Chapter 44 - Are You Taking It Out on Me?

“I heard that His Majesty will be teaching this lesson today,” said Classmate B.

Shui Miaomiao glanced at the girl in front of her.

‘His Majesty?’ Wasn’t that word only meant for kings or lords?

So they had a different teacher.

“Yeah, rumor has it that whoever he supports will get famous for sure. Ma Yu, Zhen Zi, Huang Rong, and Sha Linna, all of them became famous after working with him,” Classmate C said excitedly, a hot flush stained her cheeks.

“They are not the only ones,” Chen Yan, the campus belle, who was sitting diagonally opposite to Shui Miaomiao, said arrogantly while she was applying mascara, “I heard some insiders saying that he knows director Wang from the Huancheng Group.”

“Oh my god, oh my god! If the Huancheng Group signs us, there is no way we wouldn’t be famous,” Classmate A said longingly.

Shui Miaomiao stole a glance at Classmate A, who was sitting beside her.

There was no way that students in a film academy did not want to be famous.

On the other hand, she was very self-aware. She had already missed the perfect timing to be popular. Moreover, she had a child to raise.

She attended the academy only because it was Shui Qiangyi’s arrangement. She only wanted to learn some skills and get a job.

As long as she was able to provide for Yanyan, she was satisfied.

The bell rang, indicating that it was time to go to class.

Shui Miaomiao put her phone on vibrate.

The students were all sitting up straight.

At that moment, she received Yanyan’s text.

Shui Miaomiao lowered her head.

“Mom, someone wants to purchase the saber. I negotiated with him, and he agreed on 31,000. Deal?”

“Cool,” Shui Miaomiao smiled.

She had seen the receipt of the saber. Its original price was 25,000. Her son really did make her proud.

“Deal, of course. But how would the deal proceed?” Shui Miaomiao asked. She was being cautious.

“I use the tag-on service. It’s under the table, so it shouldn’t go through the bank accounts. He lives in Ning Chuan too, what a coincidence. We’ve set up a meeting on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the Green Island Café in Golden Eagle International. Cash on delivery,” Yanyan explained.

A wide grin crossed Shui Miaomiao’s face when she read Yanyan’s text. She replied, “No problem. Son, I’ll have the saber in one hand and you in the other when we collect the money, haha.”

Just as she pressed ‘send,’ she felt a shadow looming over her. She looked up instinctively.

That was when she saw Shen Mochen standing in front of her, his face hardened. He stared at her with narrowed eyes, looking quite pissed. He tapped the table with his finger and said coldly, “Give me your phone.”

Shui Miaomiao’s lips twitched.

She noticed that some of the girls who were taking photos of him put their phones away one by one.

Many people were playing with their phones, why did he have to pick on her?

Wait a minute; he was ‘His Majesty?’

Uh-oh, there was no hiding at all.

Shui Miaomiao did not hand him her phone. Instead, she placed it in the drawer, gave Shen Mochen a charming smile, and pleaded, “Sir, please give me a chance to right the wrong.”

“Give me your phone first,” Shen Mochen said with a smile.

Shui Miaomiao put her hands in the drawer too and shook her head reluctantly.

She did not think that he would grab her phone from the drawer.

Shen Mochen knew what she was thinking. He had a warm smile on his face when his eyes swept the crowd. Then, he started speaking in a joyful tone, “According to the information I was given, this class that I am teaching is pretty important to you guys. The president told me that I have the power to decide whether you pass or fail, and that determines if you will graduate on time. So, no cutting classes and only use your phone after the class ends.”

When Shen Mochen finished his little speech, Shui Miaomiao could still see that many students were just about to put their phones away, trying to be as unnoticeable as possible.

Shen Mochen darted a glance at Shui Miaomiao and asked, “And you, aren’t you going to give me your phone?”

She knew that what he said just now was aimed at her specifically.

She could only grin and bear it if she wanted to finish her studies successfully.

Still, she was upset.
