Chapter 101 - Snow Angel

After a while, Ivy put away her laptop and leaned her head back to sleep some more. After a small nap, she woke up to find herself staring into black material. Uncertain and disorientated, she blinked a couple of times, only to discover she was actually sleeping on Noah's lap and the dark material she was staring at was Noah's pants. It took her another few second to realize that she was very intimate in Noah's crotch; in fact so intimate that her face was almost buried in it.

Embarrassed, mainly because she knew that the car didn't have any privacy and Thomas and Aiden could see everything she quickly sat up.

Neither of the two in the front mentioned anything or made any comment. She supposed they were used to it but that didn't mean that she was. Her cheeks turned pink again.

Ivy glanced out of the window. The scenery remained unchanged but the car was already slowing down.

"Wh—where are we?"

"We're reaching Zermatt Resort," Noah answered.

"Do you own the place?" Ivy wondered.

"No, an acquaintance of mine does," Noah remarked.

Ivy leaned back and watched as the car came to the full view of the resort. It was a huge skiing mountain with every other winter sports facility one could ever imagine. They all disembarked the car and went inside the hotel lobby. It was cold and Ivy wrapped her coat around herself.

"I will leave you here to see to some matters to attend to" Noah announced when they were inside the hotel lobby. He glanced briefly at Thomas and nodded at the guard.

Understanding Noah's non-verbal instructions clearly, Thomas merely nodded and then followed Ivy to the skiing mountains.

Aiden then arrived at Noah's side, "Sir, the room has been prepared."

Noah watched as his lover disappeared into one of the doors leading outside before turning to his secretary. His expression turned serious. "Then, let's get things started."

They walked into a large hotel suite that had vast glass panels for windows, offering an extraordinary view of the skiing mountain. The entire mountain was covered with snow, which was a pleasure for all winter sports fanatics.

Looking directly below, Noah discovered his lover and Thomas had already suited up in their winter gear. While Thomas chose black, Ivy had to go for the most colourful red possible.

And like a kid entering a large playground, she giggled and spread her arms wide before lying on the snow-covered ground. She was making a snow angel as she smiled up at Thomas.

Noah grinned. Ivy was in many ways, predictable. He knew Ivy would relish the snowy mountains. He wanted to bring Ivy somewhere further but some things needed his attention and taking any length of time off was out of the question, especially with so many things happening. He needed to guard his territory or those sneaky men would snatch whatever he had right under his nose – including Ivy.

Noah watched as Ivy disappeared into the sky lift with Thomas before focusing his attention on the laptop in front of him.

"Sir, the video is now connected and we're live with Kanda and Makoto," Aiden announced.

Noah's eyes narrowed. "Let's begin."

After a three-hour-long meeting, Noah turned off his laptop and closed it. Aiden was ready beside him and handed him a glass of whiskey.

Noah took the glass and drained the amber liquid. It burned on the way down and heated the man from the inside.

He then took a minute to stare outside. There weren't many people on the ski mountain, he made sure of that. His business partner assured him that he would restrict the amount of people in the ski mountain for Ivy's skiing pleasure.

And from the looks of it, the man kept his word. Noah then saw Ivy she was throwing a snowball at Thomas. Noah smirked, Ivy really gets excited over the smallest things. He watched Ivy threw a few more snowballs at Thomas before Nosh stood up and put on his coat.

It was near dinner time when Noah met Ivy in the lobby of the hotel. They were ready to depart to their hotel.

"What have you been doing all this time?" Ivy asked as she approached Noah.

"Working," Noah remarked before pulling her closer and bringing her to their Range Rover where he helped her inside.

Ivy eyed her lover before looking out of the car into darkness. "And where are we going?"

It was really very dark outside and ivy felt a bit apprehensive so she moved her body closer to Noah, something she wouldn't do normally during the day.

Noah rested his gaze on Ivy. She was too preoccupied looking outside to realize he was being stared at. "We're going for dinner before retiring for the evening." Noah held her closer sensing her unease.

"Oh okay." Ivy watched the dark night sky as they continued the journey in silence.

After an hour, the outside landscape changed as the car continued through the smooth paved road, passing through what looked like a maze of pine trees. There was little light along the way and the Range Rover had to rely on its headlights to navigate around.

The narrow road soon opened up to a large clearing. The car pulled to a stop and Aiden immediately stepped out to open the door for Noah.

Noah scooped her up into his arms and she put her arms around his neck. She saw a large semi-circle some that had clear thermal glass installed around the walls and ceiling, allowing clear views of its surrounding. It was the only light around for miles. Are they staying here?

Seeing his lover's funny facial expression Noah smirked and answered her unasked question, "This is where we're staying for the night."

"Can we see the northern lights from here?" Ivy asked excitedly.

Noah chuckled, "From here yes but not often only if we are lucky." He then walked them closer to their house.
