"Why don't you say anything?" John asked with a laugh as he saw how much surprised was the youth in front of him.

"It's that I don't understand what you want from me..." Henry replied, not hiding the suspicions he felt.

"You worry too much. I only want to invite you to the party I created in the morning. I registered as an adventurer today, you see."

Henry stared at John for a few seconds and seemed to decide something before he started speaking.

"As long as you treat me well, I would like to become closer to you. Don't misunderstand my words, though. I don't swing it that way."

"Shut up, narcissist. I am going to sleep. My day was hell today. I'll tell you the details tomorrow." John said as he headed toward his bed. He was exhausted since he didn't have the time to rest at all. Henry wanted to retort, but he soon realized that the youth had already fallen asleep.

At the same time, somewhere in the outer area, a young woman was running desperately on a deserted alley. She wanted to shout for help, but when she opened her mouth, no sound came out of it. Only thick red blood was flowing like a stream from her lips. She turned her head again behind to see if her pursuer was close only to see that no one was chasing her. The young woman started to relax somewhat, thinking she escaped when she suddenly collided with something that made her fall to the ground. She raised her head fearfully and stared at the person in front of her. Her nightmare turned into reality since she recognized the face of the man as he was the reason for her current predicament.

"Why?" she said with some difficulty as her injuries didn't allow her to speak clearly.

The man didn't answer. He continued to look down at her with his demonic eyes that contained a peculiar red color that a human couldn't have.

"Why, George?" she asked again in vain while she was watching his hands that were approaching her throat. Her lover had become a monster that could not recognize her. She didn't have the power to resist anymore. Her survival instinct was the only reason she managed to delay her predetermined end. With tears in her eyes, she welcomed the Grim Reaper that came to take her to the underworld.

"It seems that the experiment is successful. I was afraid that the subject would hesitate to kill someone it knew, but my worries were pointless. The problem is that it's uncontrollable. Its intelligence has become lower, unlike its power that has multiplied." a black-clad figure muttered while it was watching the man with interest.

"We can use it as a weapon, but it won't be too useful. I don't understand why Frank de Alvin hid so desperately his research about this. There must be a reason. I have to discover this." he continued his monologue as he descended from the roof of the building he was standing on. It didn't take more than a few seconds for the figure to appear in front of the man and behead him before it disappeared again. Two soulless bodies only remained on the ground.

The eventful night passed quickly, giving its place to the bright sun. John, who was unaware of what happened in the outer area, was waiting outside of the Tower. He had woken up early and was in a good mood as he thought about his imminent revenge. His eyes suddenly shined upon seeing the arrival of a group of boys. He approached them silently, trying not to alarm them.

"Do you think he'll make trouble for us?" one of the youths asked fearfully.

"Hahaha! Don't be stupid! My brother told me that he ran for his life yesterday. He'll probably beg us for forgiveness." said another one arrogantly. He was related to the young man who tried to harass John the previous night. The rest of the group burst out laughing upon imagining of the predicament of the youth. The boy who mocked John felt proud of himself as he continued bragging. What he didn't expect was that one of his friends suddenly punched him in the face for no apparent reason.

'What the hell! I only wanted to boast a little. You didn't have to attack me for this...' he thought as he looked at his assailant with puzzlement. He didn't understand how he provoked him no matter how much he tried to think about it. He wanted to ask help from the others when he saw that a leg from someone else was about to touch his head. Alas, the kick like the punch caught him off guard.

"I am sorry, Thomas! For some reason, I hit you instinctively. I didn't mean to do it. Please, forgive me!"

"Me too! It seems that I can't control my body. Believe me! I wouldn't dare to attack you!"

The two of them hurriedly explained upon seeing their injured friend that had collapsed on the ground.

"You think I'll believe this kind of bullshit? From today on, we are enemies!" the youth replied with anger when he heard their excuses.

He wanted to take revenge for this humiliation, but the spectacle that followed after left him speechless. A battle royal took place outside of the tower, making anyone who wanted to enter the building to stop. Teachers needed, in the end, to intervene, but John didn't care anymore. He used dark magic to curse them in the beginning to influence their actions, but he didn't need to do anything else for a fight to break out.

"That was fun, but it was too easy. I hope the Academy won't expel them so that I can play more with them."

"You are a devil!" Vladimir commented upon hearing what his brother said. When John narrated what happened yesterday, he was naturally angry, but now he felt some pity for these guys who messed with the wrong guy.

"Aren't you afraid that the third years will come again for you?" Helena, on the other hand, was worried about the youth's well being.

"Have you forgotten who else is a third-year in the Academy? Since we will meet her later, I plan on asking her help."

"You are not only a devil but also shameless!" Vladimir said in shock. He had already guessed that John would talk to Maria. His brother liked to use others to solve his troubles, after all. What he didn't expect was that he would admit it so proudly.

"Forget this. Let's talk about something important. I want to add my roommate to the party if you don't mind. You haven't met him yet, but I am sure you'll like him."

"No problem for me. I am happy you have made a friend. I was afraid you would remain anti-social here too like Moon Village."

"I have never been anti-social. Although my presence is weak, I was popular in the village." John answered with indignation. What he didn't say, though, is that the girls approached him to ask if Vladimir was single, as well as help them to introduce them to him.

"What about you, Helena? Do you have any problem if our roommate joins us."

"I wanted to ask the same..." the girl muttered embarrassed.

"You have a friend that you want her to join our party?" John asked in doubt. He didn't expect that Helena would take the initiative to ask something like this.

"She said that she wanted to meet you. Specifically you, John."
