Chapter 162 - All Or Nothing

I keep my eyes on Daurl as I struggle to get back up on my feet, I then begin to shiver as I start to feel cold weather hit me.

"my platinum eyes was really helping me by numbing the cold for me."

I look at my limp arms and say.

"I still need to finish this even if my arms are no longer of use to me."

As I approach closer to him, he slowly gets up on

his feet and groans.

"what have you done to me?"

he grabs his head, where blood is pouring out from the visible wound, and slurs his words like he's drunk.

"you dare humiliate me again?"

I reply.

"you at doing a good job doing that to yourself then when you should have taken me seriously since the beginning of our fight instead of playi g around."

he points his free hand at me and shouts in the unknown language, I quickly duck down, but for some reason nothing was fired at me, I then look at Daurl and see that he is looking at his hand in disbelief, I then laugh hysterically as I realize that he is also low on mana.

"looks like Mauri's gift doesn't prevent you from running low on mana."

he points his hand at me while still holding his and shouts in the unknown language and once again nothing happens, I then slowly walk towards him and say.

"it's time to finally put an end to this, with just raw and pure physical power."

he angrily shouts in the unknown language but when nothing comes out again, he yells.

"get away from me!"

he manages to get his wings to flap again and slowly ascends to the air, I then think to myself.

"shit, he can still use his wings." he laughs as he continues to slowly go up in the air.

"this is it Collin, I'll see you until next time."

I look up at him and think.

"I can't let him escape."

but the only thing I can think of doing, is trying the gravity pull spell again.

"I have nothing left to lose, it's all or nothing at this point."

I take a deep and heavy breath, and chant.

"gravity pull."

upon chanting the spell a sudden force releases from within my body, making me feel light as a feather, and in the blink of an eye, everyone that was still left standing, throughout this whole fight, get forcefully pulled towards me, causing so much chaos and confusion, as bodies come crashing around my area, including Daurl who was trying to fly away and escape, Selshruuk groans.

"you could have gave us a warning that you were going to use that spell."

still fighting through the pain I reply.

"my bad."

I wonder on why it worked this time.

"I thought I couldn't use it because I was low on mana, but maybe there was something else that kept me from activating it."

I shake my head so that I can focus on what is important.

"no time to dwell on it now, I'll figure it out later."

I then turn my attention to Daurl who no longer has his wings or his milky white eyes, and step over the many bodies getting in the way, Daurl notices me approaching him and panics.

"how are you still standing?"

I reply by just simply kicking him in the gut, he coughs up blood and groans in pain.

"this is not possible, Mauri's gift was supposed to prevent this from happening."

I try to kick him again, but somehow he finds the strength to grab onto my leg tightly and knock me off my feet, and since my arms are still not responding at my attempts to move them, I hit the ground hard, almost knocking me out I then grit my teeth and think to myself.

"get up, you will rest once you put him down."

I fight through the pain, and stand back up, leaving Daurl completely shocked that I'm still finding a way to move around.

"you are completely insane, you shouldn't be moving at all."

while trying to keep myself from falling back down, I say with a voice full of determination.

"pain is temporary, but death is permanent."

he tries to block my kick, but it seemed like he was already too tired and weak, so the force o my kick knocks him out as it makes contact to his head, and just as I'm about to finish him off, I hear Ying's weak voice from behind me.

"don't kill him, we are bringing him back alive."

I ask.

"how?"

he pulls out shackles that have been enchanted with the mana blocking properties and answers.

"with these of course."

I look around and ask.

"what about the others?"

he answers.

"they attempted to kill us, and since they hold no importance, we will kill them."

Selshruuk stands up.

"I can get behind this plan."

Ying places the shackles around Daurl's leg and says.

"alright, let's hurry up, before we freeze to death."

Selshruuk looks at Drulog and asks me.

"what do you want to do about your orc friend?"

I answer coldly.

"he betrayed me, so he gets no mercy."

Drulog then pleads.

"hold on, I can tell you why we helped him."

I respond.

"alright then tell me why."

he nods.

"he provided us with blood magic capable of taming prisoners and slaves, it was an offer that my government couldn't turn down."

I give him strong headbutt, knocking him down on the ground and say a voice filled with malice.

"I'll let you live for now, but if I ever see you, I swear I'll kill you, without any hesitation."

he stammers.

"I'm sorry."

Selshruuk sneers at him.

"you better count your blessings that Collin was kind enough to let you go, so you better leave while you still have your life orc."

Drulog leaves his fellow orcs behind as Selshruuk and Ying finish them off, while I kneel down next to a shivering Felnor and ask.

"you doing good kid?"

he nods unable to form proper words, I then say to everyone as heavy snow begins to fall.

"let's take shelter in a cave and warm up, while we wait for Celeste to pick us up."

Selshruuk picks up Daurl and puts him over his shoulder and says.

"I'll take him since I'm used to snow."

we go inside a nearby cave and use fire magic to make a quick fire pit to keep us warm, and as we gather around it, Ying asks while staring at my arms.

"so are healing potions not working?"

I shake my head.

"no, I think a healer might have to fix my arms."

Felnor yawns.

"Celeste is not going to happy, when she sees you like that."

I chuckle.

"well at least I'm alive."

I then look at Daurl who is still unconscious and ask Ying.

"are you sure, about bringing him back with us?"

he nods.

"yes we need to find out more about the cult, and as soon as we do, Daurl will get what's coming to him and face justice."

he notices that I'm worried, and says.

"relax Collin, you just gave the cult a huge blow, by defeating Daurl."

feeling uneasy I reply.

"I hope so."
