After hanging up the call with Yi Yao, Su Yanxi gave up on the idea of going to the supermarket. She hailed a taxi to the T City’s First Affiliated Hospital and went to her car to retrieve her laptop.

When she reached the entrance of the hospital, the hospital’s deputy director and Yi Yao were waiting there. Seeing her walk over, Yi Yao immediately greeted her, “Ms. Su, you’re here.”

“Yes.” Su Yanxi nodded lightly. She looked at the plump middle-aged man and nodded with a faint smile, “Hello, you must be Deputy Director Chen!”

The deputy director nodded too, “We’ve heard about Ms. Su’s abilities, but we didn’t expect you to be so young and beautiful.”

“You flatter me, Deputy Director Chen. Please tell me more about this case. I hope you won’t hide anything from me. After all, this is the only way I can help your hospital win this case.”

The three of them got on the elevator and went straight to the meeting room on the 11th floor. When they pushed open the door and entered, they saw several doctors and nurses in white coats.

As soon as she walked in, Su Yanxi felt a cold, hawk-like gaze staring at her. Her almond-shaped eyes swept across everyone present, and a familiar face with distinct edges and corners suddenly entered her vision. In an instant, she felt the entire world quieten down.

She was not surprised to see him in the hospital. When she heard Yi Yao say that it was a medical dispute in this hospital, she had already guessed why he had left in such a hurry. The answer was obvious.

After Deputy Director Chen gave Su Yanxi an introduction, Su Yanxi retracted her gaze from Lu Jingyan. Her expression was calm as she asked calmly, “Who are the people involved in this matter?”

“It’s us.” As soon as Su Yanxi finished speaking, the five people sitting in the second row stood up.

“Then, let’s talk about the case first! I want all the details. Also, what crime did the plaintiff accuse you of?” Su Yanxi pursed her lips coldly and shot Yi Yao a look.

Yi Yao understood her and started taking notes on her computer.

After the doctors and nurses finished explaining everything, Su Yanxi roughly understood what was going on. She looked up and asked, “So, before the surgery, you told the patient’s family about all the dangers that would happen during the surgery, but the family still agreed and signed the consent form?”

“Yeah, because the situation was very urgent, the family members signed the forms as I spoke.” The attending physician, Wang He, nodded with a worried expression and continued, “The surgery was quite successful at that time, and the family members were very happy, but they didn’t expect post-operative complications…”

“So, you didn’t explain the possible complications and infections that could happen after the surgery to family members?” Su Yanxi’s eyebrows were slightly raised, and her almond-shaped eyes, which were as calm as water, became fiercer.

After hearing Su Yanxi’s words, the attending doctor lowered his eyes and stopped talking.

The entire meeting room suddenly fell silent. Yi Yao whispered into her ear, “Ms. Su, the patient’s family is going to sue the hospital for medical malpractice. Would it be better if this case is settled out of court?!”

Su Yanxi pursed her lips and glanced sideways at the man who had been sitting there with the air of a king. She asked calmly, “May I ask what role Dr. Lu played in this case?”
