Chapter 136 - Home

Thomas and Ivy practiced for over two hours and she was finally getting the hang of it, she could now shoot beside the bullseye. She smiled happily, she would soon be able to hit the bullseye all it would take would be more practice. Thomas was an excellent teacher and she followed the stance and aim that he had shown her.

Ring Ring…

Ivy heard her phone and put down the handgun, taking off the protective ear muffs she then walked to her bag and took out her phone. Seeing her fathers name on the screen gave her a headache, but she answered anyway as a dutiful daughter, "Hello."

"Ivy I am staying at your apartment for a while, I am outside now so come home," Victor announced hastily before he hung up.

Ivy stood looking at her phone in shock, what apartment was he standing outside of?

"What is it?" Asked Thomas.

Ivy turned to Thomas and she was scowling, "My father wants to stay with me and is outside my apartment apparently.

Thomas pulled out his phone and rang the front desk of Noah's high rise penthouse, once he hung up he answered Ivy, "He is not at the boss's. We can go check your old apartment."

"I doubt he will be there, I don't know if he knew where I used to live. Also, it really isn't up to his standards." Ivy stared into space as she thought.

Thomas lifted her bag and replied, "Let's go check."

"Yeah, something must have happened at home if he wants to stay with me in that dump," Ivy answered and they both made their way to the underground car park.

Getting in the car Ivy sat in the front and Thomas started to drive to Ivy's old apartment, she lifted her phone to her ear and rang Noahs's mobile. If her dad wanted somewhere to stay she could always ask Noah for an apartment. He had got Teo an apartment just on the floor below them so she didn't think it would be an issue.

"Ivy," Noah answered quickly after just two rings.

"Not busy taking over the world?" Ivy answered sarcastically.

Noah laughed, "Never too busy for you."

"So I have a question or a favour to ask, my father wants to stay with us so can he stay in one of the other apartments you own?" Ivy asked.

"No he can stay with us for a while, he's family after all," Noah answered.

"Emm no he can't. He wouldn't expect us to be living together after all, where would he stay?" Ivy replied.

"He can stay in the spare room that we never use and of course you will be with me," Noah replied.

"Damm it, he's old fashioned, he won't like us sleeping together. What should I say to him?" Ivy asked.

"I will leave the explanations up to you." Noah then hung up the phone with a grin on his face, teasing her made his day a bit more enjoyable.

After Noah hung up Ivy cursed inwardly she really had no say once he had made his mind up, she would have to think of something. She then cringed and her face flushed in embarrassment. What if Noah wanted to be intimate with her? no, he wouldn't while her father was staying, would he? But then they had never really just slept beside each other in bed.

Ivy or Noah had always initiated intimacy with the other, she would subtly provoke him if she wanted some late night fun. Noah was a lot more direct; he would swing her about caveman style if he wanted some.

"What is it?" Thomas asked in response after seeing her cheeks flamed red.

Ivy shook her head as she was overwhelmed in thoughts of their nighttime pleasures," My father will be staying with us."

Thomas nodded, "Oh."

Soon Thomas pulled up outside her old apartment block, Ivy hadn't been here in so long but nothing had changed. She saw her father sitting at the bus stop just down from her apartment. He looked so down and sad. It was dark outside and he was wearing a long black coat and a hat, Ivy frowned and approached him.

Ivy stood beside her father and he looked up and smiled, "I am sorry I am a bit of a failure."

Ivy sighed, "Come on let's go."

Ivy went to pick up her father's suitcase but Thomas was of course just beside her and picked it up and walked straight back to the car before placing it in the boot.

Ivy opened up the back door and her father got in, she then got in herself.

Thomas was in the driver's seat and he turned to Ivy, "Where too?"

"Home please," Ivy answered.

The drive was quiet and they soon reached Noah's high rise apartments. They all got out once Thomas had parked. Thomas took Victor's bag and they all made their way to Noah's penthouse apartment.

Once outside Noah's Ivy turned to Thomas and thanked him before she disappeared inside with her father. Inside Ivy showed her father into the living room, "Sit I will make us some tea."

Victor nodded and sat down. He felt ashamed and embarrassed to run to his daughter for help. She was young and he had given her many hardships and burdens already.

Ivy noticed his behaviour and she sighed.

Ivy turned her head at the sound and saw Noah walk in. No matter what was happening just seeing Noah would change her mood and make her smile. Whatever happened Noah would be her strength, even if she lost it all she would never lose him.

Noah felt the heavy atmosphere from Victor but his attention was on Ivy, he rushed his meeting to come back home and make sure that she was safe. He walked to the kitchen where she was making tea and he saw her smile. Good, she was okay he thought. He kissed her forehead and lifted the two cups from the counter and brought them to the living room.

Ivy walked behind Noah and went to his bar and poured him a whiskey and set it in front of him. Noah had picked the armchair as her father sat on the sofa, he looked like his whole world had come crumbling down around him.
