Mrs. Wilson placed the fruit plate in front of Maria.

“Don’t be so anxious, Maria. Be patient.”

“Patient?” Maria raised her voice. “Am I not patient enough? How long has it been? It has been almost the entire day since morning, my mother.”

“Even if it was a snail, it would have been enough time for it to finish a marathon.” Sharp, mean words poured out of Maria’s mouth.

Her lips, which were covered in pink lipstick, looked vicious.

Mrs. Wilson glanced at the time and found that it had indeed been a long time. For some reason, her heart suddenly started pounding very quickly, as if something bad had happened.

This bad feeling made Mrs. Wilson’s eyelids twitch nervously.

Looking at the angry Maria, Mrs. Wilson slowly said, “My daughter, you’re a lady. Don’t be so hot-tempered. I’ll call Charles and see how he is doing.”

Maria was annoyed at Mrs. Wilson’s nagging. She only needed to be a lady in front of outsiders. Why did she have to put on an act at home? Wasn’t she allowed to have a chance to relax?

However, when she heard that Mrs. Wilson was going to make a call, she suppressed her displeasure.

She sat back on the sofa and smoothed the creases on her dress, looking like a rich lady.

However, this ladylikeness didn’t last more than three seconds. She impatiently grabbed Mrs. Wilson’s arm and urged, “Mother, hurry up and make a call. I want to hear with my own ears how miserable that b*tch is.”

Maria became excited and stared at Mrs. Wilson.

The phone rang three times before it was picked up.

“Charles, how did it go?”

Because Maria wanted to hear it, Mrs. Wilson turned on the speaker.

She thought she would hear how terribly Joselyn was beaten up, but instead she heard Charles cursing on the phone.

“How dare you call me? Do you know what trouble you’ve caused me, you b*tch!”

Charles spat out a series of humiliating words, which confused Mrs. Wilson and Maria on the other end of the phone.

They self-proclaimed to be members of the upper-class society, and it was simply an honor for a lowlife like Charles to be in contact with them. Unexpectedly, not only did they not obtain Charles’s respect, but they were also humiliated by him.

If it weren’t for the fact that they wanted to know what exactly happened, they would’ve hung up the phone long ago.

However, it wouldn’t be too late to deal with Charles after they found out what happened. Maria’s eyes were filled with viciousness.

When the time came, she would make this cheap man who dared to shout at her kneel and beg for mercy!

In order to suppress their anger, Maria and Mrs. Wilson grabbed the hem of their clothes tightly.

‘When Charles gradually stopped shouting, Mrs. Wilson quickly took the opportunity to ask, “What exactly happened to make you so angry?”

On the other end of the line, after venting his anger just now, Charles finally calmed down a little.

“You still have the cheek to ask me? Why didn’t you tell me that woman is Mr. Brown’s fiancee when you asked me to bully her? Do you know what kind of trouble you are putting me into?”

Charles kicked over the trash can in front of him angrily. The sound of the can dropping to the ground was deafening.

“Now my girlfriend broke up with me and I am kicked out of New York by Mr. David.” Charles shouted.

Perhaps because of anger, fear, or pain from having one of his hands chopped off, Charles looked terrible. The muscles on his face were trembling uncontrollably.

David was like a devil from head to toe. He actually got people to chop off one of Charles’s hands.

And Vivian, once she knew Charles would no longer be allowed to live in New York, she instantly ditched him without a second thought.

Charles regretted having agreed to do business with Mrs. Wilson.

It was all because that b*tch, VIvian, who wanted to buy branded bags.

‘Why was Mr. Brown so angry?

It was because Vivian wanted to suck up to him.

Yes, it was all their fault that he became like this today. These people had to pay for it.

An ominous glint flashed across Charles’s eyes.

Even if he had to leave New York, he would swagger out proudly instead of being kicked out like a dog..
