be ready when needed. Besides training, the Saiyans, they were in charge of keeping the Empress apprised of any important news or issues the planet faced.

They had become powerful enough to help Nappa keep the population in order. Luckily there were no major problems just small fights from time to time. The Saiyans were warriors so fights were nothing deemed to troublesome. After the fights ended, most of the time, the fighters would go for a drink as though nothing happened.

"Bestseller!" Tights exclaimed.

The brilliant author had just been informed by her editor that her novel had reached number one on the North City Times bestseller list. She was bursting with excitement because the news verified her status as a successful author. Finally, she had written a novel that could overwrite her failure of Chako the Space Policeman.

It was too bad Vegeta had left of space some time ago to train. She planned on sharing some of the proceeds with him, since the main character Begita was based on him. Now the next time she saw her father and sister she could brag about having a successful career. Her next work was going to have to be a time-travel adventure. She hoped one day she could interview the mysterious time-traveling girl that gave the warning about the cyborgs.

CRASH!

Tights was startled by the thunderous sound that echoed across the island. She looked out of her room window to see a smoking crater. The stolen refit Menagerie shuttle crashed down on the beach of Omori's Island. She knew Vegeta must have run out of supplies and was in need of a restock. He made the supplies last two weeks longer than she had predicted.

When Vegeta emerged from the smoke, he possessed a happier look than she had ever seen on his face the entire time she'd known him. The Saiyan looked up in the direction of her window; the look of victory was still plastered all over his face. She saw Vegeta hold his head towards the sky and let out a long joyful laugh.

Time passed by in a blur, finally, arriving at the destined day of the battle against the Red Ribbon Army cyborgs. Kakarot, Gohan, Piccolo, and Bardock were gathered on a grass topped cliff overlooking South City waiting for the others to arrive.

"Kakarot!" Krillin called out from the sky, "How's it going!"

"Krillin, Tien, Yamcha!" Kakarot shouted back as his friends landed, "You guys made it!"

"Of course we wouldn't miss this!" Yamcha was enthusiastic as ever.

"Where is your brother?' Tien asked.

"He should be here soon." Kakarot answered.

The group felt a familiar power approaching the location they were waiting. Vegeta landed in the middle of the group and took a quick look around.

"Vegeta, I heard you were going to help, but I didn't believe it." Tien commented.

"Is that a problem?" Vegeta scoffed.

"As a matter of f-" Tien's sentence was cut off by the sudden appearance of Raditz and Reiss. They were joined by a Yardratian wearing Prometheus armor.

"This is Ramen." Raditz introduced the Yardratian, "He is one of the Yardratians that has been assisting the Security Agents, or so I'm told."

The Yardratian, Ramen, nodded in greeting to the other people gathered on the cliff before turning back to Raditz.

"I will withdraw until you contact me, my Lord." Ramen said before teleporting away.

Raditz hand out Promethean Scouters to the group.

"We can stay in contact using these." he said.

"After we finish up with these machines, I want to fight you, Raditz." Vegeta demanded.

"That's Emperor Raditz." Raditz corrected.
