“Ouch!” Bewildered, Bevis frowned and looked at Jocelyn, wondering if she really meant it.

His parents would also present at the banquet, and what Bevis meant was to introduce Jocelyn to his parents.

“Can it be that Jocelyn did not understand what I am trying to suggest?” At the thought of this, Bevis was full of hope again. He said excitedly, “I mean, you can get to know my parents at this banquet!”

He was so direct this time that he almost mentioned their marriage.

At this thought of their marriage, Bevis’s eyes lit up. He was expecting Jocelyn to say yes. However, he did not expect Jocelyn to reject him for the third time without batting an eye.

And the rejection this time was even more straightforward!

“I’m very grateful that you helped me out today, but I have something very important to do that day. Please forgive me!”

Jocelyn was a step away from Bevis, looking usually uninterested in him. After hearing what he said, she immediately refused and took a step back.

Looking at the rich man in front of her, Jocelyn did not want to get close to him at all, perhaps because she did not believe that these rich men were sincere.

“Um… Okay, I’ll leave you to it then.”

This was the third time he was refused. He was already used to people around him fawning or obeying him, but this was the first time Bevis met someone who was unmoved by force or persuasion. Even a Casanova like him was helpless.

He was frustrated. The feeling of being rejected was terrible and he looked somewhat depressed.

“Bye, have a good day!” Jocelyn smiled and walked Bevis out.

Looking at Jocelyn’s fair face, Bevis could not help but sigh to himself, thinking to himself, “She has a sweet smile and is so charming, but she is hard to approach. Maybe… I should think of a way to make her happy first.”

After Bevis walked out of the store, he immediately started asking about the Wilson family.

On the other side, Maria angrily got into her car and went home. Without caring about her mother behind her, she asked the driver to start the engine before her mother got in.

On the way, Maria looked at the scenery on the roadside, but she was snarling and mumbling to herself, “Jocelyn, you little bitch, just because Mr. Bevis likes you doesn’t mean I don’t dare to punish you, we’ll see!”

Mrs. Wilson rushed out of the studio. There was no sign of her daughter at all. She then got herself a taxi and went back home.

As soon as she reached the door, she heard the sound of objects being thrown violently in the room. Bang! Bang! Bang! The servant, Lianna, was trembling at the door and lowering her head in fear.

When Lianna saw Mrs. Wilson walking over, her lips trembled. “Madam, Miss is very angry!”

“Why don’t you go in to serve Miss when she is angry? You useless thing!” Mrs. Wilson glanced at her coldly before walking past Lianna and into the room.

As soon as she walked into the room, Mrs. Wilson felt something flying at her. Fortunately, she reacted quickly and dodged it. Then, she heard a voice roaring, “Get lost! Don’t come into my room!”

After roaring, Maria threw a few things on the ground. Mrs. Willson lowered her eyes and saw various jewelry and cosmetics rolling on the ground.

“Maria, if you get so angry now, won’t that make that bitch, Jocelyn, even happier? Have you forgotten what Mother taught you?”

Mrs. Wilson’s voice was stern. She was used to doting on Maria and was gentle and careful with her words, afraid that her daughter would feel hard done by. However, the cold tone she used now frightened Maria.

“Mo… Mother!” Maria stopped and her red eyes were filled with tears. She opened her mouth and said aggrievedly, “I’m really angry. Why did every man I took a fancy to eventually fall in love with that b*tch, Jocelyn? I really don’t understand it!”

“Do you think being angry can make those men change their minds? I think you’re being silly. If you get angry again, the only one who will feel pain will be me, and Jocelyn will only be happier! What you need to do now is prepare for the banquet in three days, and not keep thinking about those men. They are nothing compared with Master Aren.”

“Do you understand?” Mrs. Wilson walked toward Maria, her stern gaze making Maria shudder. She had never seen her mother look so stern and cold..
