Soon, the taxi stopped in front of Jocelyn. She walked to the taxi with the female gangster called Vivian and got in.

She then looked up at the few fierce-looking gangsters who were snarling at her. She waved her hand and shouted, “I don’t care who sent you. Go back and tell her that if she dares, come and find me on her own. Don’t act like a pussy.”

With that, Jocelyn immediately said to the driver, “We can go now!”

She pushed out of the car and shut the door. The driver was very cooperative. As soon as Jocelyn closed the door, he started the car and drove off. Looking at the road that quickly flashed by, Jocelyn patted her chest in fear.

“Vivian, are you okay?”

‘The gangster head immediately went up to help Vivian up and rubbed her head. “Does it still hurt?”

Vivian rubbed her head in pain, her eyes filled with anger. She gritted her teeth and shouted, “Damn it, it hurts. Go after that damn b*tch immediately!”

The person who went to hail the taxi said proudly, “Don’t worry. I secretly told the driver to send her to the remote forest nearby. Humph, we won’t let her get away so easily.”

Hearing that, Vivian smiled fiercely. “Jocelyn! I’ll kill you for treating me like that.”

With that, she took out her phone and made a call. As soon as the phone was answered, she cried, “Brother… Someone bullied me…”

The person on the other end of the line was very angry and hurriedly asked where Vivian was.

At this moment, Jocelyn was sitting quietly in the car. The taxi was speeding along the road, but her heart was still racing. She took out her phone, wanting to send somebody a message

But when she saw Aren on her phone, Jocelyn froze.

Aren left his phone number to Jocelyn at the banquet last night, so that she could look for him if she ran into any problems. But now, Jocelyn was a little hesitant, not knowing what to do.

Aren was just her fiance in name, and he said from the start that she should not take a fancy to him. Jocelyn knew very well that they would split up sooner or later, so she had to prevent herself from becoming dependent on him.

Jocelyn ended up not calling Aren and decided to handle it alone. After all, no one could always be by her side and help her for the rest of her life.

Jocelyn took a deep breath, closed her eyes, and leaned back in her chair.

‘As she was still in a state of shock, she seemed to have sensed something fishy. Evelyn turned around and saw the car from the gangsters following closely behind her.

After she got into the car, she had been staring at the people behind her and saw a few of them got in the car. It seemed like those people weren’t going to let her off so easily.

“Damn it, why do they keep bugging me?” Evelyn thought.

Jocelyn didn’t even know who was behind it because those people were obviously sent by someone.

Then… who sent them?

Maria?

Or was it some other woman?

Jocelyn shook her head in denial. Although Maria was furious yesterday, she wouldn’t dare to make such a bold move. If she really did it, the idea must come from someone else. After all, it would do them no good to offend Aren.

Then… who else?

Jocelyn couldn’t figure it out, and there was no time for her to dwell on it, because… the car behind her was closing in.

The traffic light was right ahead, and there were only ten seconds left before it turned green.

Jocelyn gritted her teeth and felt that her car was slowing down. She felt anxious and shouted at the driver, “Sir, please hurry up! Hurry up! The car behind is catching up…”

However, the driver acted as if he did not hear her. Not only did he not accelerate, when he even passed the traffic light, he turned the car into a remote forest.

Jocelyn panicked and said, “Sir, don’t go that way… Otherwise, we might get surrounded.”

“What’s there to be afraid of? You got me.”

The driver replied roughly and slowed the car down beside the forest.

Jocelyn gritted her teeth, uneasiness and doubt flashing across her eyes.

Vroom

Asound came from behind. Jocelyn turned around and saw the jeep behind her, and a number of gangsters were sitting in it.

Jocelyn gritted her teeth and looked at the driver. “Sir, hurry up and drive. If you don’t drive, the people behind will come and get me.”

“Hey, what if they bump into my car and kill us if I try to accelerate?”

The driver obviously knew that those people were not to be trifled with, so he sided with the gangsters.
