Chapter 80 - Annoying Fly

When Thomas opened his eyes, he was stunned to see himself hooked onto many tubes and a monitor. He looked to his left and noticed on the long couch at a corner next to the window, lay a sleeping Ivy. His mouth tilted in a genuine smile, she was okay he sighed. Would she forgive him he wondered?

Noah strode into the room and Thomas tried to sit up to greet his boss.

"Boss."

"Don't get up."

Noah put out his hand out to stop him.

"Boss I'm sorry, I failed to protect Ivy."

Noah took out a cold, black gun and set it into Thomas's hands. Thomas slightly trembled to see the gun. Did he want him to shoot himself again?

"You will need this when you return to work."

Thomas breathed a sigh of relief for a moment he thought Noah would end his life for failing his mission. He was relieved that he would be back at Noah, Aiden and Ivys side before long.

Noah then strode to Ivys side, leaning down and carrying her up into his arms and strode out of the room with her in his arms.

Ivy woke with the movement and the cologne smell of Noah. She wondered if he had just arrived.

Earlier she was brought to the hospital by Teo and it had just been the three of them at the hospital. She smelt his cologne and the fresh smell of his shower gel off his body. He must have showered. She shivered thinking of what had happened and didn't dare to think what Noah had done to Mr Evans. Thinking she didn't want to be a burden she struggled in his arms a bit.

"You can put me down."

"No."

"I'm really okay."

"Be good."

Noah carried her out of the hospital and into the car. He set her in his lap and Ivy blushed when she saw Teo and Aiden in the front seats.

Teo drove them back to the apartment. She sat on Noah's lap, swirling her fingers on his shirt. Which made Noah smile.

Ring Ring

In the quiet car, Ivys phone rang out. She thought she had lost it, her brows scrunched together.

"Thomas had it, here."

Noah answered her unasked question and handed her phone to her. She checked the callers I.D.

Dad

She looked at Noah before answering.

"Hello."

"Ivy, you left without a goodbye, are you safely home know?"

"Yea dad, sorry."

"No matter... I wanted to ask you home for dinner?"

Ivy paused, home she thought.

"Sure."

"Tomorrow then?"

Her dad sounded genuinely happy. Just as she was about to answer Noah pinched her hip. She scowled at him but judging by his face he wanted to come too.

"Can I bring a guest? Ouch..."

"Ivy did you hurt yourself."

"No no I'm okay. I meant can I bring my partner?"

"Yes of course you can."

"Okay, dad I will see you tomorrow."

Ivy hung up and looked at her childish lover, she was amused he paid particular attention to being called a guest.

Noah ignored her amused look, he wanted everyone to know Ivy was his especially as her dad still invited that annoying fly around so often.

They reached the underground car park and once again Noah refused to let Ivy walk no matter how much she protested, so he carried her to their apartment and straight to their bed. He set her down gently against the pillows.

"I'm not tired."

Noah smiled and removed his jacket throwing it to tje floor. Next came off his shirt, button by button.

"Hmm."

"Are you going to use sex as a sedative? It won't work."

Noah smirked, he removed his belt and pants before tugging Ivy towards him on the bed.

"What I'm about to do to you is much more than just sex, Ivy."

Noah sealed his lips in a passionate kiss, guiding his tongue inside her mouth for a slow hot kiss. Ivy giggled and pulled Noah to her, grinding their bodies together as she kissed him back.

"Prove it to me." She taunted as she caressed his toned six-pack with her fingers.

Lifting Ivys shirt he held her in his arms.

"Then I suggest that you hold on to me because I'm going to make you scream my name all night long."

Back in the hospital Doctor Stewart had just visited Thomas and gave him a medical assessment. His wounds were not fatal although he had lost a lot of blood, Thomas would be healed soon.

"Well, I will do my other rounds. So long as you take all your medicine and follow my plan you can be discharged in a week."

"Thanks, doc, is like to leave as soon as possible."

Doctor Stewart patted his arm and nodded in agreement. He knew Thomas devotion to Noah and now Ivy. It was more like an unconventional family than work to Thomas.

"I know but your health comes first."

Thomas nodded dejectedly.

An hour later Aiden came into the hospital room with dinner for the two of them. He set it on the table beside them and sat down on the leather visitors chair beside Thomas.

"Aiden, thanks for coming."

"Of course, your recuperating and so is Ivy. We all have some downtime. I have no doubt you would visit me."

Aiden unwrapped the food and put out each of their portions.

"So what happened in the end, tell me."

Aiden took out the cutlery and handed Thomas his set. He smirked at Thomas question.

"The boss does what he usually does he taught Eric a lesson for having ideas he shouldn't."

"Good."

Aiden sighed before taking a bite of the food he brought. He got them both vegetables congee. The congee would be easily digested, supplements blood and qi back into the body. It can relieve inflammation and nourish the immune system, all of which would help Thomas body.

"Sorry it's bland, I'll take you for a steak when your out."

"I'll hold you to that."

Thomas smiled at his friend and dug into the congee.
