Chapter 153 A Team of Weakers

The instance zone was named Nature Valley with its entrance lying inside a valley, at the mouth of which there was an Elder Elf. Players could take missions from the elder while the background was that the Nature Spirits in the valley, who used to be docile, suddenly became aggressive and attacked the villagers nearby.

The missions given to the players were about to carry an investigation inside the valley. After the players completed their missions, they would obtain a Magic Card, with which, they could go to submit the missions.

"Need a tenth in our team! Any player with distant DPS? Come on, let's go!"

The Nature Valley was bustling with players in numbers, and their voices rent the air.

The instance zones of each level could be divided into large-scale, medium-scale, and small-scale instance zones. In a small-scale instance zone, five people at most would team up, and there would be an Elite and a BOSS, and this kind of zones was easy to get passed for a relatively strong team.

As for large-scale instance zones like the nest of salamander and Abandoned Town, there would be 20 players in a team and more than three BOSSes of high level in the zone full of Elites. Even 20 people joining hands in a battle, it was usual for them to get killed.

Nature Valley was of the medium-scale instance zones, in which a team would have 10 members at most, and there would be two or three BOSSes of an ordinary level.

Since its open-up, the medium-scale instance zone had enjoyed the most popularity among the players because it did not require the players to have high-level or rare equipment so as to pass it, and this was kind to normal players.

Besides, there were as many BOSSes as in the large-scale instance zones, thus, the equipment that would be dropped could satisfy an entire team.

What's more, the zone had not been exploited before, so, there would be Golden Equipment. Because of these reasons, Nature Valley attracted many players, and the chat interface was full of messages asking for teaming up.

Xiaofeng wandered around and learned that the monsters in this zone were Fury Treants with Nature Attribute, which caused him to give up the idea of fighting alone.

Divine Power could only hurt monsters with Dark Attribute and Undead Attribute and was ineffective to those with Nature Attribute and Life Attribute. Thus, even though Xiaofeng could add himself with BUFF and had Hammer of Judgement, which only had one type of attacking skill, he could not pass the zone effectively.

After thinking for a while, Xiaofeng decided to join hands with others; after all, ten people together could end the fight faster than him alone. As for the Golden Equipment, he was confident to win it over others since he never lost except for an accidental lose to Liu Qiangwei.

"Healer with more than 110 points of Spirit! Anyone want to team up with me?"

Standing among the crowd, Xiaofeng shouted.

"Gee! Healer with more than 110 points of Spirit! Where are you? I want to team up with you!"

"No, we want him! So, just give up, you guys!"

"Bro, join us! Our DPSer has good equipment. We ensure you a quick pass."

"Where are you, healer? I'll pay you five gold coins if you join us."

"Bro, we're from the Third Death Guild. We hope you can join us."

...

In an instant, many people surrounded Xiaofeng with eagering eyes, asking for joining hands with him.

In the case of exploiting an instance zone, the most wanted professions were shield warrior and priest. As long as a shield warrior could hold on, all kinds of BOSSes would be killed in the end, and the priest behind was the main support to the shield warrior.

In Huaxia District, it was easy to find a strong shield warrior but quite hard to find a powerful priest because male players seldom chose to be a priest in the game while the female players, who made up the majority of priests, spent less time on the game. As a result, it was rare to come across a good priest but common to find a priest who only knew how to add others with HP.

That said, there were still skilled female priest players with good equipment; however, they were in a small number, and most of them had joined a guild or a fixed team.

Therefore, compared to shield warriors, who were in great numbers, skilled priests were really rare and precious that many people would like to pay to team up with such a priest.

Even though Xiaofeng just wore a normal equipment and did not put on all his plate armors that day, he still possessed 150 points of Spirit, which was higher than that of all other priests in Huaxia District.

Among the five main armors, plate armors were used to increase one's points of Spirit. If Xiaofeng had put plate armors all over his body, his points of Spirit would be increased by at least 20 points.

However, at the moment, Xiaofeng disguised his Spirit into 110 points and took off the Dragon's Skull so as not to shock others.

"Choose me! Choose me!"

"Healer!"

...

The players surrounding Xiaofeng all shouted enthusiastically. He underestimated the attraction of a skilled priest to other players, but it was ture that with a priest of a high level providing him with HP and attack power and increasing his lifespan, one could pass the instance zone he had failed to and experience the thrill of seckilling a little monster and fighting a BOSS alone.

Xiaofeng did not expect that his words would attract so many players; he ran away in a hurry and randomly accepted a teaming-up request from all he recieved.

"Got a healer now! Let's enter the instance zone!"

The captain of the team which Xiaofeng joined immediately led the team into the instance zone because they already had nine members and only needed one more before Xiaofeng joined them, which relieved Xiaofeng a lot.

"Healer, is this your first try to conquer this zone?"

After entering the zone, the captain, an elf archer, asked Xiaofeng.

The players in the team were all in their twenties, and eight of them were male elves, one of them was a femal Shaman from Orc while Xiaofeng was the only priest among them. Nevertheless, to pass a medium-scale instance zone, with one priest in a team was enough.

"Yes."

Xiaofeng nodded, surveying the conditions in Nature Valley. Though the zone lay inside a valley, players could only enter it through the mouth of it for it was protected under a Ward, which made it impossible for players to clim over the valley to enter the zone.

"Well, please add me with Weapon Blessing, add Shaman with Courage Blessing, and add those in front with Life Blessing and HP later," said the elf archer.

Except for Xiaofeng and the girl from Orc, the rest of the team were all of physical professions, three of whom were archers, four were warriors while one performed as the assassin in human race.

"Got it. Let's get started."

Xiaofeng nodded his agreement. The captain immediately led the team towards the core of the valley.

"Squeak-squeak!"

In less than two minuts after they started, they encountered the first group of little monsters, who were all Scourge Treants of level 15. Because these monsters only had 600 Health Points and 50 Points of Defense, the team got rid of them quickly.

"This is the first BOSS in this zone. It has killed our entire team once when we almost could slain it. We've learned of all its skills. With a good healer, we can kill it easily."

After killing three groups of little monsters, the team encountered their first BOSS, a normal BOSS of level 15 named Calamity Treant. It looked like a larger size of Scourge Treant.

"Let's go to fight it! Healer, take care of our Health Points!"

Some close-fighters in the team dashed forward and surrounded Calamity Treant. However, just as they approached the BOSS, they received a blow from it and almost lost half of their Health Points.

"Healer, add me with Life Blessing and Health Points! What are you waiting for!"

The shield warrior in the team shouted at Xiaofeng while others each drank a bottle of health potion and continued to attack Calamity Treant.

Xiaofeng was indeed shocked for a moment for he did not understand why these people lost so many Health Points when the fight just began. Nevertheless, he still added the shield warrior with Life Blessing and increased his Health Points to full through holy light.

"Wow! With 100 more points of Lifespan, I have 300 Health Points now! Move away, you guys, let me fight it."

Looking at his filled bar of Health Points, the shield warrior immediately cheered up. The fact that Xiaofeng could give more than 100 points to him greatly strengthened his confidence.

If Xiaofeng had not taken off several of his equipment, he could have increased their points by much more.

At the same time, Xiaofeng also added the Shaman girl with Weapon Blessing and Life Blessing.

"Wow! I gained 100 points of attack power! You're indeed an excellent Healer! I'll perform DPS, hold on, bros!"

The captain, an elf archer, shouted with excitement as well. Everytime his arrow shot out, it would reduce Calamity Treant's Health Points by one hundred.

The Shaman girl shot a secret glance at Xiaofeng, and though she said nothing, there was surprise in her eyes because her INT had been increased by 80 points, which was twice of the points she had before. Now, each of her attacks could bring her enemy with more than 50 points of harm. As a Shaman, an assisting role, she had never experienced such a thing before.

"Healer! Hurry up and heal me!" the shield warrior yelled with thrill at Xiaofeng.

Now, he made no attempt to avoid the attacks from the Calamity Treant and lost half of his Health Points in several blows.

At the time, Xiaofeng's holy light had just cooled down, and he waved his therapeutic scepter at once to add holy light to the warrior.

"Awesome! You're indeed a great healer!" "I can hold on longer now! Let's fight again!"

The shield warrior drank another bottle of health potion and charged at Calamity Treant again.

However, Xiaofeng immediately felt something wrong with it. They had been fighting for quite a while, but the Health Points bar of Calamity Treant was still very full. Logically, a normal BOSS at level 15 only had 8,000 Health Points and could not hold on long under the attacks from a team; however, Calamity Treant, who they had been fighting with for a long time, just lost few Health Points even though Xiaofeng had added the two DPSers with BUFF twice.

Despite that one of the DPSers was a Shaman, an assisting role, she should have caused much damage to the treant under Xiaofeng help. Why was their progress so little?

Xiaofeng looked at the damage text above Calamity Treant at once, and he widened his eyes.

"-110!"

"-59!"

"-11!"

"-7!"

"-23!"

"-20!"

" -9!"
