Chapter 46 - Revelation

I yell out to Rosie.

"I think I over did it, do you have a healing potion on you?!"

Rosie runs to Clyde with haste, she then forces him to drink the potion and after a few moments pass by, Rosie helps Clyde get up, he then makes his way through the broken stands, he junps down and as he approaches me, he asks me with a serious tone.

"so you wanted to talk, about Atlas right?"

I reply with my own question.

"so do you believe that I beat Atlas now?"

he replies.

"not entirely, but your strength and speed is no joke, the only ones that are able to beat me this fast are magic knights that were born with the Hero's blessing, and because you defeated me with no effort, I am willing to hear you out, so go ahead."

I ask.

"have you ever heard of anyone that goes by Abigail?"

he responds with a serious tone.

"it depends on which Abigail your talking about."

I reply.

"a pale woman, with glowing red eyes."

he replies in a surprised voice.

"how do you know that?"

I look him dead in the eye, and respond with a serious voice.

"because she showed up after I killed Atlas."

he sighs and says.

"alright, but we have to talk in private before we discuss this any further."

I nod and shout to Gresnor, Klein, and Rosie?

"hey wait for me here, Im going to have a private chat with Clyde!"

and it seemed like that they listened to what I said, because we weren't followed while heading towards Clyde's Office, and while on the way there he asks with a disgusted tone.

"so why is there a filthy swamp crawler following you?"

I reply agitated.

"he saved my life once, and we became friends along the way after that."

he follows up with another one.

"what about the that thing taking the appearance of a human?"

I respond.

"I found a spell that lets me tame monsters, and because of that, he listens to my orders."

he replies.

"that's very interesting, but I wonder."

he pauses and then he asks.

"how did you not pass the aptitude test?"

I reply.

"I'm not here to talk about me, we are here to discuss about Abigail."

he sighs in fustration as he gestures me to go into his office, after the both of us enter, he closes the door, and after a few minutes I ask him.

"so tell me what do you know about Abigail?"

he replies with a bit of fear in his voice.

"we've been keeping her identity a secret, because what we found out about her is that she is a vampire lord that woke up recently."

I nervously ask.

"are you sure about that, then how did she get to Atlas?"

he responds.

"yes we are very sure about that, and how she got him, we think it happened while he was on a mission."

I ask curiously.

"what made you guys suspicious, was it because he started acting differently when he came back from the mission?"

he sits down on his chair and says.

"yes, and that was the first time we've ever heard of the name Abigail, and ever since that day he bacame more aggressive, and his appearance started to deteriorate over time, then eventually he started attacking students, and those who had the hero's blessing managed to drive him away but couldn't stop him."

as I sit down on the other side from him, I ask.

"so how do you know Abigail is a vampire lord?"

he replies.

"our spies are not one hundred percent sure, but they have their suspicions."

I then ask.

"what about locations?"

he responds.

"there is a location they suspect."

I then raise my voice.

"tell me, and I'll go check it out!"

he smirks and asks.

"are you sure?"

I reply with determination in my voice.

"yes, if what you say is true about her being a vampire lord, then we can't wait for her to make the next move."

he sighs and replies.

"fine but it's you funeral, our spies have tracked her somewhere in the coastal desert of The Kingdom of Corpus."

as I get up to leave, Clyde says to me.

"now I understand why Rosie talks about you a lot... you're a very interesting individual. so I got a one more question for you."

I ask.

"what is it?'

he responds.

"if you manage to defeat Abigail, will you consider becoming a magic knight?"

I curiously ask.

"why?"

he replies.

"putting our differences aside, I can't overlook the fact that you possess amazing power, and the magic knights can benefit from having someone like you amongst us."

as I head towards the exit, I reply to him.

"I'll think about it."

after leaving Clyde's office I head back to the arena, where Rosie, Klein, and Gresnor are still here waiting for, all three of them see me and jump down from the stands, and once they approached closer to me Rosie asks.

"did Clyde give you the info that you were looking for?"

I reply.

"yeah, and it looks like I have to go on another journey."

as I look at both Klein and Gresnor, I say to them.

"alright guys it's time to go."

they both nod, but Rosie looks at me in disbelief and asks.

"are you leaving already?"

I reply.

"yes, I came here for a reason, and now that I got what I needed I can't waste any more time."

she sighs and then says.

"fine then, I've decided that I'm coming along with you."

I reply confused.

"are you sure?"

she smiles and responds.

"yes, there is no way that I will part ways with you now that we are together again."

I reply with concern.

"but this isn't a normal adventure, the place that we are going, will get very dangerous."

she replies.

"I may have taken a job as a gaurd, but I also recieved training in the magical academy, so doing dangerous things is something I'm very accustomed to."

I let out a fustrated sigh and say.

"okay if you really want to come I won't try to stop you."

she smiles and asks.

"so where are we going that has you worried about me coming with you?"

I reply.

"we are going to the coastal desert in Corpus."

she nervously asks.

"so this person you're looking for is there?"

I reply in a serious tone.

"yes and we are going there to fight."

Rosie responds seriously.

"then I will fight alongside you."

we then leave the magical academy, and start making our way to the carriages.
