Chapter 118 - Idiotic Guards

They arrived home and Ivy walked to Noah's and her apartment with Teo and Thomas following closely behind. She listened to the two go back and forth and it reminded her of two brothers and she supposed this was like her unconventional family. She smiled and got out her keys as the two continued to bicker loudly.

"Just give me one of yours, you have plenty. I doubt you will even eat them all!" Thomas gruffed at Teo. Thomas didn't see why he wouldn't share with him.

"No, you ate all yours." Teo held his to go box tightly and out of Thomas's reach.

"Aww come on aren't we friends... no better we are brothers in arms." Thomas didn't intend to give up, the pastries were too delicious.

"I have a rule and I need you to respect that, I don't share food." Teo had watched Thomas inhale his food very quickly in the car, much like a starved lion. So he didn't feel the need to share, also would Thomas give up after stesling just one?

"Come on, you don't want to wreck all your training and physic. So let me help you eat them?" Thomas nudged Teo on his arm, hoping his constant persuasive words would wear him down.

Ivy rolled her eyes at the two and opened her apartment door before saying, "Okay you two play nice and have a good evening." She smiled at them both and entered her apartment.

"See you in the morning Ivy." Thomas nodded and then looked towards Teo's pastry box with obvious intent.

"Sleep well, Ivy." Teo smiled at Ivy and waited for the door to close before he would walk away.

As soon as Ivy closed the apartment door Thomas dove on Teo, putting his arm around his shoulders, "Come in bud, you are not going to eat them all anyway. How about I arm wrestle you for them? Or give me them and I wilp buy you some tomorrow?"

Teo ducked under Thomas's arm and stepped to the side, he then walked to the lift and pushed the button to call the lift, "No, first I plan to eat them all. Second I don't want to arm wrestle against you, I know I would lose and lastly, you don't need to buy me some tomorrow as I will eat and enjoy these tonight." He then smiled at the frowning Thomas.

Thomas huffed, the lift arrived and they got in together. The doors closed and Thomas kept eyeballing the to go box of pastries. He knew he was being greedy but he couldn't help himself right now. He dove in Teo again this time he used his body weight against him.

Teo saw Thomas's watching him then getting ready to attack so he went into defence mode. This was something he excelled at during his training. None the less his performance was below par when it came to Thomas's capabilities. They both scrambled about the lift floor.

The lift door opened, both ignorant men continued. One was protecting his precious pastries the other was shamelessly using brute force and strength to snatch them away. After noticing the lift doors not closing they both stopped fighting and looked up.

Noah stood glaring at the two that had ended up on the lift floor, they had not even registered their boss's unfriendly aura or the fact that cream covered them and part of the lift wall.

Aiden held the lift door open with one hand and could only roll his eyes at these two unfortunate men. They had dirtied the bosses private lift and they looked like two teenage boys innocently looking up at Noah.

Noah sighed he had rushed through every meeting and even left some paperwork sitting waiting for him to finish tomorrow. He never usually did this but he had long missed Ivys presence even if it had only been a day.

Thomas looked a little sheepish, he straightened his suit and hair while standing up to greet his boss, "Evening boss."

Teo was embarrassed too and followed suit, "Eve... Evening Mr Adler." He fixed his suit and hair all the while holding a now crumpled box of pastries.

Noah was keen to see Ivy so against his own usual judgement he got inside the lift that was covered in cream and the two idiotic guards.

Aiden followed in behind Noah, he could only sigh in his heart. Good thing Ivy was at home and the boss was in a good mood.

The journey to Noah's apartment was quiet. Thomas who was usually full of chat was quiet and staring at his shoes like they were the most interesting things he owned.

Noah ignored the two, letting them enjoy themselves as he too was about to have an entertaining evening himself. He smiled smugly as he walked out of the lift and towards his apartment.

"Night sir!" Aiden announced.

"Night boss." Thomas then spoke up.

"Good night Mr Adler." Teo sheepishly said.

Aiden then turned to the two cream covered men, "Idiots, what age are you both? Good thing Ivy forgave the boss and he is in a good mood."

"I know." Thomas licked the cream off his hand before grabbing the to go box from Teo.

"Sorry, Aiden... Hey... Here have them or what is left of them." Teo had started to apologise when Thomas shamelessly grabbed his pastries without remorse. He was certain the rumours were not true, he was working with a teenager with the body of a gorilla and not a legend like he had imagined. He ached where Thomas had attacked him earlier and rubbed his sore muscles.

Thomas smiled happily as he tucked into the squashed pastries. Even slightly damaged it didn't ruin the taste of Pierce's delicious pastries.

Seeing Thomas shamelessly enjoy himself and Teo rub his obviously sore shoulder Aiden shook his head and decided to let them be. They had to bond in order to work together harmoniously and if the boss didn't reprimand them why should he spoil their fun.
