Chapter 31 - Sweeping Through The Floors

Shiva with kapali and his summon were currently on the move towards the second floor's corridor,

Shiva didn't even speak a word after they entered the second floor which made them worried, as they finally reached the desolate place with no one around, Shiva looked back at them, His eyes were moist, his face was red, He seemed to be holding back his tears and to be in pain,

Kapali looked at him as he said,

"Master, It's fine to cry sometime"

Shiva couldn't hold back his emotions as tears started to drop like water,

"It hurts Kapali, It hurts when the one you trusted so much, doubts you like that"

He kept crying, how long was it again, no one cared, they just hoped that their master gets relieved. Humans were like that, They would talk as they wish since the tongue doesn't have bones right? they even forget to think about how much pain that will deal with them.

Shiva stopped crying and stood firm as he said,

"Kapali, let's go we have a record to break after all"

"Right behind you master"

Thus Shiva started to move towards his destination, The second-floor guardian hall.

After some time they reached the 2nd-floor gate,

[You have entered the second floor]

[defeat the second-floor guardian to move on]

Second-floor Guardian was similar to the first but for him, it will be a new experience since....you know!!

as he entered the corridor, he didn't even bother to look at the Guardian as he ordered,

"Finish it asap, We are going all the way to the 10th floor"

The undead army behind him had received the Order, what left was an only one-sided slaughter!

and it did happen as after some time a message rang,

[You have defeated the second-floor guardian]

[You have been rewarded with 2000 karma points]

[You are the 561st person to clear the second floor at lv.10]

The third floor was a maze where the Challenger was supposed to find the correct path to exit the maze, many participants wandered around the maze for days without clearing it, and one wrong move would lead them towards various vicious traps or strong monsters. but all it took for Shiva to clear the Third floor was, the cute calf's Twilight beam with the dragon breath, the whole maze was turned to ruins, he leisurely walked past the path as he exited the floor,

[You have cleared the third floor]

[You have been rewarded with 4000 karma points]

[You are the 189th person to clear the third floor at lv.10]

[The Tower recognizes your achievement]

The fourth floor was rather different, He had to clear a group of lv.30 lizardmen to move to the next floor, and for a Necromancer, he couldn't ask for anything better as one by one all his skeleton summon changed to lizardmen.

[You have cleared the Fourth floor]

[You have been rewarded with 8000 karma points]

[You are the 19th person to clear the Fourth floor at lv.10]

[The Tower recognizes your achievement]

[You are rewarded with additional 10000 Karma points]

The fifth and sixth floor was just battling with Guardians, which Kapali alone took care of.

[You have cleared the Fifth floor]

[You have been rewarded with 16000 karma points]

[You are the 8th person in the history of tower to clear the Fifth floor at lv.10]

[You have cleared the Sixth floor]

[You have been rewarded with 32000 karma points]

[You are the 4th person in the history of tower to clear the Sixth floor at lv.10]

[The Tower recognizes your achievement]

What made him uncomfortable was the fact that even after clearing the 6th floor, he was still not the first person to do that, and there were already four such people.

He was losing control over his emotion,

but seriously, did he think that clearing the floors at base level was a joke, and did he even know the meaning of being in fourth, how many years or decades or millennials had passed since the tower came into existence? and he was fourth among all those trillions, quadrillion, decillion, or maybe even more people who took the challenge to clear the sixth floor and he was still complaining, If I were present beside him I would have beaten the hell out of him already,

a message entered his vision when he touched the seventh floor's door,

[You are entering the Seventh floor]

[Your level is too low it is suggested that you level up before challenging this floor]

A smile spread on his face,

"Now this is what I was waiting for"

Actually, what he did until now was nothing significant all the work was done by your summons, he didn't even have to lift his finger,

This time he took his scythe out from inventory as he looked at his summons,

"looks like finally time to go all out, let's do our best guys"

Virupa looked anxiously at Shiva as he said,

"Master, This floor is a bit..."

"I know, it's difficult but we will manage somehow, let's go"

He interrupted him before he even spoke,

Kapali looked at Virupa as a smile spread on his face,

"Virupa, don't worry, you think our lord is weak, just leave everything to him?" he said while holding one hand on Virupa's shoulders lightly winking at him,

"Cough..cough... alright if you say so..."

Virupa agreed hesitantly as Shiva moved into the seventh floor with his scythe,

"Let's go, Kapali you sure know me best"

"hehe..."Kapali just smiled like a creepy man,

As Shiva entered the Tower a series of messages rang in front of him,

[You have entered the Seventh floor]

[Answer all three questions of the 'One-eyed Sage' to move to the next floor]

[all your skills are deactivated until you answer all the three questions]

"What the....."

He felt his power suddenly leave his body, it was not physical and he didn't know how to express it, but his whole body felt heavy, his breathing became uneven, and he even felt nauseous.

all his skeletons along with his summons disappeared as the message came

[If you fail to answer any questions, you will be sent back to the entrance ]

He was still in a state of confusion when a loud sharp old man's voice entered his ears,

"First question for you child,

'What gets wetter the more it dries?' "

Shiva"...."

Now Shiva Understood why Virupa was hesitating and that damn Kapali was laughing,

"You damn bastard Kapali...."
