Chapter 121 - Lucky

Ivy had just arrived at an event which her friend James was doing the photography for she had promised him that she would keep him company. Although she had received her own invite she would never usually attend, but this time she needed to show her face as she would soon be the face off her father's company. People needed to see her take the stage and shine while Cole would be left in the dark.

Today Ivy wore a crimson red mermaid dress that hugged her curves. Thomas followed behind her, he was well aware that if any more slip ups happened to Ivy Noah would become the devil he knew him to be. Ivy had changed Noah slowly over time but he knew his boss was still the same devil everyone knew him as. He had seen the storm brewing behind Noah's eyes as he let Ivy handle Governor Anna even though it wouldn't have been his chosen route he allowed Ivy to take her own revenge.

Ivy barely made it to the event. The large hotel was swarmed with people, with reporters clicking their cameras and flashes of light hitting the red carpet as guest's paraded down the red carpet, dressed in their finest evening wear.

Ivy looked out and spotted her good friend James taking pictures of the guests. She was slightly late so no doubt her friend would give out to her. She waked down the red carpet and Thomas followed behind her, to keep a close eye out. She finished up on the red carpet but she was keen to join James and maybe have some fun that evening.

Ivy turned to Thomas, "I want to go join James now for some fun." It had been so long since she was out with either Pierce or James so she was really looking forward to the evening ahead.

Thomas nodded and felt aggrieved but held it in. What unfortunate events was he about to end up in he wasn't sure yet, "Teo has your changing bag and is waiting for us just outside the private room we booked for you."

Ivy relaxed and smiled she looked for the lift and headed in that direction, "Lead the way, I hate having to wear these restrictive dresses and parade around for show. What am I a dog in Crufts?"

Thomas smiled and hit the lift button, they both then made their way upstairs to the penthouse suite that was booked for Ivy to use to change.

Ivy was taken a back, "This is too much, a normal hotel room is enough. Heck I would even have gotten changed in the ladies toilets."

Thomas chuckled and replied simply, "Bosses orders." Thomas would be skinned alive if his boss found out that they had allowed Ivy to change in the Ladies toilets.

Teo greeted them both at the door of the penthouse and handed the changing bag over to Ivy. Both himself and Thomas stood guard outside while she changed.

Ivy quickly changed into a pair of black skinny jeans, a band t-shirt that she loved and her black leather converse. She put her long wavy hair up in a ponytail and she was ready to find James. She left the penthouse suit and went down with Thomas and Teo to find James.

Meanwhile James was fighting for a good shot as more celebrities made their way down the red carpet. All the good spots had been taken by other reporters. He could always use his lens for photoshoots but he wouldn't be able to get a full shot of them.

"Ivy, we reserved a spot for you and James," Thomas said as he guided Ivy to a place right at the front. Teo then went and spoke to James and guided him to stand beside Ivy.

James now stood at the front line with Ivy, with Thomas and Teo flanking them.

"He did this?" she asked, referring to Noah.

Thomas looked around, and after confirming that everything was as it should before replying, "Of course."

James smiled as he knew how well Noah treated Ivy and he was very happy to receive the same benefits. He then took a few shots of the artist walking on the red carpet. "You have yourself a keeper Ivy, if only I would be so lucky" he muttered affectionately.

Anna was next down the red carpet and the photographers quickly took their opportunity to take pictures of her. Ivy ignored the surrounding hustle and bustle and took out her phone. The crowd then erupted and the photographers seemed to serge towards the front. Thomas and Teo quickly held them back and Ivy was fully protected, she kept looking at her phone until she heard a melodious voice in her ear, "Miss me?"

Ivy blushed immediately and glanced up. She then took a moment to look at Noah, admiring his god like sculptured face.

A loud applause broke her thoughts about a naked Noah in bed. She shifted her focus back to the stage, watching the other celebrities.

James took a few more shots of a few important people passing their mock checks, he was very happy with the shots he got, "Follow me." He then headed back to the reporters' room to work with the photos.

Ivy along with Thomas and Teo followed behind him. She preferred to be back stage than up front with the other celebrities and business men.

James liked using his own sophisticated equipment but they had to get the photos sent before the cut out time for printing. The reporters were already sitting in front of their computers, typing the story as quickly as they could. The photographers were all crammed in one corner, uploading and airbrushing the photographs to make it look presentable for printing.

A few cameramen were exchanging photos; some were talking on the phone while others were simply minding their business. It was a typical press room scenario. Ivy took a seat beside James while he edited his photographs.
