Chapter 121 - Prying Into Her Life

Chapter 121 Prying Into Her Life

Probably because her hatred was too intense, Maria did things very quickly this time. Various rumors about Jocelyn quickly spread across the school.

However, Jocelyn did not know all of this.

After Jocelyn calmed herself down, she returned to the studio. After not having been to the studio for a few days, Jocelyn felt that she kind of couldn’t recognize it anymore.

“Hey, Jocelyn, I heard that you were hospitalized. Are you feeling better?” The first person who greeted Jocelyn was not Emily, who was closest to her in the studio, but a female staff member named Carina.

During the time that Jocelyn was interning in the studio, she wasn’t close to Carina because she had a big mouth.

Carina could not keep any secrets. As long as you told her something, the entire studio would know in less than half an hour.

Jocelyn was not interested in befriending a person who would make other people’s secrets public at will. However, out of basic courtesy, she still answered her question.

“I just sprained my ankle. It’s not that serious. Thank you for your concern,” Jocelyn said politely.

Jocelyn turned her gaze towards her desktop. She acted like she didn’t want to talk with Carina anymore, but Carina didn’t want to let Jocelyn off the hook so easily.

The news about Jocelyn two days ago had piqued her curiosity.

Although Aren came out to explain it in the end, Carina always believed that there must be a secret behind it that she did not know.

If she could find out about this secret from Jocelyn, not only could she become the center of attention, but she could also sell this news to a gossip magazine in exchange for a handsome reward.

The encouragement of money, along with her strong curiosity and her strong desire to be the center of the crowd, made Carina determined to go on prying. She stood in the way of Jocelyn going to her workplace and blinked at her affectionately.

“You don’t have to act tough in front of us. We’ve heard about what happened to you. We believe in you, but we’re more worried about your health.”

“So open up to us. If you have any grievances or difficulties, you can tell us. If you’re embarrassed to tell so many people, you can tell me alone.”

“You know, I’m a very kind person. I’m willing to help people who need me, be it in terms of life or legal help.”

Looking at Carina’s worried face, Jocelyn was not happy at all. Instead, she looked at Carina warily. Legal help? Why would she say such a thing? Had news of what had happened at the Wilson family spread?

While Jocelyn was observing Carina, her heart was beating fast, but she soon calmed down.

The mother and daughter would not allow words that were detrimental to them to spread online. Carina probably said this only because Jocelyn had gone to the hospital. Although Jocelyn was a victim, she didn’t have the habit of exposing her privacy online. “What legal help? You’re thinking too much, Carina. I just sprained my ankle. I don’t need any help.”

Jocelyn was like a clamshell that could not be opened. Without getting any information, Carina looked at Jocelyn maliciously.

Just when she was about to say something else, Anna’s displeased voice was heard from behind Carina.

“It’s office time. Why are you standing in the corridor instead of working? Is the company a place for you to chat? Hurry up and get to work!”

Carina was shocked by Anna’s sudden voice. Thinking of Anna’s terrible and rigid personality, she did not dare to stay any longer. She glared at Jocelyn fiercely and hurried back to her seat.

Before Jocelyn had time to rejoice, Anna walked over in her high heels.

“I don’t care what your identity is in your life, but in my studio, you have only one identity from the beginning to the end. You have to take it seriously.”

“Yes, I know.”

Looking at Anna’s angry eyes, Jocelyn lowered her head and pretended to be obedient.
