Chapter 82 - Given The Red Light

"Thomas, your out!" Ivy rushed to Thomas who stood by the door sheepishly.

Ivy flung her arms around Thomas.

"Ugh."

"Sorry, sorry. Why aren't you in the hospital?"

"I didn't want to leave you alone today and... Also... I wanted to see if you forgave me?"

Thomas nervously scratched his nose and avoided eye contact.

"Forgive you, Thomas don't be silly there's nothing to forgive. Thanks for always being there for me."

Ivy hugged his waist.

"Thank you, Ivy."

"Stop that we are family, let's do something relaxing and fun today? What happened to Teo I thought he was going I be here?"

"I gave him the day off to see his mum... Games?"

"Sure, but I wanna pick Noah up from work later as we are going to my dads for dinner so only for a few hours."

Ivy and Thomas settled on the sofa to play some video games.

Meanwhile, Noah was ready to chew his subordinates alive for their inadequate performances. Virtually every Director who went into the management meeting chaired by Noah shuddered in their seats when they submitted their reports to the icy CEO.

Poorly managed clubs, poor dividends and discrepancies were among the main problems Noah noticed. Noah as feeling even more unwell now, his mood was dark and unclear, which made the directors in the meeting feel distressed since Noah was known not to be forgiving when it came to errors.

The hour-long meeting finished with every director feeling sweaty and fearful for their jobs, with two already fired, they didn't know which of them would be next.

"Aiden, notify the directors to submit their reports to me by ten tomorrow," Noah instructed the minute he entered his office, the meeting made his headache worse.

Once Aiden left Noah sighed and leaned his head back against his leather chair he pinched his glabella. Once Aiden returned he noticed Noah's state he gave him a sympathetic smile.

"Are there any reports that I should look at, at the moment?"

"Actually sir, there are a few," Aiden replied as he pointed to a huge stack of documents organized on the right side of Noah's mahogany desk.

Noah turned his head and sighed he usually wouldn't complain as he was a self-proclaimed workaholic but at the moment, the urge to push the pile of reports aside was inviting. The irritating headache and chills he had since this morning returned with a vengeance. He closed his eyes.

"Sir by any chance, unwell?"

Opening his eyes, Noah placed a finger around his temple, gently pressing it.

"I have a headache, that's all."

Aiden looked startled.

"Would you like me to call Doctor Stewart?"

"That won't be necessary."

His onyx eyes glanced at the pile of documents that were stacked high. He sighed and opened the first one, ignoring his chills and a throbbing headache. Trying to ignore the headache, he began the gruelling task of reading.

Four hours later Noah sat behind his mahogany desk and massaged his temples. Over the past few hours he felt, chills and his headache had only worsened and his body weakened. He suspected fever but like his lover, he wasn't fond of medication.

He drank the coffee Aiden had handed him and nearly spat the liquid out. Nothing tasted as terrible as bitter, cold coffee. Grabbing his bottle of still water on his desk, he gulped down half the bottle and placed it back on the table again.

A discreet knock could be heard.

Knock Knock

Noah's attention went to the door, he was happily surprised to see Ivy walk in.

"To what do I owe this pleasure?"

Ivy wore a skin-tight black dress and black heels. Every curve was displayed and Noah lost his words when seeing her sway in and sit against his desk.

"I'm here to pick you up."

Noah pulled her on to his lap as it was his habitual habit.

"Arriving in my office, wearing this sexy little dress... I can only think you are giving me the red light to be taken."

Nudging Noah, Ivy then climbed off Noah's lap.

"No, dinner with my dad remember?" She turned to walk away.

Rather than letting Ivy go like he usually did, Noah stood up and caught his hand. Ivy was surprised by Noah's actions, so she didn't object when Noah crushed his mouth onto hers.

His lips were searingly hot against hers, Ivy scrunched her eyebrows.

The heat made Ivy break the kiss, she gazed at Noah. It was then she noticed that Noah was flushed and there was a slight sweat on his temple.

"Noah... Your sick."

Ivy felt her heart tug seeing Noah like this. Had all the stress of work and her kidnapping made him sick?

"I don't get sick, let's go."

Noah stood up but he staggered and Ivy went forward to support his bulky body.

Ivy helped Noah to his office bedroom and nearly fell on to the bed along with him. She fixed Noah so he lay properly on the bed then she took off Noah's black leather shoes, placing them neatly on the floor.

"Aiden... Thomas... Help!"

Thomas and Aiden rushed in at Ivys shouts. They looked at Ivy then Noah.

"I think he's sick."

Ring Ring

"Doctor Stewart Noahs office now."

Aiden had rung for Doctor Stewart's assistance then quickly hung up and went to the bed beside Ivy. With the help of Aiden, together they stripped off Noah's suit jacket and vest. Aiden then stepped back.

"I'll go downstairs and meet Doctor Stewart."

"I'll have you to it as well Ivy." Thomas followed Aiden out.

Ivy stared concerned at Noah's state. She went to the bathroom and filled the sink and took a small white towel dunking it in the water. Turning off the tap she went back to Noah's side. She stripped off his shirt.

His toned muscles were warm and sweaty. She bit her lip then shook her heard she was having very lustful thoughts of her lover and she felt wrong for doing this. She got to work wiping down his body and kept her thoughts straight.
