Chapter 135 - Visiting Jocelyn in Her Campus

Chapter 135 Visiting Jocelyn in Her Campus

Looking at Aren’s departing figure, Diana could not hold back her emotions anymore. For the first time, she cried out loud without caring about her image.

Aren opened the door and got into the car. Looking at Aren’s red eyes in the rearview mirror, Luke couldn’t help but sigh.

If the scene of Aren meeting his old lover was caught on camera and made public, it would be very interesting.

“Will Master Aren kill me because I’ve seen so much?” Luke thought.

Nowadays, even being an assistant is dangerous. What a scary world.

It was impossible for Aren to be completely unaffected by his ex-girlfriend, whom he had not seen in many years. However, when he saw Luke in front of him, shaking his head and sighing, Aren became angry.

“What is on your mind?”

Aren’s deep voice freaked out Luke, scaring him so much that his body trembled. He subconsciously wanted to stand up and apologize to Aren, but he accidentally bumped into the roof of the car.

The wound from the last time was still not fully healed. This time, it hit the same spot again, making Luke cry in pain.

Aren just wanted to ask what was on Luke’s mind and why he had such a complicated expression on his face. He didn’t expect his stupid assistant to do such a stupid thing. It seemed like Aren had to consider changing assistants. With how stupid Luke was now, he probably wouldn’t be able to hold this position for long Not knowing that he was in danger of losing his job, Luke hurriedly wiped the tears on his face and pretended to be calm, but he was already panicking like a startled animal.

“Nothing. I’m just thinking about some work-related stuff. What can I do for you, Master Aren?”

“What kind of work makes him sigh like that?” Aren was curious, but he was not in the mood to ask.

Aren planned to continue working at the company this afternoon, but after seeing Diana, he was no longer in the mood.

He removed the tie from his neck and threw it on the seat. After unbuttoning two more buttons, he felt much better.

“Start the car,” Aren instructed. He did not want to stay outside this café.

Luke started the car obediently, but then turned and asked, “Where do you want to go, Master Aren?”

“Go…” Aren subconsciously wanted to say go home, but for some reason, he thought of Jocelyn. Thinking that it had been three days since the two of them contacted each other, Aren said, “Go and find Jocelyn.”

Luke, who was already familiar with Jocelyn’s routine, didn’t hesitate when he heard this. He drove straight to the Ivy University where Jocelyn was at. Luke thought to himself, “Is he going to be honest with Miss Jocelyn about him meeting his ex-girlfriend secretly, but isn’t it a little inappropriate to see her empty-handed?” No girl would stay calm when their fiancé met their ex-girlfriend. And to appease an angry girlfriend, a gift was necessary.

But Aren did not seem to know this basic common sense.

At this thought, Luke stole a glance at the rearview mirror, only to find Aren staring at him.

“Why are you looking at me instead of looking at the road?” Aren frowned, unhappy with Luke’s attitude towards work.

“I just thought that you might need to bring something to see Miss Jocelyn.” Luke hesitated for a moment and said what he was thinking.

“Do I need to bring a gift to see her?” Aren sneered in disbelief.

Jocelyn was his fiancée, not his partner. Why did he need to give her gifts when he was meeting her?

Moreover, he still remembered how Jocelyn left him alone. She was the one who did something wrong, so she should take the initiative to see him and apologize for her actions.

He was being magnanimous enough to take the initiative to see Jocelyn, why would he still need to bring gifts to please her?

Aren snorted disdainfully. Hearing the snort, Luke shrank his neck. He felt like he was in an air-conditioned room that was only 18 °C.

“This is your first time going to see Miss Jocelyn on campus. If you don’t bring some gifts, Miss Jocelyn will be made a laughing stock by her classmates.”

“And it won’t take up too much time to buy a

gift.”
